I stumble into my bathroom in the morning. The toilet seat is cold enough to wake me up from a dead sleep, slamming me into the realm of consciousness. After washing up and peering out the window to confirm it’s still snowing, I try to get some service and see what the forecast has in store today. The app doesn’t want to load, so I’m not sure what’s going to happen. Having more snow isn’t the worst. The city’s ready for that. It’s if the snow turns into freezing rain that it’s going to be bad. The entire city could be blanketed in ice, and that includes all the infrastructure. Depending on how much there is of it, structures could collapse, electrical cables could snap under the weight.
