Selena was never meant to know the existence of Velmora. Selena grew up in an old house near Turkey, but far away, hidden in the hills. She grew up with her grandmother, who kept her safe from a secret organization called Division that hunted those with supernatural abilities and from truths Selena was never meant to know.

This safety was all shattered when one night, the division found them and tried to capture them. This night unlocked Selena’s supernatural abilities hidden in her for many years. That night marked her first kill and put a target on her back.

Selena was able to escape from them with a ship hidden underneath the river. She crashed hard into the forest, no one dared to enter. Selena is then given entrance to Velmora, a hidden world for supernaturals.

This world has been hidden away and sealed away from humanity for twenty-four years. This world had witches, werewolves, mind benders, pyrokinestics, illusionists, healers, and emphaths.

Yet when Selena arrives, everything changes.

In Velmora, she meets Leo Ashford, the Alpha of all the hundreds of Werewolves and second in command in Velmora. Destiny and fate push them towards each other, regardless of Selena’s bloodline. They share a love like no other that seems unbreakable.

Selena is one of the last surviving members of one of the seven most powerful families, which possess all powers. Although Selena is different because she is the daughter of John Blackwell, who holds unexplainable power and whose bloodline possesses dark magic, which also runs in Selena.

After twenty-four years of peace, division finally gets closer to discovering the hidden world. What wiped out her ancestors now hunts her new world. Hunted across worlds, never taught how to fight, burdened by power that might protect the world or break it further.

Selena must decide who she is willing to become, and if love really does conquer all things.

The night everything changed
Chapter one My existence alone makes me prey. My name is Selena Williams. I live near Turkey’s hills, far from the city and hidden in an average home suited for two. I have lived with my grandmother since I was a young child. She is the only family I have or that I am aware of. I have never had friends or relatives I could visit or call family. It has always been my grandmother and me since I can remember. My whole life revolves around this house and the woods. I tried to question her as to why we lived so far and were cut off from the world, and her response was always, “Distance keeps you safe .” She always avoided the question. I tried to run away many times, but each time I did, I couldn't get through a barrier. It was like an invisible barrier that stretched way up to the sky. I wondered how possible that was and why I could not see it, but only touch it, and each time I questioned my grandmother about it, she would always dodge my questions and act like everything about it was normal. Running away was not possible. One night, as I was asleep, Grandma burst into my room in panic Then suddenly, the sound of gunfire began, they were shooting at all the windows in the house, and the walls of the house. I went to the corner of my bed and covered my ears in fear. It sounded like the gunfire was coming from every direction, almost like they had surrounded the house, and there was no way of escaping. Finally, the gunfire ceased. Grandma held me in her arms, almost as though she was shielding me. She took my hands off my ears and held them as she said, “ Hide and don't come out till I tell you to.” My fingers trembled as she left the room. I quickly hurried to the closet in front of me as my legs stumbled and fell to the floor. I barely managed to pick myself up and get to the closet, but fear dragged me on. As I was hiding in the closet, the gunfire began, but I could not hear my grandmother's movements in the house or her voice. Curiosity gets to me as I step out of the closet. A man came through my window, shattering the remaining glass, and pointed a gun at me. Suddenly, I could feel heat rising from beneath my skin. I let out a scream so loud that the light bulbs shattered and the ground below rumbled. I could feel the power in me. It felt like something that took control. I looked at the man’s gun as it melted like wax just by my thoughts. He gasped, drowning on his own spit, voice thin - almost gone - as he whispered. “Please stop, I can't breathe.” I stared at him with no emotion or empathy, almost as if it wasn't me. I ended it piece by piece while his expression begged for mercy, as I snapped his neck, ending him. My grandmother came into the room, as she was about to tap my shoulders, I pushed her against the wall without laying a finger on her. I began to squeeze the life out of her She whispered some words out of her mouth. Words I did not recognize. I collapsed to the ground. She hurried to me, holding me in her arms. “What did I do?” I said. She looked into my eyes with tears in her eyes as she said, “You have to leave now. There is a ship waiting for you by the riverside. Call to it, and it will rise from the river and take you home. Enter the coordinates latitude 46.77528, North, longitude 23.56193, East. You are going to the Hoia-Baciu Forest. When you arrive, tell them your name is Selena Williams, daughter of Jane Williams, and your father is John Blackwell.’’ “ No grandma, I can't leave you here. I need you,” I replied, grieving. She replied, “ No, my sweet child, not anymore. Everything you need is ahead of you. We have no time now; more agents are on their way. Go now..Run!” I got up and hesitated as she looked at me and said, “Till we meet again.” I turned away and ran into the woods as fast as I could. As I ran, Grandma’s words echoed, “Distance keeps you safe.” I could hear the footsteps of people following me as I ran Once I got to the river, I wondered what Grandma meant by call out to it. I bent down and dipped my hand into the river while my breath slipped out low, barely there. “I call upon you, come out,” I said. The river bagn to vibrate. I took a step behind as I saw its huge body run far out over the waves, covered in thick metal so dark it seemed to vanish into the night. It came closer as its hatch opened. The sound of footsteps behind me came louder. I realised I was out of time, so I made my way onto the ship. Then I heard a howl, low and rough, like something wild calling. Before I could turn back, the ship’s hatch had begun to close. "You’re finally here, Selena." Then it added, without pause, "Call me Ora Phantom, Puzzled that the ship was talking to me,Gunfire rattled the door, yet the ship stayed untouched. In a hurry, I said, "Set course for latitude 46.77588 North, longitude 23.56193 East." The moment I set course, we went beneath the water. The force threw me into the wall. My head hit against the ship's wall, then I fell to the floor as darkness crept across my vision. In that moment, I realised I had powers that were kept a secret from me all my life, I had an unknown enemy that hunted me, and no idea of where I was headed that grandma called home
