Alisha's POV;
Next morning:
I followed the maid like a lost sheep as she led me along the big corridor leading to the kitchen.
The old lady from last night had given me a substance to put in Darien's food. She told me his mind would soften towards me if he consumed the substance, though she didn't specifically tell me to put it in his food. I just concluded that if I put it in his food, it would be more effective. After taking my brush this morning, I heard a faint knock on the door. It turned out to be the maid who brought me food yesterday; she told me she was busy yesterday, which was why she didn't show up. Then I asked her to take me to the kitchen. At first, I thought she'd object to it, but to my greatest surprise, she agreed without delay.
