I sat there for a long time before I decided I need to let my mates know that Mary was coming to them, to protect the boys. I got up and grabbed my phone out of my bag. I unlocked it, and that’s when I saw I had five missed calls from Dax and a text message.
“Baby, we need to talk. Something has been brought to our attention and you need to call us as soon as possible,” is what the text read. My heart sank reading this. Maybe I made a mistake leaving the boys with them. With shaking hands, I hit the send button to call them.
