"THE FORGOTTEN SPRING"

3RD PERSON POV
In a small family restaurant not too far from the school, Kai and Haru sat at a table by the window. It should’ve been a relaxing lunch, a celebration for their graduation even but the atmosphere between the two couldn't have been more different.
Haru sat with the biggest smile on his face, his eyes sparkling as he scanned the menu even though he already knew what he wanted. He was glowing it's like the best day of his life.
Meanwhile, Kai sat stiffly beside him, clutching the menu with sweaty hands, barely glancing at the items listed. He kept looking up, then down landing on the door, the utensils, the ceiling, anything that would let him avoid the tension pressing on his chest.
(A few minutes before...)
“Mom! Tou-san!”
