The Secret She Never Knew

Ron's POV

I set next to my daughter watching afraid that she will die what will I do without her, my little angel my little Sara.  I called this woman after having no options left my old friend Max told me that if this woman could not fix my little angel then no could.  Max told me that she is the one that helped with his Beta Rex after the dragon set him on fire.  I just needed to be really carful with this woman she was a little strange and would take some getting use to.  I just needed to give her whatever she wanted and be prepared to use my night vision without turning.  That is what Max told me saying that to handle her with kid gloves and that she knew nothing of our world that she was only human.  For me to be sure that it stays that way and make sure everyone in the pack knows to leave her alone and let her do what she needs.  I made the call to her and she said she would come but had some stipulations that she wanted first.  She gave me her list of demands but never once did she say money which for a human that was strangle all they ever want is money.  What she did ask for was privacy and darkness which is strange humans do not usually do well with the dark.  She also wanted to use all her own tools, which I did not understand either, what is wrong with what I have. I have tried to make sure that hospital has the latest in equipment but if she can help my angel, she can have whatever she wants.  I tell her yes and then she tells me she will be bring a private plane and will need a place to land it ok I guess I will find a way.  Then she says it will take her about two days to get here which seems like forever, but I understand so I agree.

(Flash Forward Two Days)

Sara’s breathing starts to slow, she has not eaten anything in two days keeping her in her wolf form is proving to be hard, so we are having to give her something to help.  This Dr I called was a Vet, so Sara had to be in her wolf form when this Dr arrived, I knew it was becoming hard for her, so I told our Dr to help her.  When she passed out I freaked out and called this Dr telling her what was going on she asked if there was someone who could give Sara and IV so I gave the phone to our Dr Allen he talked on the phone telling her he did not agree with what she wanted.  I of course lost it growling at him telling Allen to do whatever she says if it will help my baby be ok. This is not some pissing contest here it is my daughter’s life he can just get over his ego.  Allen hands back the phone and she tell me she will be here soon and will help my Sara.  About 20 mins later my Beta Hank informs me her plane has landed I tell him ok to let me know the second there are at the hospital.  After another 20 mins but seems much long more like hours he mind-links me telling me they are downstairs I say fine met you at the elevator.  It sounded like he might be saying something else, but I just could not listen to him complain anymore today I am just at my wits end.  I am barley hanging on by a thread here.  I am standing in front of the elevator doors and when they open all I see is Hank instantly I start yelling wanting to know where this Dr is as he is trying to explain I hear the door to Sara’s room open then close followed by all the lights going out.  I instantly become anger maybe Hank is right maybe this as all just be a ploy to throw me off my game so someone can take me down.  What this monster does not realize is that I am the scariest thing they could have possibly met.  Running to her door throwing it open I am greeted by someone lurking in the shadows yelling get out.  I slowly back unsure of what is happening.  I hear someone run and hide in the bathroom.  After I close the door and am standing in the hallway, I hear whoever this is slowly exist coming to the door telling me I can enter but only I can enter?  I turn to go in and my Beta tries to stop me telling me to think this through that it could be a trap but from whoever is in that room I do not feel anything more then fear they are wreaking of it.  Whoever it is, is scared out of their minds they are more scared of me then I could ever be of them.  After yelling at Hank and telling him that I can handle myself I enter the room to see someone standing next to my daughter.  This woman looks at me dead in the eyes and apologizes for the darkness saying the light hurts her.  I stand here silent for a moment to see if I hear a heartbeat, but I do and I can smell that it is really only a weak human.  I tell her that I understand I was informed of all her corks before I called her, so I was prepared just not prepared enough.  She tells me to give her a little bit longer to finish her first exam and she will speak with me then.  I step back into the hall tell Hank what I need him to do how we need to make sure that no one shifts in town that we needed a pack meeting but to make sure it was held at a time that would make the sun at it’s highest he agreed and started making the arrangements.  Then the door slowly opens again asking for me to join her once more I go only to have her tell me she needs more information on Sara I understand each Dr has wanted to run all their own sets of tests anyway.  She then asks where she will be set up, I tell her across the hall would be her lab and the office next to the room would also be for her to work in.  She tells me she would need at least two days to work through everything and she went straight to work.

Asking me to go find something to do that she would send for me when ready but before I leave, she asks if the hall lights can also be shut off telling me she would explain everything soon enough.  That the little wolf was more important then some greeting.  I walk back to the hall telling the men to turn the lights down in this hall.  I then turn to Hank saying we need to talk more away from prying ears.  He agrees and fallows me down the hall.  I tell him I want two men on this floor watching what is happening.  That I want to know every move this woman makes, and he agrees to everything I am saying without one interjection or argument which for him is very strange he must really not like this human.  He usually always has some remark to make about me being paranoid or over barring but not today.

After another two days she asks for me to come back to meet with her.  Then she will give me the results of everything, but she wants to meet me by the waterfall outside at 11pm.  I of course agree because I want to know what she has decided.  A couple hours later though my Beta runs into my office saying the Dr is missing and no one knows where she went.  Here I am feaking out that she is wondering around my territory hunting for God knows what.  I run back to the hospital searching for her sent when I find it, I end up in the cafeteria where she is trying to get food but only finding trouble instead.  I walk up behind her looking at the workers when they see me, they give her want she wants saying nothing else to her.  She turns around right into me screaming out in fright.  Covering my ears from the pitch of her scream I slowly look down and those beautiful eyes seeing them tear up I insistently apologize.  After realizing I mean no harm, I ask her to set down.  She tells me that she just got hungry the two men watching her just seemed annoyed by their job. So, she just let them be so no one who get mad.  She did not realize that she was not allowed to eat without an escort.  Which now I feel like an ass by the way, but I just cannot have her running around seeing thing she should not see.  I tell her that I was just worried because she had not been given the tour on arrive, so I did not want her getting lost that was all.  She tells me that she has plan for my daughter but needs a little more information about the wolf pack she is from.  I agree telling her I want to help anyway I can just let me know.  She says all she wants to do right now is eat she says it feels like days since she has had a good warm meal.  I tell her I understand and let her finish her meal in peace after making me promise that after the meal she will go back to her office.  As I am walking out realize this is the first time, I have actually seen her.  She is much more beautiful then I though or then what Hank had told me.  I stand there starring for a minute before I realize that people are starting to stair.  I turn on my heels heading to find the guards to find out their problem.
