Eric POV:
After making sure that Damien had finally left the pack hospital, I worked up the nerve to stop by her room. Despite what I had said to Damien, I know that she doesn’t belong to me. I knew from the very beginning that I didn’t deserve her, and if there was any doubt back then, it’s definitely gone now.
I could tell that Damien was genuinely upset about Elliana being hurt, but that didn’t stop the uncontrollable urge that I had to deck him in the face.
I’m not blind, and anyone with eyes could see that Damien’s held a soft spot for this little female since she arrived here. I have no more claim to her heart than he does, but I also refuse to just stand by while he swoops in and takes her.
