Zander's POV
Time seemed to stop when she wrapped her arms around me. My wolf was howling in ecstasy inside my head. I couldn't even move, let alone push her away. A loud gasp was all I could ever muster when she nuzzled her face against my chest. A strong wave of current shook every fiber of my being.
I didn't know how long we stayed that way before my arms seemed to have a mind of their own. They instinctively wrapped around her back. My head crouched down and nestled against the crook of her neck. I took a sharp intake of breath, drawing in her intoxicating scent inside my lungs.
How did we end up like this? I can't even remember what we were talking about just a while ago. But as much as I wanted this moment to last forever, it has to come to an end.
