2404 Words

I didn't want to insist for fear that he might ask me to shift into my wolf. He ran fast while I was just enjoying the cold rush of wind against my skin. He only stopped when we got past the kingdom's border. He let me walk on my own. I suddenly felt empty now that he was apart from me. I bit my lip to stop myself from begging him to hold me again. "Follow me," I told him instead. Now that I wasn't held hostage by his scent anymore, I can think more clearly.
