Chapter 5: Risking Connection
After leaving the living room, Sakura had taken their wet things to the laundry room to wash. She wasn’t entirely sure how to clean his torn garments, though as she held up his pants she realized they looked more like rags than expensive clothes. She’d practically cut them in half and then some to get them off. There was no saving them. She put her uniform and wet under things in the washer then headed into the kitchen to throw his ruined garments away.
