The Secret She Never Knew

The First Battle

We all stand here looking at her which makes her hide again only this time behind Liam. The old man chuckles again and says, "we mean you know harm honey we would just like to talk if that is ok, she nods and slowly steps out from behind Liam. Alex stands in the corner and watches when Liam yells, "it is time for you to go."

She runs over to Alex grabs his hand and says something that shocks everyone again she says, "he needs to stay having him hear this is important to me I want him here for me."

Everyone looks at Liam and waits for his response. He walks over to Alex grabs his throat and says, "he can stay but he needs to realize the only reason he is not dead is because of her."

 Alex just stands there and takes the abuse, which angers her. She reaches up grabs Liam's hand and says, "let go or I leave."

Liam looks at her and see the seriousness in her face and does what she says. She looks at him and says, "do you realize how bad it hurts her to see someone else being hurt. Do you realize that every time she see this, she is instantly taken back to what she suffered for years. You anger will be the reason we do not stay together. Every hit is like you are hitting her, every slap is across her face, she feel every blow you give them or anyone else gives in front of her. If violence is all you know then you know nothing, and I have pity for you.”

How else would you handle someone who has wronged you and broken your trust or betrayed you.    

She giggles and says, “I would not use violence but cunning to place the betrayer in a position that would show their true colors, to let everyone see who they really are but killing them proves nothing and is a waste shaming them makes them understand their mistake.  At least that is what we do to the children she has.”

Alex looks at Casey and says, "who are you."

She smiles and says, " your scared little Dr is still here I am just what is inside of here since finding her mate my cage has been opened. I have been allowed to come out more and more. She is safe I am here to make sure of that now. I only come out when she cannot handle a situation and abuse is one of those situations. I will only let her out if you promise to behave."

Alex stepped up and said, "no one is touching you nor will they as long as you are the Luna that I can and will promise."

Liam says, "no wait why are you not joined together like we are with our wolves and what are you can we at least know your name our wolves at least have names.”

She looks at him and smiles, "oh, my love I so want to tell you, but I cannot, I must meet Casey first and as to what I am ask her to show you. She wants to show the whole pack, but she is scared you will reject her when you find out the truth. You must understand she is very fragile she is on the verge of breaking down all the time. I must give her a lot of strength to keep going I am honestly glad you are her mate the toll she is taking on me is tough I wish she would become a little stronger even for her own well-being."

Again, she smiles and says, “I am not born with a name, but I have to be named my other half.  So, Casey must give me a name.  I am not called anything because this did not happen the way it was supposed to, but that is a story for another day.”

She then turns to Alex and says, "why do you lie then, you are hurting me now. Do you not feel the angry for your Alpha in you? The hatred for me it grows with every word I say. For someone so supportive you seem to be very unsure which side of the fence to fall on. As the future Luna I see the pain in you I also see the sorrow and lose. You need to come to terms with your inner demons and decide what you really want."

Alex interrupts and says, “what do you mean there is darkness inside me, and I am not lying to anyone.  I have not lied about anything to anyone.  I have no demons to speak of either you are just trying to cause friction between the Alpha and I.”

Oh, really what are you doing on the east hall all of the time, why have you left your wife every night to sleep alone?  Who has given you that darkness inside of you, why are you always trying to keep the Alpha away from me?  What I you seen me do that makes you think I will cause the pack harm?”

Alex says, “I am staying on the east hall to be out of the way.  As far as my love life goes, I am figuring that out on my own, she says well maybe you should ask Steph what she wants not to make her decisions for her, and again I have no darkness inside me at all.   I watched the Alpha loss it when he found out about the little Dr then he figured out she was his made and he lost his mind trying to get to her.  I say her hide from her mate, and now all of a sudden, she wants to be her I believe you or her or whatever is up to something that we need to figure out.  As far as what did you do to me, you took my best friend then he mopped around for days.  So, you show up and now he is a lovesick pup that does not want to do his job anymore.  Instead he would rather spend all day in bed with you.”

“Hun that is quite funny, I can remember when you found Steph you were the worse, you stayed with her every minute of every day for a whole month.  You did not come to work the two months after you got married, and I covered for you.  I did my job, your job, and took the responsibilities of the Luna on as well.  While you were a lovesick pup for almost a year.  So, I do not understand why you are having such a hard time with the fact that I have a mate.”

The council all looked at Casey’s and said, “do you mind if we ask some questions too.”  She turns to then and nods.  They ask “if we plan to have some way for her to show everyone and can guarantee that everything will be ok would she show us who she is?  After you are joined who will we deal with?  Will you live in her like a wolf or will you take over?  And finally, if we accept you and you accept us will you stay here as our Luna or keep your medical career?”

She looked at them and said, “I cannot answer for her, but if she will I will help her through it.  As far as when we join it is not like you wolves, we will share everything I will be in her head like your wolf, but I will be able to come forward whenever I want no emotion will be needed.  I am a sperate being from her, but once she knows of me, she will be able to tap into my powers with out me coming forward as well.  We will be a team that when together will make us unstoppable.  Mostly I will just be a voice of reason in her head.  The biggest difference you all will not understand is that she is not the first head I have been in I have walked beside all of her ancestors as well.  I know our kinds whole history from the begin of our kind.  I know of her parents and one day I will tell her, but she has to have a few more trials without me first.  She needs to see how strong she really is.”

She then turns to Alex and said, “I cannot do it right now but if she choices to show herself to everyone in that moment I can show your darkness and I can tell you where it comes from.”

Alex went to say something, and Liam stepped in and says, “he will be there if she choices to do it I will make sure of it.”

Alex lowered his head and says, “yes, Alpha if that is an order.”

Liam says, “it is you will watch, support, and protect your Luna from everyone friend or foe understand.”

The council looked at her and said how do get Casey’s back can we talk to her.  She closed her eyes and stood in front of us.  She opened her eyes then looked straight at Liam and said, “she is scared you are mad at what I said and the way I behaved towards you. Then she turned to Alex and said, “she is scared you want her dead and refuses to come out until she knows she will be safe.  She wants to know you will give her a chance before you have her beaten or killed, just a secret she would rather die than be tortured.”

 Alex looks shocked and worried at the same time before he goes over to Casey and gets on his knees looks up to her taking her hand and saying, “I would never hurt someone as innocent as the Luna to see her go through so much pain for someone who could possible want to hurt her, that is more compassion than one person should have to handle.  To be honest she is making feel guilty for making her feel that way.  How can I honestly set her and not beg for her forgiveness and promise her on my life nothing will happened to her.  I will never allow to come to someone as pure and innocent as you.” Then he turns to Liam and says, “I understand why you call her angel does she make everyone feel this way?”

Out of no where comes Sam and Aaron saying, “yes that is what our little nugget does she makes it in possible for you to hate her.” Sam walks up beside Casey and kisses her forehead and bows saying, “it has been to long since I have heard from you, so I came looking for my queen.”

I look at Sam and let out a low growl he looks at me out of the corner of his eye and winks with a devilish smile.  Then my little angel looks at all of us very scared and goes to run off, but Sam grabs her arm looks up at her and says queen you need to talk to these men.  Aaron and I will stand on either side of you and Liam and Alex will also stand next to you for support you must not run.  What would you tell Izzy or Lucas would you want them to run for face their fears, we can promise no one will touch you,” he looks at everyone and says, “right no one is going to touch her.” Everyone shock their heads and agreed not to lay a hand on her. 

Liam looks at all of them and says, “no questions of what just happened and no questions of her past everyone must agree, or I will not let her answer any questions.”

The council all look at her the at the group of men surrounding her and say, “you have a nice little entourage what do you plan to do with them?   We would also like to know if you will show us what you really are, we want to meet this wonderful thing that you are.  You need not to worry about being rejected either we have decided to make an order that forbids anyone form rejecting you for what you are.  We want you to feel safe here and want to make this your home and become the Luna we have long waited for.”

She stood there shaking you could see her knees getting we she needed support.  So, I walked up behind her and placed my hand around her waist saying just be honest and tell the truth no one will get though all of us we will kill everyone for you my love.  She shakes her head and takes a deep breath before she begins.

She looks at the council and says, “I did not ask them to follow me or bow, you must understand I do not want any of this attention.  I just want to help the sick and hurt, I want to save any child that is hurt.  I am just scared to death that I will not be what you want me to be.  I am scared that I will fail all of you and not be enough for your pack.  I am scared I am to broken for the Alpha to handle.  If you really what to see what I am I can show you I am just really scared at what you will do when you find out to, I have to show everyone at once?”

Sam spun around saying, “you have never done it back to back before what will happen if you do?”

She smiles and says, “I cannot do it back to back but after the healing stops, I can do it again.  I just do not know how long that will take, it could be days or maybe a week.”

Sam nods and says, “whatever you want my queen I will do whatever you say.”

The council says excuse us but, “what do you mean? What are you going to need us to set up for you and yes you can just show a small group then the rest of the pack later we just kind of need to know, what we will be in for, and who you want to be there.”

She looks at us and says she does not want to give any deals.  We just have to promise to watch the whole thing without looking away no matter what we see.  After I show you, I will be healed to a point that I cannot be harmed so it is hard to do it again.  I would just like Sam, Aaron, Liam, Alex, Steph, Lacey (Aaron’s girlfriend), Kelly (Sam’s wife).  I would also like to get it over with quickly so could we do it at first light?”

They replied, “that does not give us much time to set up what all will you need?”

She smiles that them and says, “nothing Sam will get me what I need.  I just may need away to keep everyone away from me.  Everyone is going to want to run to my aid and you mustn’t.  I need to completely finish and then Sam will know what to do.”

Everyone will understand and keep their distance.  Sam will do what he needs to when he needs to.

Sam says, “we will need at least six worries with their backs to what is going on to keep everyone in their sets.  The chairs will need to be a least 20 feet from where she will be standing.”

Everyone looked at Sam then he says, “you do not understand but you all will understand after tomorrow trust me this will be something that none of you have ever seen before.”
