NATHAN’S POV The topmost part of the building burned down in flames and we both stood there in complete silence, the red and blue lights from the sirens atop the collection of firetrucks and ambulance dancing in our eyes. I reached for the hem of Alastair’s long sleeved shirt, my hands all of a sudden freezing despite the heat of the flames rising into the night and the suffocating warmth of those who stopped by to witness the most elegant building in the city reduce to nothing but an ashen wreck.
