Chapter 8: Dangerous Surprise
As they ate breakfast, Kazuki wondered what wonderful places they might see today. Sakura was wearing a pair of black jeans and a long-sleeved, pale-blue blouse. No uniform meant she didn’t have school, so they should have all day to go sightseeing! Maybe they would go to the mountain or to some of the famous places he’d studied, like Tokyo Tower.
“Um, Kazuki?” Sakura set her chopsticks on the edge of her empty plate. “Did you mean what you said before, about helping around the house as a way of paying for staying here?”
“Yes, of course. It would be inexcusable for a gentleman to go back on his word.” He held his hand up to his chest as he spoke.
“Good. There is some cleaning that needs to be done today, and I’d also like to fix the damage to my garden.” S
