The sound of their flip-flops harmonized in a slow beat as they exited the boardwalk, advancing on the terrace, ending just short of its wooden stairs without fanfare. Lucy gestured the trio up onto the terrace deck with a wave and introduced herself. She oversaw the awkward reunion with Jayson and asked if it would be appropriate to order beer.
