Chapter Four

Knox.
Sitting by the lake with Walker and Sofia in the later hours of the afternoon heading into the evening, trying my hardest not to leave early when my phone rings.
“Luna Grace?”
“Knox, I have something from Magnolia for you, stop by before you head to the pack house for the night okay?”
“I’ll be there in an hour or so.” I try not to sound so excited. What did my little mate leave me?
“See you then” and she hangs up.
“Who was that?” Walker asks. I know he’s hoping it’s not Magnolia.
“Your mom. She has something I need to pick up.”
“Oh? Want us to walk with you later?” Soph asks.
“I don’t mind.” I shrug. I’m just excited to see what it is but, I don’t share that with them.
We toss and football and grill for dinner deciding to skip out on pack dinner tonight. Walker wanted on last private dinner with his friend and mate. After this they’ll go to pack dinner for the most part.
“Knox when is your dad stepping down?” Sophia asks.
“When I turn 22.” I reply throwing back the football to Walker.
“So we all have time to enjoy ourselves.” She smiles.
“Yeah my mom and dad traveled for a while and trained before taking over.”
“How fitting.” She smiled again. She is always so happy.
“Yeah.” I get up and start to walk. “Okay well I’m heading over to see Luna Grace now I told her an hour or two and it’s been almost three.”
“We are coming too!” They yell out.
As we walk, Walker doesn’t hesitate to ask me questions.
“What is it?”
“Don’t know.”
“Who is it from?”
“My mate.” I side eye him.
“She’s still my sister and we all know her you can call her any of the million nicknames she has or you know her actual name.”
“I know that, but you have to realize she’s my mate and will always be.”
“Unless she rejects your stupid ass.” We glare at each other.
“Okay boys we are here and we don’t need to argue.” Soph pats our shoulders. We all laugh out.
“Come with me Knox.” Luna Grace peeks her head out the door.
I nod and follow her. Where she hands me a note and a Magnolia flower. “Don’t read it until you get to your room.”
“Yes Luna.” I nod
“Now go and read it.” She shooed me from the room making us both laugh.
I thank her and we all make our way back to the pack house.
“Video games?” Walker asks.
“Yeah let me put this in my room.” I lift up my hands.
I pretty much sprint to my room. How in the world did I luck out with the most beautiful she-wolf ever and also f**k it up before it even started. I close the door and plop onto the couch in the guest room.

By now, we both know who we are to each other. Therefore, I will leave you a magnolia flower, a little fact about me, and a question for you to answer when you find each one. I expect a text answer for each one you find. This being said, I need to know where you are heading to keep sending them. Happy hunting mate. Work for me, fight for me, hunt for me.
Magnolia
Game on little mate. I head down to game with Walker.
“Be careful Knox. My sister may end up being the perfect Luna for your pack but she’s a tricky one. She’ll give you a run for your money.” Walker laughs.
“Oh I think I got a sample of that. I leave tomorrow and have to follow a trail of magnolia flowers. And they won’t even hint to where she is, all the meanwhile she’ll know where I am.”
“Yup, she already gained control. Good luck.”
We both laugh and continued to play some games.
“You think she’ll accept me as her mate?”
“I think this is her strange way of accepting you. She wants to get to know you and you her, while she plays her little game.”
“I think it’s gonna be fun. I’ll keep you updated. But I’m gonna head up.”
“Night.”
I head up and force myself to sleep. I get up with a start. Getting ready to go, brewing some coffee to go because I tossed and turned all night. I ran out to the car the Luna called for me loaded it all up and started towards the airport. I text Magnolia my first stop, and I head on the plane waiting the departure. Here I come, little mate.
