Vacot Soss heard the knock on his door at the exact moment his hand touched the handle. He expected the guard to be on the other side, so he was surprised when he opened the portal to find the Charm standing in the hallway. “Genesee!” He quickly covered his shock with a smile. “Good afternoon! You’re looking well.”
She bobbed her head. “I’m feeling much better, thank you. Have I come at a bad time?”
“Actually, I was on my way outside. Have you had anything to eat?”
“Yes, but I’m restless. I don’t want to spend the day cooped up inside, so I thought I’d come by and see if we could chat.”
