Vittoria's POV
He had a far-away look in his eyes after telling me that he didn't want anyone to know about us being mates. Honestly, I do understand him, but I still can't help but get hurt by it.
I took a deep breath to calm myself. At least he hasn't rejected me yet. I should be content with that for now.
"I understand," I nodded at him.
I wish I could have told him the truth. From what I can see, the Luna is already in danger. I could have helped him if I had been just brave enough. We can work together against Alpha Dominic. It would be the greatest revenge for what he did to me in my past life.
I took a deep breath, gathering all the courage that I could muster. I will tell him the truth!
