Chapter 2

Aurel's POV The shameless Logan Franklin seems to have prepared everything. He had handed me the divorce papers in front of me, which he had just taken out of the bag, with an insincere expression. "Sign it." He spoke. Looking at him with a half-naked body like this was disgusting. The cheating woman crossed her legs on the mattress with a triumphant smile. I took the letter with a painful feeling that sliced my heart. Signing it was easy, and I dropped the divorce papers. A smirk appeared on my face. "Trash should be thrown away." "You are trash," Alice spoke in a low tone while watching her fingernails. She showed that she didn't care about me and looked down on me. I opened my mouth while continuing to look down at her. "Only slutty women sleep with men who have wives. You should understand that, slut Alice." I walked further into the room. "What!?" a loud scream rang out. She stood up, now her guilty eyes looking at me with such strong opposition. I precipitated all my emotions. I had to control myself well and not show that this incident had dealt me a tremendous blow. In an instant, he had made my emotions rise. Logan grabbed my hand, the disgusting feeling radiating through my body. I brushed it off, looking at him sharply. "You are indeed very different from Alice. You're uneducated!" he now shouted at me. Alice immediately clung to him, letting both her breasts show and clinging to Logan. The man who was once sweet to me and promised a life of luxury was now gently rubbing another woman's head. He can't even fulfill his promise even though my help has made him more successful. Silly me for thinking he needed time because I didn't know this was right, so I saved the family money and ended up like this. Not knowing myself. "Alice is an educated woman, she always does what I want and you're a defiant woman from the village." He insulted me. My expression became even harsher than before. How dare he insult me after I did so much for him. I collapsed all the weight inside me as I exhaled from my mouth. I won't be with him anymore, and he'll regret it. I ignored him, and after organizing my thoughts well, I headed for my closet. "uh! You're so clueless. You should just get out of here." Alice spoke as if she was the one living here from the start. "Are you going to let her, dear?" The spoiled voice was disgusting. I reached the front of my closet. Opening the drawer that I had locked tightly all this time. "Don't expect you to get even a little bit of this house," Logan spoke out loud, making my eyes light up to look at this house. It made me smile. This house won't even break fifty million dollars, but he says it's so luxurious. I put on my ring, walking past the two of them, acting like victims. "It's even like a dog kennel and perfect for you two." I left the house even as I heard the screaming voices of the two people. It was ridiculous, and now I was propping up my chin with such a flat expression. A woman with short hair was chuckling and then glaring like she had a lot of personality. "Asshole!" Angela cursed, stomping vigorously on the glass she was holding. The sound of loud music here wasn't even that interesting compared to her expression right now. She cursed repeatedly at Logan. Angela caught her breath and tugged her hair slightly, a habit she often did when stressed. "I did expect you to contact me, but not under these circumstances, Aurel." She made her current appearance a little messy as she ruffled her hair. After getting out of that house, the first person I thought of was Angela because she was my best friend and someone who could make my situation better. "What an unpredictable situation. f**k up." I spoke calmly while rolling my eyes. I should have realized long ago that he was lying to me. My love had made me act stupidly, unable to think correctly. What my family said was true, and he insulted me, feeling me beneath the woman who opened her legs in front of someone else's husband. Angela held my hand. The emotion of anger or the influence of alcohol had made her face red. "You have to get back, Aurel! Or am I there now to kill them?" I held her hand lightly. "Angela, let me do it myself." Destroying them and showing them that I'm not someone they can take for granted is my job. I would make everything minuscule and watch from above with a smile. Angela didn't seem too happy about it, she did like to do things immediately and now she folded her arms across her chest. "You have to go back." My mouth was instantly locked. I felt guilty about my family after defying them. Marrying a guy like Logan, whom they didn't think would be good for me, I chose that stupid love and ditched the Ashton name. I'm ashamed of that, and my family probably won't be able to accept me right away. That's another reason I contacted Angela. She's my brother's fiancée. "Aurel, they will accept you. They're expecting you back soon." Angela was wooing me. But still, if I returned home soon, I couldn't imagine their expressions. Just thinking about it made my heart heavy. I changed my position to be more comfortable. "I need some time, Angela." I close my eyes slowly. I want to calm down and forget what just happened to me. Being in a famous nightclub is here because of Angela's wishes. I know what she wants to do is to comfort me. Trying to stay strong is exhausting. I love Logan, the man I married who helped me almost get run over the first time we met. I saw his sincerity and decided he shouldn't know about my identity. The love I was living was sincere, and with my skills, I helped his business grow. I wanted him to be happier, but it turned out that the more successful he became, he found this woman with no surname unsuitable to be by his side. I tried to crush all those emotions by squeezing my hands tightly until my fingernails dug into my palms and stopped abruptly due to the warm touch of someone who made me open my eyes. "You shouldn't have done that." Like bullet time was happening, that heavy voice made me look into his eyes, which had been staring at me since before. It's been a long time since we met...q
