The Secret She Never Knew

The First Reveal

Casey's POV 

I am standing her in front of everyone as the sun rises, I burst into flames.  Everyone is looking at me and no one cares.  I stand her looking at Liam as he rolls his eyes and says, "I thought she was special. I guess you were right Alex she really is nothing special.  Just a plain human nothing special I do not see any reason to keep her around anymore."  

Liam's father said, "I told you she was nothing and needs killed.  We need to end her before she finds her true self.  Once she does it will cost us all. She is more trouble then she is worth." 

Sam stands in front of me saying, "what a shame you could have been so much more instead you are useless.  Everyone around you dies or leaves why are you even here?" 

I just stand there crying reaching out to touch someone, but everyone pulls away slapping my hands away.  I say, "please Liam I opened my heart to you.  You promised you would never leave me I am your mate." Liam looks at me and said, "I reject you Casey Kar you are no mate of mine."

He laughs as he walks away from me. I feel this sharp pain in my chest then I fall to the ground. 

The dream ends.

I open my eyes looking around the clock says 3:30 AM I am covered in beads of sweat, I am being shaken by Liam hearing him say, "angel wake up you are having a nightmare. You were screaming and are covered in sweat what were you dreaming are you ok. Here is some water take a drink you need to hydrate sweet thing." I take the bottle in my shaking hand and take a big drink. I close my eyes, then try to take a few breaths to calm myself and find my center. I open my eyes again seeing Liam look at me with concern and worry. I look straight down at the bed to hide my eyes. He lifts my chin to look into his eyes before he says, "love what is wrong, what was that all about? Please tell me I love you and want to help anyway I can." I shake my head and start to cry he picks me up and sets me on his lap kiss my forehead and down the side of my face. Which only makes me feel worse. After I cry for about 5 minutes, I whip my nose as he whips my tears away. I say, "do you really love me or are you only after my secrets?"

He looks down at me hurt saying, "was that your dream do you fear I will leave you. We are mates no matter what you are I will always be here."

"But you reject me and tell Alex that I really am just a worthless human that will only bring you down and weaken the pack."

His eyes grow huge he wraps his arms around me saying, "never would I ever do that to you. You are my everything no matter what happened in your dream I am here with you now and that is all that matters.". He reaches down puts both hands on my face and gives me the softest, most passionate kiss that had more feeling then words could explain. I felt all the love possible that one person could give to another. I kissed him back, turning on his lap to be setting straddle of him. I take my hand and run my fingers through his hair when he lets out a low growl. His hands slide down my sides very softly one hand lands on my butt while the other lands on the back of my neck pushing me into the kiss more. I let out a soft moan, which causes him to squeeze my butt harder making my mouth open. He sticks his tongue in my mouth exploring my whole mouth trying to taste every part of me. I do not fight him for dominance I let Liam take the lead. I do not stop anything he was doing if anything I encouraged him to move forward. He finally pushes away breathing heavily, when he says why are you allowing me to do this. You know this will not change how I feel about you and it will not finalized my stay with you. That was already done when you decided to come looking for me. Then there was a knock at the door. He lets out a low grunt and says, "what?"

Sam says, "it is time for the little Dr too come get ready."

I look up at Liam with sadness all over my face to hear him say she will be out in a minute. He slowly stand pulling me to him and says, "no matter what angel I will be waiting for you to come to me after your show this morning and I will take care of you until you are healed fully. I love you no matter who or what you are angel please remember that." I walk out of the room in a cotton gown and nothing else no shoes no under or over clothes just the plain gown. I head outside with Sam and he tells me what he has planned to happen, and I nod knowing he will protect me. I stop dead in my tracks and say, "are you ashamed of me and what I am?"

He looks at me shocked then says, “you are my queen I have seen what you can do and have not left. I have not plan to leave either I am here for you and only you well maybe Kelly too.” He smiles at me and I nod to him in understanding.

I walk to the center of the area Sam has set up for me.  I watch as everyone fills out and Sam tells Liam what he should tell the warriors to do.  I slowly walked over to Sam, Liam, and the worriers and I very quietly ask, “can you worriers look at me please.” They all spin on their heels and say, “yes Luna.”

I stand shacking in front of them, when Liam puts his hand on my shoulders whispering in my ear, “just tell them what you want them to do my love they will follow whatever you say.” I nod my head laying my hand on top of his, he then squeezes my shoulder and smiles at me.

I look at the men and say, “you must hold the Alpha back me must no touch me, no one is aloud to pass the line you will form.  You must protect me from everyone.  Sam is the only one aloud to step toward me.  You must swear to never look at what is happening either.  No matter what anyone says you must stand fast, please for everyone’s sack I must finish.  I will walk toward all of you and speak when it is over.”

Liam roars, “you will follow every order that she gives and never faulter if you do, I will end you understand.”

In unison they all say, “yes Luna we will protect you from everyone.”

I smile and say, “thank you for protecting me, I will make you all breakfast after all of this is over ok.”  All you see is a sea of smiles and high fives.

I slowly walked back to were Sam wants me to be.  Everyone starts to gather while the worries stand in attention.  Everyone who passes looks at the worries then to me very concerned as what is happening.  When everyone is gather where they are supposed to be, I start to speak and say, “will everyone please look at me I do not have much time.  I am about to show you all what I am.  No one is to leave where they are at, do not come to my aide. You must let me come to you everyone needs to remember I will be fine.”

Sam yells, “get ready my queen the sun is coming up I will protect you no matter what.”

I stand there put my arms out look up at the sky and close my eyes, the smoke starts to leave my body as the sun rises.  When it is completely over the horizon my body burst into flames that are white, they are so hot.  Everyone in the crowd is screaming help her.  Liam tries to pass the worriers; Alex is freaking out screaming like a girl, the girls are all bawling uncontrollable, and the council are all white as ghosts.  Sam just stands there waiting for all the flames to be out then yells, “shut up and watch you need to look at where the ashes are.”  With all the flames dying out you hear Liam go from freaking out to enraged heading after Sam.  Before he can reach Sam runs to the ashes and says watch.  Everyone stands there waiting Liam is growing angrier by the second then a small hand pops up from the ashes then another.  Sam lays the gown down my arms my arms pull the rest of my body up until my head is popped out of the ashes, next by body is out I am setting and finally I pull my legs and feet out.  I am standing in front of everyone covered in black soot. I walk to the worriers, standing behind them I say, “let Liam pass they do as I say only letting Liam.  He comes running at me before he gets to me, he stops dead in his tracks.  He slowly reaches he hand towards me but stops I look down and see the soot.  I close my eyes and think of my whole body clean, then the soot just vanishes.  Then I say, “Liam, please.” My eyes slowly fill with water my breath catches in my throat I turn to run away, but Liam stops saying, “I love you do not go I just do not want to hurt you, please my love stay.”

I look at him lower my head in shame then something clicks, and Liam sees the change.  I step forward walk up to Liam and say, “you are scaring her again all of you are.  You should be ashamed of yourselves the little Dr has complete shutdown.    Do you have any idea how hard it is going to be to get her out?  You were her mate how could you act this way to her?  She is so innocent and only seeks acceptance from anyone, she just needs to understand that none of you really care about her.  So, I can take her away from all of you so I can save my little girl. 

Liam grabs my arm and says, “give her back, no one has done anything to her or anyone else.”

She laughs at Liam’s face, “you really have no idea how bad you scared her by turning her away, acting scared of her is not helping her either.”

Liam stepped closer to me and wraps his arm around my waist closes his eyes and rests his forehead against mine.  I tried to reach him, but something was stopping me.  I just want to wake up in his arms like earlier. Then I hear something that makes everyone turn at once.  We turn just in time to see Kelly grab is stomach and scream again. I push my way through and run to Kelly tell two worriers to carry her to her room.  I look at Sam and say, “she will not make it to the hospital.”

Sam freaks out I look at Aaron and say, “take him upstairs please,” Aaron grabs Sam and leads him upstairs.  I look at the girls and tell them what I need I run behind the worriers.  When we get to the room, I rush everyone out of the room I have the girls help me get Kelly ready.  I tell the girls they will need to be my nurses they nod their heads.  I step out the door and tell Aaron to bring Sam in to give his brother moral support.  Aaron just nods, Liam steps up and says, “can we talk after all of this please.”

I just look at him and walk away.  About 7 hours later I hand Kelly the first baby a little boy that weighs 9lbs 19 oz, and the second baby was a little girl that weighs 6lbs and 8 oz.  They are both beautiful babies that I hand to the mom and dad as soon as I wake the dad up, the dork passed out about 4 hours in.  I et him up and hand his son to him, Sam’s whole face lights up and Kelly is glowing.  I look at everyone in the room and say we will leave giving you all some privacy.  As everyone leaves the room, I feel someone wrap their arms around my waist saying, “you are just so wonderful my little angel.”

I push myself off of him look at everyone in the hallway and say, “will you all please follow me.” As they all follow me when I look back I see that we are far enough away I say, “with what happened to day I have no idea what I am I just combust into flames climb out of the ashes then I can walk in the sunlight for a few days.  I feel no pain nothing on me hurts, but if you touch me you will be burnt very badly.  I understand if you want me to go but can I at least stay to make sure Kelly and the babies are ok.  I will just need like another 6 hours or so,” Liam says, “no.” 

I say, “ok I can leave soon if you want just let me go back and make sure everyone is fine”, again I hear, “no.” 

“Fine, I will leave now, but just make sure someone checks on her.  I am worried about blood lose maybe I should leave a note for whoever you call.”

Liam says, “no you are not leaving you are staying here no one wants you to go.  You are my mate, I told you I would be waiting and I am.  Here I stand with my arms out wanting to hold you.  You need to understand that I just watched you burn to death at least that is what I thought.  Then you climb out of the ground covered in soot all I can see is the whites of your eyes and teeth.  I have never seen that before and I have no idea what I was supposed to do.  All I know is I was scared that you were gone and never coming back.” 

We look at everyone who is shacking their heads in agreement.  Everyone one says, “we want to help you understand what is wrong with you and why this is happening to you.”

I looked at everyone then replied, “I am not sure that I should stay and cause you all my problems.  I am not your problems I will just let you find someone better to be your Luna then me.”

Alex looks at me then says something that shocks everyone, “YOU ARE OUR LUNA, you need to understand that we will support you through anything that is what a pack is for.  Someone to have your back and give you advice when you do not understand something.  We all want you to stay we need your help with Liam and the hospital.  You have not even made it to the orphanage to see the children or had your outside tour of the territory.” He smiles shyly at me.

I look at him and say, “you all hurt my feelings and Liam you made me feel the worst of all.  I am not sure what to do about that,” Alex replies, “it is our jobs to make it up to you.”

Liam walks over to me reaches out to touch my face and I stand frozen waiting for the pain that I know is coming.  All he does is kisses my forehead and gently touches my face then says, “I will make this up to you no matter what.”
