The Secret She Never Knew

Ron's Office

I walk into my office trying to decide what would be best to give Liam everything or just give him the basics and worry about him coming back.  As I am standing there, I hear Alex behind me say, “just give me everything.  You know if he finds out you are hiding things from him; he will kill you.  I have never seen him this mad before, if you care for your pack, your daughter, or anything else you will give me everything so he will go.  If he finds out, you are hiding things he will end you forever and no one will be able to stop him.”

I say, “If do, how do I tell my sister and everyone else where he has gone.  How do I tell his father that he is doing the one thing his father does not want him to do?  His father is almost as scary as Liam.”

Alex says, “you should fear Liam more, his father is not half the wolf Liam is and when Liam is on somethings trail, he does not stop until he gets it.  That is why everyone calls him when someone or something goes missing.  He can smell anything from hundreds of miles away and can since things that no one else can.

He storms into my office looking like he is ready to kill.  I ask, “did you find anything in her office.”

He says “no.  What do you have?  Alex have you been watching him; did he do anything I should be aware of?”

“No Alpha he has everything ready for you,” Alex replies.  He was just letting me know he has done a little extra investigating and was getting ready to tell me what he found.  You see he had a human do some research for him.  Alex turned to Liam and said that will save you a little work since you hate the humans so much. 

Liam frowned at me and said something that shocked me to the core he said, “thank you that is a big help you have saved me some work.”

Alex and I stood in front of Liam both not knowing what to say next we were kind of in a state of shock.  Finally, Alex chimes in saying, “are you ok alpha you seem kind of off.  Do you need to stop by the Dr before we leave?”

Liam looks at both of us annoyed saying, “no I just want my Dr back that alone will make me feel better.  Her safety and happiness is all I really want.  I want her to back to take back to my pack to become my Luna.”

Aaron chimed in, “we talked about this you cannot force her into doing anything that she does not want to do she has to chose you.  She has to want you and want to be your Luna.  You cannot force her we talked about how you are going to let her choose what she wants no matter what we are both going to accept what she decided for both of us remember.”

Liam frowned at Aaron saying, “yes I remember I am just choosing to be optimistic I would rather stay positive, and hope my little angel wants me.  Is that alright with you dummy.”

Aaron said, “hey, hey do not be a hater.  You sometimes just have to be reminded of the truth sometimes.”    

Liam let out a loud growl and said, “if you do not stop, I will change my mind and leave you to die.  I will deal with the consequences later” letting out another growl.

 Alex said, “alpha what is happening what are you talking about?  What do you mean consequences?”

Liam looked at Alex and me and said, “Aaron is going with us to where again Ron?”

I replied, “she has a little mom and papa shop in Maine with a little apartment above it.  I never got to send anyone there because she came here before I could.  That is all I have and yes you can take Aaron with you it would be the best decision for now.”

Alex looked at everyone with bewilderment, “what is going on here what I have missed?”

Liam looked at Alex and said, “we are headed to Maine old friend and the annoying pup is coming to plead his case to his queen.  I on the other hand am not going to find a queen but I want my Luna to come home.  I need a third driver and that would be you, I trust no one else.  I want you to send everyone else home they need to go back to training and Max is to keep handling everything call with any problems.  Hopefully, we will be home in a few weeks with the future Luna and her tag along.”

Alex said, “yes Alpha I will take care of everything.  When do you want to leave?”

“We will leave ASAP just as soon as the others leave the territory, we will head out.  Maine is not going to be a short drive; we will take shifts I will be the first and the last.  The rest of the order will be up to you two.  We will not stop to sleep; when we stop for gas that will be when we eat and change drivers as well.  None stop the whole way.   The longer we are on the road the quicker we will get there. Does everyone understand? Liam says.”

Everyone separates to go to do what is expected of them.  Lima gives everyone one hour to say their goodbyes to tell who they needed, to do what they are supposed to and finally to send of his others pack members off.  Liam tells me I need to go check on my family, but he does not want me to tell anyone of anything until after they leave.  I am afraid I am going to have to agree with him, I do not want to listen to everyone as to what happened to him.  I know his niece wants to see him so that I will tell him that, but I want him gone telling anyone will just keep him here longer.  I walk over to Liam and ask, “can you at least go see Sara before you go, I will get everyone out of the room for privacy just talk to her please.  For some reason she loves you.”

Liam looks at me and nooks in understanding.  He walks away I am assuming towards the hospital to see Sara.  So, I mind-link my wife and tell her to meet me in the cafeteria I would like to have supper with her she needs to let Sara rest.  Our little girl is not going in where and I am lonely without anyone.  I have been fighting Liam and everyone else all day I just need my sounding board.  She agrees to meet me in cafeteria knowing that I had most likely having a bad day.

In the cafeteria I tell Lilly about how strange her brother is being that he thanked me and that I thought he might be dying.  Due to the fact he is never nice to anyone, and that he is willing to take Aaron with him when he does decide to go.  She tells me that it will all be ok that he will be gone before I know it.  That all he is a blow hard like anyways, to just let him blow his smoke and he will be gone.

Liam’s POV

After leaving Ron I go to see my niece because she misses her favorite uncle, lol.  I walk in the hospital and decide to take the stairs, so I do not take a chance as to running into my mother or sister.  I still have not went to see my dad since the attack.  I have come to understand that he is not awake yet and my mother does not want anyone to disturb them.  So that will be a fight for another day I am guessing pick your battles and all as they say.  As I walk up to the second, then third, and finally the fourth I step into the hall hoping to catch any lingering scent of my angel, but no the are all gone.  I open the door that has been replaced on Sara’s room to see her setting up in the bed in human form.  She smiles when she sees me squealing with happiness.  I quickly shush her saying I do not want anyone to know I am her.   She says what did you do now uncle.  I look at her shyly and say you know me better than that I am the nicest sweetest man you will ever meet.  I will always protect you no matter what sweety, but I have to go away again.  The doctor that helped you get better well she is my mate and I need to go find her.  She has run off because I scared her when I came to town.  My wolf got to excited and did somethings that I regret, now I need to make it right.  But you cannot tell anyone I need to get far away before they come looking for me, you must keep my secret, ok.  She says she will do anything to help me find that wonderful lady that saved her she wanted to tell the doc thank you.  Sara whispered I really like the way she smells to uncle, lol.

I will get her back little one she is very important to all of us.  Maybe with her you can finally have cousins like you have always wanted.  I want to see you running the territories like all the other she wolves out there.  Now I have to get going before someone sees me and your mother comes back.  You and I both know that she will kill me if I am caught in here, lol.  Just maybe she can tame your crazy uncle and I will quite hurting everyone that I know.
