Finding Magnolia

Chapter Three

Knox.

All morning I have been replaying all the terrible things I did to Magnolia. It’s all been on replay since I got back here to the full moon pack. I care about her and last year I fell into the list of Alyson. Mags warned me about that. Goddess I’m so stupid. I place my face into my hands. She even left early because of me. I’ve been working so hard on becoming a better male. A better alpha too.

“Hey, my mom and dad want us to come over for lunch.” Walker yells to me through the door throwing me from my spiral.

“Okay I’ll be down in a second.” I yell back. I’m guessing it’s mainly because Magnolia isn’t there and Walker wasn’t here for 6 months because usually they didn’t care where we ate.

We walk over, which only takes about 5 minutes. But in those 5 minutes a go to text Magnolia 3 times. I want to make sure she’s good and enjoying her trip so far. She probably just landed not too long ago. We reach the door and Luna Grace is outside greeting us. She has always been a hugger. We all head inside and I’m hit with the most delicious scent.

“Luna Grace?”

“ Yes, dear?”

“Do you have a candle going? If so it’s the best candle I’ve ever smelled.”

She giggled “No dear.” Just then my wolf comes forward to follow the scent. But it gets the other alpha wolves on alert. Jinx runs up the stares and bursts through a door and the scent hits us even stronger, Magnolia flowers and the fresh sea breeze. It’s calming to me and I gain control back as I hear Luna Grace. “That’s what it was, I’ll have to text her.”

“Mate.” I say through gritted teeth. So no one can hear me. “Luna Grace? Where exactly is Magnolia?”

“I am not to disclose where she is. At least not as of right now.”

“Looks like I’m going on an adventure to Europe.”

“Wait why?” Walker asks.

Luna Grace pats his shoulder. “Your best friend just found his mate.”

“Who.” Oh goddess bless his soul.

“Magnolia, dear.”

The look on his face was priceless when it finally all clicked. I knew it was coming. And there it was. The anger. He came right over and punched me dead in the face. You hear both females audibly gasp.

“I deserved that. Thank you.”

“Anytime. Always free of charge.” He says with a bit of cockiness. What a douche. We both start to crack up laughing.

“Sit and eat.” Alpha Kane says to us trying to hold in a laugh of his own.

We all eat and chat. All I can think about is Magnolia. It doesn’t help all I can do is smell her. I was first up and finished.

“All I ask is you give her a few days to enjoy her trip alone.” Luna Grace says earnestly. “Even if you go and find her right away, just watch from a distance for a few days.”

“I’ll try Luna Grace but my wolf is going crazy.”

“I know dear. Let’s just take a day. Go to the lake and leave tomorrow.” She pleaded.

“Okay.” I say trying not to sound mad or disappointed.

Magnolia

My phone rings. . . It’s my mom. Mhmhm

“Hey mom, everything okay.”

“Yes, I just remembered, your wolf comes early when you’ve been around your mate.”

“But I have. . . No.” My voice goes to a soft whisper.

“He hasn’t left here for you yet. I stalled him.”

“Mom.”

“I know. But I didn’t tell him where you are either. Let him chase you dear. Let that male work for it.” She sounds amused. I can hear the smirk.

“I think I have the best idea. I’ll have to go find fake magnolia flowers.”

“I think I know where you’re going with this and I love it already!”

“I learn from the best. But I have to go. The tour is about to start. Love you.”

“Love you too.”

Just great. I just got done saying you don’t usually get shitty mates. I mean it could be worse. He could’ve been like the males in those books. After this tour I need to grab magnolia flowers. They are going to be my bread crumbs. I can hide well, especially cause he doesn’t know where I am at starting off.

“I love this idea.”

“Thanks Lumi. A little hunt may be fun. I also want to leave a little note with it. The first Magnolia my mom will give him.” I say to my wolf.

I give my mom all the details. He will get the magnolia flower and the note before he leaves for the airport.

Now to start really enjoying my trip. I grab a rose scented perfume from a little shop to hide my scent a little bit. Am I excited? Wow. I am. I run in place a little excitedly. Overly giddy, who am I? I am to become a LUNA. I stand still in shock for a brief second as the weight of reality kicks in before I make my way back to the hotel room. I go through all the pictures that I took today really taking in that I am actually living my dream. Sophia had texted me yesterday so I send her a few of the really good shots I got today. Seeing these photos reminds me how grateful I am for the life I get to live.

I wake up to the sun shinning into the room. I jump up and get ready as I’m running late. He already got the first note he texted me his first stop. No where close to where I am. Thank goddess! I need to get going! I spray the rose scent all over my room and myself and get going for my next tour. Paris has been magical so far. Today is Versailles palace and gardens!

“It’s not every day that a wolf gets a traveling partner. This is exciting!” Lumi says wagging her tail. She’s getting me even more excited!
