Chapter eight: Fight

915 Words
LIBERTY'S P.O.V When I finally got back to my dorm, Jasmine was sitting on her bed reading, as usual. She looked up immediately like she was waiting for me. She had a confusing look on her face. “Why are you acting that way towards my brother?” she said in a cool tone.  “What do you mean?” I asked her confused while I was trying to understand her facial expression. “You know what I mean.” She stated hardly. “No, I don’t know,” I answered her slightly irritated. “Oh come on! You are being mean and arrogant toward him!” She said while her voice was raising. Now her expression was angry. She had the nerve to tell me that?  “Excuse me! It wasn’t me who tried to force myself on him! It isn’t me who keeps following him! It isn’t me who can’t take a hint and just stand away from him! That’s him. I know it has only been two days, but all that s**t happened. happened. I don’t like him and no rule says I f*****g have to!” I looked straight at her while I let my anger and frustration out. JASMINE’S P.O.V I was mad at Liberty for acting out on my brother. He didn’t deserve this. He deserved a loving mate. But no, Liberty had to be mean, arrogant and self-absorbed. I calmed myself down and said calmly but with a dangerous undertone. “You know it’s not all about you right? What did you expect Jeremy to do? You won’t talk to him! You won’t give him a single chance, all because he said one wrong thing!”  She looked hurt and mad at this point, but I didn’t care. “You know what? f**k this! I don’t care what you think. It’s been two days! And he’s already acting like I’m his f*****g possession! I don’t need this right now! So if you’re gonna keep going on about this I guess I will just have to leave!” She acted out like the drama queen she is. “You know you are wrong? You should be grateful that the moon goddess paired you two up!” I said beyond angry, simply mad, really mad. LIBERTY’S P.O.V What the f**k was she talking about? Moon goddess, paired up? What kind of sick cult was she part of? I looked into her eyes one more time then, without saying anything I stormed out of there. I could feel my eyes watering and by the time I had reached my destination I was sobbing. I knocked one time and the door opened. FRANCESCA’S P.O.V I heard sobs, and then a knock. I quickly opened the door. There in front of me stood a wrecked Liberty. I just hugged her. After what seemed like hours of just standing there I led her to my pink bed and sat down. “What happened?” I asked her softly.  She dried her cheeks with her palm and started explaining. I was kinda shocked. ‘Kinda?’ Allocine said ironically in my head. I didn’t respond. ‘I knew they were mates!’ she then exclaimed. We don’t know anything yet. ‘Sure…’ she said again with the ironic tone. I shut her out. “I don’t know what to say,” I told Libby truthfully when she was done. She looked at me with an empty look then she said coldly. “I don’t understand anything. There was also something Jasmine said after her outburst.” She had a confused look like she didn’t know what to say.  “What did she say?” I asked curiously. “You’re gonna think I’m crazy, but.” She said uncertain, now I was really curious. “She said, and I quote: You should be grateful that the moon goddess paired you two up. I know right? It’s weird. Not a normal thing to say, at all.” I could see she was uncertain of what to think. “Umm… I’m sure it’s nothing.” I tried to brush it off like somehow make her forget. Cause knowing my best friend she wasn’t just gonna let this go. I was gonna kill that Jasmine girl!  “I don’t think it’s nothing…” Libby said while searching my face for some kind of information. “Sure it is!” I said in a fake uplifting tone while I studied my One Direction poster that hung right behind Libby’s back. She thankfully let it go, for now.  We sat on my bed talking for a while. Then she yawned and lied down on my lap. I brushed my fingers through her hair until she fell asleep. I laid her head on my pillow, making sure to not wrinkle my pillowcase. Then I changed my sweater since my current one was smeared out with Libby’s mascara. Then I hurried out of the dorm room and strode angrily down the hall towards Libby’s room.
