The Secret She Never Knew

Hank's POV

We arrive at the small quickly made plane strip for this crazy Dr that Ron has called for his daughter.  I do not understand what he thinks this woman will tell him that none of the other Drs have.  After setting and waiting for 15 mins a plane lands with the very pale red head that steps out. She jumps into the SUV very quickly wanting to know where Ron is I tell her he will met her at the hospital before we leave I mind link the men and tell them to start unloading the plane and bring everything to the fourth floor.  Sitting in the car I cannot help but realize that this woman looks so pale that she seems to be dead.  Did our Alpha just invite a vampire to our territory. Is helping his daughter really that important to him? 

While sitting and starring at her I notice she is looking out the window and she quickly starts pulling clothes from her bag.  I tell her that if she can wait, she will have time to change at the hospital.  Instead she keeps pulling out clothes and layering them over what she has on after what seems like 5 layers of clothes we pull up to the hospital. She throws open the car door she sprints to the hospital doors and through them.  I jump out of the SUV after her with a look of complete shock on my face. I do not know what is wrong with is crazy woman.  I ran through the doors only to be stopped abruptly by her wanting to know the room number.  I tell her that I can take her to the room and she just shakes her head like a billy goat, I reply fine room 436.  She looks to the wall and takes off towards the stairs I send two men to follow her but they mind link be back saying the stair well has no light and I let out a low growl telling them to follow her.  I mind link Ron saying she is on her way up but before I can tell him that she is in the stair well he says see you at the elevators and cuts me off, so to the elevators I go.  Only when the doors and he only see me he is pissed.  He instantly wants to know why I lied to him telling him she is here when clearly, she is nowhere to be seen and when I go to reply we here Sara’s room door opens with something red darting in.  We all sprint down the hall to see there are no lights on in Sara’s room and when we throw open the doors, we all get yelled at to leave.  After stepping into the hallway Ron asks me where in the hell this Dr is and all I have to say is she was in the stair well I am guessing she is now in there huffing in annoyance. Slowly the door opens, and we hear only Ron can enter.  He goes to enter the room I grab his collar and say you really are not going in there alone are you.  You know nothing of this woman what if she was sent to kill you by one of the other packs that want to take you out.  You cannot be that naive that you would just let anyone tell you what to do.  He yells back telling I just do not understand what it is like to be a parent and just to shut the hell up.  That once I am a father then and only then can I give him advice.  I tell him he needs to think everything through before doing something rash.  Again, he yells in his Alpha voice this time to just shut up.  If he needs anything, he will let me know.  After about 20 mins Ron comes back and says that the lights are the problem and that she just needs to finish her exam and wants her equipment. So where is the equipment Hank I told the Alpha that I had the men bring it here, but I did not know where you wanted it.  Alpha Ron says thinks buddy you always know what I need even before I ask that is why you are my Beta and best friend.  I said I know that is why you keep me even though I drive you crazy all the time.  I just hope that vampire does not hurt our little Luna.  Ron says do not ever call her that do you understand did you not smell her she is completely human she must never know what we are do you understand.  With her being here we need to implement a temporary no shift order. 

I said, “What you cannot be serious no shifting.  You realize we are werewolves it is what we do, and the full moon is coming what are you going to do about that.”

Ron replies, “She is my daughter, and we will do whatever it takes to fix whatever problem she has.  Now do your damn job Hank and handle it. The Dr must never know that Sara is my daughter either so that means Sara must always be called the little wolf until after the Dr leaves.  I also want you to schedule a pack meeting during the day, so we won’t have to worry about her coming.”

I replied, “yes Alpha I will do everything that you want and need.  The meeting will be arranged for tomorrow at noon at the height of the sun.  So, there will be no chance at all of her showing up.  I know you do not believe that she is a vampire, but I am telling you Alpha something is off about her.  I will find it all out in the end no matter what it takes I will protect this pack.”
