Girl Power: Chasing Her Apollo

This story is not about your regular mate-bound werewolf but how a human girl in a werewolf pack rose from a mere human statue to a super Luna. In a pack, she was despised by those who were supposed to support and care for her.

Aries was not going to take the verdict of their pack Alpha on her family. She was ready to put herself through the knife and prove everyone wrong. Jamie thought he was helping her become a better version of herself, to him Aries was a pain and he never saw anything good to come out of her.

Jamie would be shocked to know that Aries was playing the victim all the while but why she was acting so was "the mystery behind her greatness"

||Aries|| "Pepperoni and Sushi!! Mama I want." I said stretching forth my arm to the pack counter attendant at the pack's cafeteria with my hungry eyes fixed on Mom. "Ah! Sssshh! Don't say that again." Mom replies with a rather frightening eye searching around like she had forgotten something at our wooden cubicle home. "Thank Moon goddess. None of the Alpha council members had heard you requesting such a meal, they are not for us. We are poor and miserable. We will be dead if we crave for what pack members enjoy." Mom said scratching my back like she knew I was going to sob if she didn't. Even at that my eyelid could feel the pressure of tears dropping any moment from now. "Aren't we pack members anymore?" I asked curiously. My gaze went towards my Mom's lips. It was obvious Mom had something to which she was struggling to hide. Her lips trembling. "Mom! Momma! Where are you crying?" I noticed even with all her pretense and hiding. "I am not crying." Mom said. I knew she was lying. I lifted my palm and wipe the dripping on her cheek. "Momma! You promised never to lie to me." I was more furious and needed a response. I needed to know who in this whole pack dares make my Mom feel this terrible. Clinging my fist and lifting it into the air, "Mom, tell me! who offended you? I was ready to make that individual pay. I was shocked when Mom held my palm and pulled it down till I could feel my fisted palm released. What has changed? I muttered to myself. Mom will always tell me I am the pack's greatest warrior and spar with me whenever I feel the urge to exercise my powers -not like I had any apparently - but I could feel there is much more to my being and Mom and Dad knew. They would take me for mountaineering and I would wow Mom and Dad with my inert strength. "Aries, I ---I am---am so sorry!" Mom stuttering. "What is it Mom, tell me!" I asked even angry. "Things have changed baby girl. Alpha Maroon sent us a letter last night informing us that we have exhausted our time and that the pack will no longer console our differences. Henceforth we are worthless to the Oblivion pack and regarded as trash." I didn't have to allow Mom to finish her explanation, "Why? We? Trash!" I asked. Surprised that such a word will be used to refer to a human being, talk more to us. We have given everything to this pack. How will the Alpha and his council members decide on such a cruel thing? I knew it was just a matter of time and I will be leading the pack to great battles and winning all. I had that as my utmost ambition. who had poisoned the Alpha mind and he finally lost patience with us. "You ambition of becoming the pack's greatest warrior someday is over, Aries." Mom said in a relatively low voice and boasted into loud -silent sobbing. "Mom! What about my Mate? Will I ever find him?" I asked knowing the answer already because I remembered that mere humans in the pack are never given the privilege of having their mate. I ran off into the woods. I was going towards the cliff. I was going to give myself a befitting death. I was sprinting at a relative human pace when I tripped over and fell. "Ouch!" My toe hurts. I started regretting ever being born. I have seen Jamie and Maverick running wild into the wood and never had an open wound for once. This is not the kind of life I want for myself. I know within me I can be as much stronger as I want but when I put my body to the test it sure fails me at all times. Jamie suddenly appeared from nowhere, "What the hell? How did he find me? I was going to dive off the cliff and that will be it. I had tried to be stronger but I didn't live up to it. I will take the blame for my weakness and so be it. "Aries, you of all people sprinting in the woods?" Jamie scoffed at me. I guess he is thinking of something different from what I am thinking. I stared at him like I never understood his statement. "I mean do you run wild now?" He asked. I get it. He wants to mock me as usual. "How did you get to find me here?" I asked trying to avoid his question. "You know I don't feel good any day I don't run wild into the woods. It's part of my existence. I am a werewolf you know." He gave me that laugh that explained it all. Like he was the most privileged wolf in the whole pack. I didn't remember when a pack member having his or her wolf is an achievement. It is something that everyone surely gets when they get to a mature age. Just that my family hadn't had anyone who got their wolf, the patient of the Alpha is exhausted and we have received the verdict. Jamie is the son of our Alpha Maroon, He and his friend, Madison the son of Alpha Frank from Sushi usually use to have a great time sprinting into the woods. I use to stand aloof enjoying how they expressed their wolfie ability in such a fun way. When they are done Jamie usually comes to me and asks me to join them. We would try to run but I never keep up with their pace. He looked at my feet suddenly even as I tried to hide my toe and he notice I was bleeding. "Ooh! You are hurt. Poor human!" Exclaimed Jamie. "You know what?" He asked "What?" I smirked. I was ready to accept his mocking. "Promise me you will be a fast learner and I will teach you how to be a wolf even without you shifting perhaps that could hesitate your change and someday you will be like me, rather us. I mean you will be like the rest of the pack members." I didn't want this. I had accepted our Alpha's verdict and suicide was best for me. I know so. Jamie took my hands. I watched him shift into a shinny big black wolf and his eyes were flashing like the sun. He started by leaping gradually, I followed him behind -leaping as well. We had leaped for like a hundred-meter distance when Jamie boasted into his full speed and I found myself being dragged on the soil ground. I presume two things had happened as pain enveloped my whole body. I could feel severe bruises on my knees and some part of my toenails had pulled off. I didn't want to look at the blood dripping behind as Jamie ran at his full wolf speed. It was fun for him. I know, but pain for me. It was never going to be his fault. I agreed to him teaching me how to be a Wolf. It is beyond fun for anyone to have their wolf and express themselves when the urge arises for this single reason I will take the blame for how my body is been broken at the moment. At some point, I couldn't bear the pain anymore. By the time Jamie would realize he held a mere human along with him while sprinting in his full wolf speed I was half dead. As soon so he stopped abruptly. I passed out.
