Liam’s POV

I storm back to Sara’s room where everyone is so focused on her they did not even know my little angel was gone.  I looked at Ron and growled, “where did she go?” 

He said, “where did who go?” 

I looked at him with hatred in my eyes and said, “the doctor where is the doctor?”

He turned around and said, “right there and points at nothing.  No wait she was right there when did she leave?” 

I walk over and slap him saying, “she is gone you i***t.  You did not even notice that she left but that did not stop your man from attacking me on my way out to stop her.”

He said, “what do you mean my man attacked you?  Which one of my men attacked you?  Why would someone attack you, and what did you do to make the doctor leave?”

I looked at him and gritted my teeth saying, “that man there attacked me why I do not know and as for her leaving I tried to stop her but did not get to her in time.  Her plane left before I could stop her.”

Aaron stepped forward saying, “I am the one who attacked you and I would do it again.  The doc needed to leave you scared her.  She needed to get away and clear her head to fully understand what was happening to her.  I will always protect the queen she is the most important thing.  I would live and die to see her safe.  I failed her once and will never do it again.”

I stocked over to him saying, “what do you mean you will never hurt her again, what did you do to my angel.”  I grab his throat and picked him up off the ground as he gasp for air trying to get free.”

Ron yells, “drop him he is mine you do not get to kill him until we know what is going on.”

I turn to Ron with disgust and say, “I do not take orders from someone as pitiful as you.”

Then I hear my mother say enough Liam we need to know the truth let him go.  I drop the pup while he gasps for air, I wait for him to tell me what he knows of my angel.

Aaron looks at all of us and then he starts his tale by saying, “before we came to get you to tell you about Sara, I saw my queen stick a needle into Sara.  At the time I did not know she was waking the little one.  As soon as I found out what she was doing I apologized for my mistake, but it was too late the damage was done.  I left as she instructed and did exactly what she wanted.  Then I see her sneak out and Liam go after her.  I know how scared she was when we got back here.  When Sam laid her on the couch, she was scared of our touch her legs where weak when she stood up, but she pushed through it and brought Sara back to us.  The least I could do was give her the chance she wanted to get away from everyone she was scared of.  I have to protect the queen no matter what that is now my purpose in life to always serve the queen from all harm no matter who it maybe even at the cost of my own life.”

Liam roared, “what did you do to her, did you touch my queen.”

Aaron answered, “never I only said that she would use the skills to harm someone.  With the look she gave me I could tell I said something that caused her physical pain.  Unlike you Liam I would never hurt someone like that, I am not a monster that thinks people are objects to do with as you please.  The little queen is far too sweet for that, her smile alone will light up the darkest room, even if it has to be dark for her.  Her laughter was the sweetest sound I have ever heard, Sam could away get these little giggles out of her that were so sweet.  Helping her learn things she like was always so much fun.  Her skill with Sara was like nothing I had ever seen; she could do anything.  The passion she had for what she does is like nothing I have ever seen.”

Liam said, “she is my mate not your I will never let you around her when I get her back you are too close to her.”

Aaron laugh, “that is what you do not understand I admire her I do not love her I want to keep her safe, but never want to change or cage who she is that is why she will never stay with you.  You want to put her on a shelf so no one can get near, but she would never allow that.  She is a helper, someone who cares about others and she would never give that up for anyone.”

Then Liam’s dad steps up and says something that no one was expecting, “you see this is why she must die she will do this to everyone she will put wedges between everyone.  If this person really is the queen, she needs to be stopped there was a reason the first queen left to begin with.  Your attraction to her is based on her emotions she is drawing you all into her.  That is not the original queen I am guess that is her daughter she had with that human that was her pet.  Then she most likely crawled into her hole and died that would be right along with something that slut would do.”

I looked at my father seeing a hatred in his eyes that I have never seen before.  Then he says something that sends my wolf over the edge.  He says that “no son of his would be mated to a w***e like that he then turns to me and said you will reject this mate now or lose you Alpha title.”

My wolf pushes all the way forward and attacks my father clawing and biting like the beast that he is.  He goes after the blood of my father the wolf does not stop if I do not take control, he is going to kill him I started fighting my wolf.  Fighting with my wolf allows my father to get away to safety.  After I take back control, I see the damage I have caused I turn to Ron and say, “I want all the information you have on my mate now or you will be the next one bleeding.  I am done playing with you all she will be mine and you all will help me get her back.  Now someone clean him up he has some explaining to do.”

Ron looks at Liam and says, “please follow me to my office I will give you everything you need.  Please no more violence in front of my daughter.  She needs her rest; I have a whole file on her back at my office if you would just follow me everything I have even her banking numbers and phones are yours.  But you need to know that all the phones are burner phones so that they cannot be traced.  Her bank accounts are all over seas and you cannot trace any of the money I have tried you might want to look in her office right there she may have left something since she left in a hurry.”

I says, “I will go to her office first then I will meet you in your office, Alex follow him to make sure he hides nothing do you understand me.”

Alex replies, “yes alpha whatever you want.”

I walk into her office only to be met by her lingering scent it hits me like a wave that wraps around me.  I wish it were her arms that were wrapping around me I need her back my wolf cannot take being away from her.  I am going to have to have that Aaron close to me so I can find out as much about her as I can.  I have never had a need to have someone this close to me as I do for her.  As a matter of fact, I have never wanted anyone close to me.  I have always been better on my own.  No other woman that has touched me has very had this effect on me and she has not even touched me.  After she touches me how much pull will she have over me, what sway will she have of my thoughts and my decisions.  Should I try to find the woman that has the much power over me, should I give that much power to anyone.  Looking through her desk I see stacks and stacks of papers.  As I slowly walk over to the desk and look through the papers, I do not see much more than medical crap that I do not understand.  Looking at the paperwork my little angel must be very smart to understand all of this.  Will setting around a house be enough for her was that Aaron right am I going to have to let her leave me to go follow her passions can I even do that.  Will my wolf allow others to touch her and be near her for healing touch?  As an Alpha can I keep that from my pack or others?  Her healing touch could save hundreds of lives and bring families peace.

I hear someone clear their throat I look to the door and see that Aaron.   He stands there with his hands up in surrender.  I scruff and say, “what do you want.”

He looks at me and say, “Alpha Ron sent me saying I was to help with whatever you need.  I think he is mad because I pledge myself to the little queen.”

Liam stood there glaring at Aaron then says, “I wanted to talk to you anyways, there are some questions I have about my angel.  Yes, your Alpha cannot kick you out, but you have lost your standing going against him.”

Aaron shock is head know that is right, knowing that his actions show that he has changed sides and now he needed to find a new alliance to keep himself alive.  So, Aaron decides to start cozying up to Liam.

I looked at Aaron and decided to just ripe off the bandage as they say, “so you said you done things with my angel to see what she likes, why would she need to know what she likes?”

Aaron replied, “you really do not know anything about her do you.  She lived in an orphanage until she was put into some foster home were, she was beaten and used as a slave.  Finally, some caseworker took pity on her and she got into a boarding school that she could attend at night.  She is really smart by the way she graduated like four years early took night classes for college and graduated that early as well.  Her XP it only got worse as she got older, so the mistreatment and abuse never really stopped.  She studied all day, took classes in the even in a basement rooms and over nights she had a full-time job taking care of elderly people.  She has never had a friend in her life the first nice person was the werewolf teacher that she had and if I were to guess he felt her aura and thought she was something powerful, too.  So, he helped her out by getting her first vet job, but it was only to have her help his sister, come to find out.  She told us one time that everyone in her entire life has either used her or hurt her.  That is why she made her own little sanctuary, where no one can find her.  She always talked about how she felt at peace there.  How it was so secretive that no one would ever find it.  Sam asked her if it was private enough to walk outside naked and she would always tell him that you could feel the breeze run between her thigh.  Then Sam and I would make funny faces and icky noises.  She would then, give us that little giggle that would make the world melt away.  It was so sweet and so innocent I understand why you call her angel it fits.  So, Sam and I though we would take her to the movies and treat.  Knowing she could not go outside we decided to give her one here, her own little movie theater.  There was only one problem she had never had junk food, she told us the only thing she has ever eaten has been plain vegetables and meat.  So, Sam took that as she needed everything in one night, but even the portions she ate were what you would feed a small child.  The mistreatment she endured runs deep you should know that is going to be something that you are going to have to address but also not scare her either.  She needs help not more harm, I understand the mate bond I know that it is driving you crazy not being with her.  I also know that when you get her you are going to be very possessive, but you must remember that is very vulnerable you are going to have to be delicate with her.  We literally had to help her see who she was, and what she liked because she had no idea.”

Liam stood there silent for a moment then decided to say, “you really do care for her in a way that I do not, but I would like you to come on this journey with me to find her and your brother.   I am certain that is where you brother is.  He rode with her to make sure she got away safely, so that I or my father would not hurt her.”

Aaron said I have a question for you, “why does you dad hate the queen so much, I have heard what she did to your family but that does not  explain his disdain for the queen.”

I responded, “if memory serves me that was before my mom and if I remember the story right my dad was broken when my mom found him.  See my father tried to reject my mother but, my mother would not allow that.  She told my father to pull himself together and act like the alpha she had grown up knowing.  My mother saved my father from the path the queen but him on and he does not want me to follow in his footsteps.  He does not want me to lose myself like he lost himself for someone who never felt the same way has he did.  The difference is I knew before I met her.  It was her smell I just cannot get enough of it I hate you being in this room because you are taking her smell out of it.”

Aaron looked at me and said, “you really are her mate, aren’t you?  This has to be killing you not knowing where she is.”

Liam replied, “yes I just have to find her and make sure she fells that same way about me.”

Aaron says, “you understand that she may not even know what it means or understand what the feels are?  You know humans do not feel it the same way that we do the bond is different in wolves then humans.”

Liam replied, “I know my beta has a human mate and I scare her to death on a daily basics.  She tells me that I need a soft woman to help my rough edges.  I growl at her on a regular basics and she tells me all the time that I am the reason she will not have kids with Alex.  She is scared I will put Alex in some danger, he will end up dead and she will be a single mom in a world she does not belong in.  Then, she will be treated the way all of the other mate less humans are treated.  With no kids she could leave if she wanted and no one would stop her, but with pups we would make here stay.  What she does not know is that she would never leave the pack with or without my beta again I am very possessive of my things.  She is my beta’s so by proxy she is mine and no one would ever hurt her.  If they did, I would be the one who would hurt them.”

Aaron says, “I do not see anything here, let’s go see what the Alpha has and see if he can point us in a new direction.  I do have a question though do you mind if I continue helping you staying here will not end well for me, I have a feeling.”

Liam replied, “it will not Ron will sent you to do everything that is too dangerous for anyone he cares about to go on you and your brother now have a target on your back, it is only a matter of time before you die.  If you want to come with me, I am more than happy to let you as long as you keep telling me stories about my angel.”
