The Alpha, The Luna and The Warrior

1. The beginning of the future

They belong to different worlds even if their goddess is the same. Their species have been fighting a war with each other, they do not even remember the cause of the war or who started it. But there has been so much bloodshed and loss on each side that the peace between their species seems impossible.

The goddess herself weeps tears of sorrow to see her children fight amongst each other and shed blood. Her cries of sorrow can be heard echoing around the universe seeing her precious children shedding blood of each other, she cannot help but watch from afar. Her heart breaks in to million pieces every time she sees the wars going on between her children. As strong as she is, she is still helpless as a goddess. She cannot directly interfere between her children. The rules of the Gods prevent her from doing so. She feels so weak every time she has to stay silent and watch from above and not being able to stop the violence that her children perform against each other. She knows she must help her children somehow, otherwise they will end up killing each other into extinction. All her plans have failed in the past but this time she is going to try something different. She is going to make mating pairs from different species and hope that one of them will find the strength in their love and mating and go against the differences and hate between their species. It is a bet that she must make as a last resort.

The goddess paired multiple people from different species to increase chances of her success in ending the inter species wars. There were vampire and wolf mating, witch and vampire mating, witch and wolf mating. She also made mating of same gender and started keeping tabs on them. She wanted to leave no stone un-turned.

The task was not an easy one. Pairing from different species was unheard of before, if not taken proper precautions and handled carefully these pairs could end up dead or worse but the goddess also knew that there will be no change without some sort of sacrifice and her only hope and goal was to keep the sacrifices or collateral damage to a minimum. This story will focus on one of those pairings and their children. It was between a beta wolf and a witch. Both from powerful pack and clan. The Beta was from the most powerful pack in America and was from a long line of powerful betas in the werewolf species. He belonged to Silver Luna Pack. The pack has been around for centuries and one of the first pack ever created by the goddess. So, it is the strongest pack in America is not an overstatement. His name is Grayson Mathews. The goddess selected her mate from the equally powerful and ancient clan in the supernatural world and the witch is the first-born daughter of the master of the clan, destined to be the mistress of her clan and lead thousands of witches. She is the strongest witch in her clan being born to the royal family. Her name is Michelle Woods. The goddess has high expectations from this pair because of their strong bloodlines and their willingness to avoid bloodshed. The beta is not a hot-headed wolf but instead a patient one and the witch even though impulsive has a very sharp brain and ability to get out of the most difficult situations unharmed.

Their first meeting was the result of impulsive actions of the witch. She was looking for an herb to save her best friends’ life who was bitten by a vampire and that herb could only be found in the woods of the Jacksonville, but the problem was, these woods lie in the territory of a wolf pack and not just any wolf pack but Silver Luna Pack. Michelle could not stop the chuckle that escaped her mouth at the name of the pack. She found it strange and funny and not at all dangerous considering the fact that this pack is supposed to be the most powerful pack in America. She knew the herb will only slow the death of her friend and the actual cure is the blood of the same vampire, but she had to collect the herb to prolong her friend’s life until she finds the vampire that bit her friend. She decided to venture out in the search of said herb even after her parents’ repetitive rejection of her request. Her parents’ argument was that her life as the future leader of the clan is more important that a commoner’s life but for Michelle every life matters even of her enemy’s. So, she decided to go on this adventure alone without telling her parents using the invisibility cloak gifted to her by the goddess herself.

Meanwhile in Silver Luna Pack:

Beta Grayson has taken his position only a week ago alongside her best friend and Alpha Dominic Wolfe after turning 18. Grayson has always been the strong, silent type. Even though he is the strongest beta he hated unnecessary bloodshed and the wars going on between the children of the moon. He believes that being children of the same goddess they are practically siblings and should try to get along but alas not everyone believes in his ideology.

Since turning 18 Grayson has been dreaming about a particular girl with bright green eyes which has his wolf on the edge. His wolf has been continuously howling and whining in his head waiting for their green-eyed mate. The eyes are the only thing that he remembers after each dream, eyes that are the reason of his morning wood. He does not know how long he can go without meeting his mate in person. He fears that he might lose control of his wolf. Today is particularly insufferably as his wolf has not stopped whining all day and he is sick of the voice in his head. His wolf is not just whiny but also extremely aggressive today and has twice growled at his alpha and if Grayson was not best friends with the alpha he would have ended up in the dungeons for his insolence. Suddenly, the wolf became even more agitated and started pushing for control and if Beta Grayson is not careful the damned wolf will land him in serious troubles with the alpha. Keeping that in mind Beta Grayson decided to go for an evening run in the woods to take the edge off and burn the unnecessary energy down. The Beta was completely oblivious of how this run was completely going to change his life and set in to motion the destiny written by the goddess herself, destiny that would not only change his future but also the future of two of goddess’s creations.

The Beta shifted into his chocolate brown wolf and set out on his long run in the woods that he knows like the back of his hand. He was running at his full speed and looking for something, but the damn wolf had no idea what is it that he is looking for, and the human side was also getting restless with the antics of his wolf. The only thing that the wolf knew was that he is looking for something, like something is calling to his soul and whatever that something is he is going to find it in the woods. So, he kept sniffing and running around for hours. The human decided to let the wolf take full control and rest his own mind for a bit. Suddenly, the wolf smelt something that had his ears erect and heartbeat soaring to the sky, whatever the smell was, it was faint and foreign. He has never smelt it before. The human side deduced that someone has trespassed their pack borders and immediately wanted to alert his alpha and head warrior, but the wolf side decided to find the source of the scent on their own first because he had his doubts about who the scent belonged to and if his doubts were right, he did not want to involve his pack in the first meeting so, he convinced his human side to wait and the human agreed reluctantly. The wolf started following the scent religiously. Hiding behind the trees and bushes so as not to alert the trespasser. The moment he spotted the honor of the scent his breath got caught in his throat and his heart stopped breathing. Because those bright green eyes were the first thing he noticed about the trespasser and then came the intoxicating scent on full force. He knew then that his wolf had been right. If he had informed his alpha his first meeting with his mate would have been ruined because the girl did not smell like a wolf and neither did, she smell like a human. He knew that the creature is hiding the scent of its species. But neither the human nor the wolf cared about the species of their mate. They were just so happy to find their mate at such young age. Usually, it took years after turning 18 to find one’s mate if they were not in the same pack. He kept himself hidden in the bushes and kept observing his mate. For the first time in his life, he realized that he found true happiness. In his thoughts and admiring his mate he did not realize that his mate has felt his presence and his gaze on herself and decided to attack the wolf.

When Michelle realized someone’s presence near her and their gaze on herself, she cursed herself for removing the invisibility cloak and started hyperventilating but she coaxed herself that fear will not help her case in escaping from here harmless. She must lose whoever it is that is observing her before they decide to call for a backup and surround her. She did not want to cause bloodshed or start a war between her coven and the pack. So, concentrating on the source of the energy present near her she sent a jolt of electricity to tase the person. Poor wolf whined and released a small howl of pain which made it clear to Michelle that her spectator is indeed a wolf from Silver Luna pack. She decided to run for her safety which was probably a bad idea because every wolf loves a good chase, especially if that chase involves chasing their mate. The human side and the wolf side decided to humor their mate and gave her a head start in the chase. Both the human and wolf were extremely enjoying the chase. When the witch was about to cross the pack borders, they decided that they have had enough of the chase and lunged at their mate using every bit of strength they had and tackled their mate on the ground. They kept tumbling forward and Beta Grayson decided to shift in the middle of their fall to better protect his mate from getting hurt with his own body and to have a proper conversation with his green-eyed mate. By the time their tumbling stopped Beta Grayson was in his human form and as naked as the day he was born. But all his attention was on his precious mate whose expression was as if she has had a meeting with the death angel himself and Beta Grayson did not like that expression on his beautiful mate one bit neither did he like the stench of fear radiating off his mate. But his brain was so jumbled up due to such cross proximity with his mate that he could not form a coherent sentence or assure his mate that he is no danger to her. Seeing his human’s helpless condition, the wolf side decided to take matters in his own hand and took control of his human’s body. The first word that the wolf uttered was ‘Mate’ and smiled at his beautiful mate and the witch gasped in shock. The wolf brought his towards his mate’s face and wiped the dirt from her face and swiped some rogue hair behind her ears that decided to come out of confines of her beautiful bun. The wolf stared at his mate smiling and the witch was staring at her wolf mate’s silver eyes in a daze. She knew in that moment that she will fight with the goddess herself for this beautiful wolf.

It took them few moments to come out of the spell that the mate bond had on them and realize the awkward position they were in. The witch was lying on top of her werewolf mate who was completely naked. The wolf had his arms wrapped around the lower back of his mate and the witch had her arms on the naked chest of her werewolf mate. When they realised it, their faces turned crimson red and they had no idea where to look and the witch started coughing awkwardly. In that moment Grayson decided to take the control back from his wolf who was fully intent on marking and mating with his mate right away. Grayson asked his mate to get up and turn around so that he could find some shorts hidden around the trees in the woods. The witch did as her wolf mate asked her to do and waited for further instruction from her mate. Once Grayson was successfully dressed in shorts, he coughed to attract his mate’s attention once more. After the witch turned around, she still could not meet his eyes feeling embarrassed about their previous position and with the fact that the top half of her mate was still naked. To lessen the awkwardness Grayson decided to introduce himself.

Hi mate, my name is Grayson, and I am the Beta of Silver Luna Pack. And you are? Grayson introduced himself.

Michelle was still scared even though the wolf in front of her was her mate. She did not know how he would react if she told him that she is a witch and trespassing in their territory. She was so lost in her thoughts that she did not realize that she has not answered him or given him his name. Grayson realized that his mate might be scared and having an internal battle. So, he decided to put her mind at ease by telling her that he already knows that she is not a wolf and is trespassing on their land. He also informed her that he also knows that she is not a human either. He also told her that he does not care which species she belongs to. She is a precious gift to him from the moon goddess and he plans to cherish her and worship the very ground that she walks on.

Hearing such beautiful words from her mate gave Michelle enough confidence to look in her mate’s eyes, she wanted to see if she can trust him. When she did not find any lies or malice in his eyes, she decided to tell him the truth about who she is and what she is doing in the woods of the Silver Luna Pack. After learning that she is looking for Ephedra plant to cure her friend Grayson decided to help her as he knew where exactly the plant can be found. They decided to walk together and make a small talk to get to know each other. Soon, they reached the clearing where the Ephedra plant can be found. Grayson asked his mate not to come in the clearing and stay hidden in the tree in case another wolf tried to have a late evening run in the forest. He did not want his mate to be found by his pack during their first meeting. He went ahead and cut some leaves for his mate and returned by his side. After that he decided to walk with his mate to the border. They said their goodbyes and decided to meet tomorrow at the same time and same place. Being familiar with the woods Grayson knew all the places they can go to and have undisturbed meetings. On his way home, he was smiling till he reached home. He was extremely delighted to have found his mate and excited about his meeting tomorrow.
