NATHAN’S POV The elevator slowed to a stop and I heard that familiar ding. “Thirty-first floor,” said a disembodied voice through the telecom and I followed Alastair out of the lift, my mind still floating as I lost my balance every once in a while. I’ve never really gotten used to elevators. It always seem to give me that unusual sense where everything was just spinning and my head would often hurt for a few seconds; a sharp pang of pain torturing my temples. I shook my head, rendering myself awake as I looked up through the double doors from having stared at my reflection for too long.
