Jealous

Right after we went to class, I shared my love story with Bibek but that guy didn't show much interest. Anyway, everything was normal except that I was not having a good conversation with the girl I used to talk whole day. Maybe she was feeling awkward too. She came to talk.

"Hey. Are you avoiding me? "

" No. What are you talking about? " I was

finally able to reply without stuttering.

" Then, why are you not saying anything. You didn't talk yesterday either. Don't you like me? "

She was my girl alright. Straight to the point.

"Of course, I like you. Who should I like if not you? It's just that.."

"It's just what? "

How stubborn of a woman did I get? Not even giving me time to think properly.

" Uh.. It's that I don't want to tell about our relationship to everyone. And I thought they might know if I talked. "

Wow. What a great excuse I came up with.

Maybe Ann thought I was sick. She touched my forehead and said," Are you really alright? "

I couldn't say anything. She continued,

" Even before we always talked, so if you really want to hide our relationship for now, you should talk to me more. " She certainly had a point. I thought that I shouldn't disappoint her. So, I decided to talk to her more. But what should I talk about? That's when she said,

" We have unit tests friday. Have you prepared for it? "

I hadn't prepared anything this week but no matter what, I was someone talented at studying.

" Ah yes. Do you want me to teach you anything? "

For the first time in my life, I believed that tests existed for a good reason. But I couldn't keep believing that for long.

It was the day of test. Three classes were taking the test at the same time. So, half the students of our class were asked to move to another room. Ann stayed at our original class and I went to another class. Sam and Roman were with me though. Me and Roman sat at the first bench of one side and Sam went to another side. I was ready for the test when the invigilator asked me to move to another bench. According to him, two students of same class were not allowed to stay together. But I was still happy. Because there were girls on both my sides. What a lucky day.

I wrote whatever I knew and started talking to the girls on my sides. On my right side was a girl with about 5'5 height. She was beautiful but she seemed to look down on me for some reason. So, I focused on the girl on my left side. She was cuter than the other one. I didn't ask for her name though. As I was in her class, she introduced me to different teachers who I didn't know. She was quite talkative. She even told me her likes and dislikes. I didn't listen to them though. Maybe she told her name too.

Anyway I wasn't bored because of her. I was laughing while talking to her even after exam ended which was a big mistake. I didn't meet Ann that day but the another day I couldn't get away.

"Where did you sit yesterday? " That was the first thing Ann said.

" Between two girls. Did Sam say anything? " I replied with a smile.

" Yes. She said you were laughing with them while talking. "

" Yes. I was bored so I talked a little. Why? What's the problem? "

" You should not be all laughing like that with other girls like that when you have a girlfriend or I will feel jealous. Don't do that again. ok? "

I replied with a ok but I was quite surprised by this part of love. I wasn't allowed to talk with other girls or Ann will be jealous. Actually I kind of understand that. Even I will be jealous if she laughed at another guy's joke but I had realised something new about love.

Among the lists of things Ann would take away from me as my lover, freedom came before virginity.
