LIBERTY’S P.O.V I kept spitting, the horrible taste wouldn’t go away. On some level, I guess the distraction from what Jeremy revealed a few seconds ago was welcoming. On the other hand was the fact that this liquid seemed to be poisoned and it did not sit well with me. It burned and itched in my throat at the same time. On top of that, it tasted as if a rotten corpse had been peed on and then rubbed inside my mouth. It wouldn’t go away, not the taste or pain. I could vaguely hear Jeremy asking me something. But the burning seemed to intensify. I think my whole tongue was swelling up, but at this point, I wasn’t sure if it was real or if it was just the burning that played me a trick.
