"Where were you last night?" My heart skipped.
"I... I..." I shuddered, running out of speech. His gaze darkened as he glared at me. His eyes filled with hate and deceit.
"You should know by now that I don't like repeating myself! Answer me before I lose my cool!" He yelled in an angry tone.
"I didn't go anywhere. I was inside sleeping. Why do you ask?" A slap followed, sending me to the floor. I tried standing on my feet, but the weight of the slap sent me back to the floor.
"You dare talk back to me? I see you've grown wings." He grabbed me by my hair, throwing me onto the bed. I hit my head on the bed stand, causing me to bleed.
