LIBERTY’S P.O.V
We sat in silence. It wasn’t the awkward type, it was the kind that made you anticipate what was to come. We sat there comfortable, wrapped up in big, fluffy blankets. I could feel Jeremy’s gaze on me. I didn’t look back, pretended that I didn’t notice his stare. Because secretly I enjoyed the feeling.
The fact that he found it interesting to study my features. It was all new for me, I guess during the past years I’d spent so much time on building up the walls around my heart that I’d forgotten how it felt, to have someone be interested in me. Before Hope got sick the two of us used to be the center of attention wherever we went. Our parents were constantly told how lucky they were to have two beautiful and smart girls. Well, that was before, before misfortune hit us.
