Chapter 4: Date to Gala

Ava woke up, got fresh up, went to the kitchen to make breakfast for her and Emily. Emily wakes up late as her work starts late and mostly she does work from home. But today Emily also woke up early and came to the kitchen. Ava was surprised to see Emily this early that too in the kitchen, so Ava asked Emily laughingly, Are you alright? Or did the sunrise in the west today? Emily replied ohhhh don't make fun of me b***h I just got the amazing smell of your delicious pancakes, so I got up and also wanted to tell you get laid with that hot bachelor boss of yours. Ava froze for a second and then replied Emily I guess your brain-to-mouth filter is on vacation, and you idiotic girl thinks only about s*x. And to that Emily laughed and they both had breakfast with more laughter.

After her breakfast with Emily Ava went to get dressed as Emily said she will clean the kitchen. Ava wore a blue dress suit, put her hair in a clean ponytail, put on minimal make-up, with a powder pink lipstick which made her lips pouty, and wore a black pencil heels. As she came out of her room Emily whistled at her which made Ava blush, Emily said girl you took my words seriously are you trying to seduce your boss by being sexy yet classy. Ava laughed and said Emily seriously I can't handle I will leave for now, meet you in the evening.

Ava hailed a cab and left for the office. When she reached the office Ava paid the cab driver and went to a cafe opposite the office and ordered herself a hazelnut cappuccino with double shot espresso with frosting. After receiving her coffee, she paid and left.

Ava reached the office and greeted the receptionist and talked with her for a few minutes and then left. After reaching office she started with her work, later her team members came to her office and informed her about progress, Ava was satisfied with their work and told them to keep up their work, and told her team once the gala is finished she will treat them all of them were happy hearing and they went to continue their work.

All this went on for a week, and there were only a few days left for the gala. Ava went to meet Ethan to inform him about the progress on Gala. She was dressed in white crisp shirt, a pair of black dress pants, and a matching pair of heels. She had her hair in a high ponytail. She knocked on Ethan's office, and waited for a response. Ethan asked to come, she greeted Ethan without seeing who it was Ethan greeted her without looking up, still working. Ava said Sir I wanted to show you about the progress on Gala and wanted to know if there are any changes that need to be made. Once he heard it's about Gala, he knew who it was and closed his laptop and started listening to her and looking at her. Ava was explaining to him about Gala, she was asking whom all to send the invitations but Ethan was just looking at her and suddenly asked if she would be his date for Gala. Ava was so shocked, so she asked what he said once again at that moment Ethan realised what he said and how much he is screwed up, but without loosing his calm he asked the same this "Will you be my date for Gala?" , Ava recovered from shock and said "Yes sir" and then she stood up, left his office abruptly.

Outside his office Ava was so confused, shocked and a little bit happy that he asked her to be his date. Now she was nervous thinking what staff will think and all. She went to her office thinking what will happen if she goes to Gala with her boss, she didn't notice entering her office, Rachel was waiting for her Rachel saw Ava and called her, Ava was taken by surprise, she saw Rachel and asked her what she needed. Rachel told her she needed to discuss a few things. After discussion Rachel left and Ava continued with her work.

Ethan was thinking why did he ask Ava to be a date, it's Alex or Victor's job to search for a date for him for any function. But Ethan was somewhat happy he asked Ava to be his date. Then Ethan remembered he forgot to tell her to invite his mother's best Cecilia Markova her husband Alexander Markova even though he hated them he couldn't ignore them as Ethan's Mother Catherine loved Cecilia dearly. So he called Alex and informed him to tell Ava to invite Markova family to the Gala, and also tell her to send the invitation to home not to their office, and Ethan told Alex to go. But Rachel tells Alex is also a handsome man and Sophia tells daydreamingly no, no Victor is a good looking, handsome and sexy man. Everyone laughs Ava says "Ok girls, leave the men topic and hop on to your work girls." They all laugh and Rachel, Sophia leaves Ava's office.
