CHAPTER THIRTY-TWO Tony had been moved by Malcolm’s story and was keen to meet up with Audrey to get the complete picture. He contemplated phoning but decided to go straight to her house instead. The morning rush hour clogged the main roads, so he had taken the longer but less busy route across the moor along the Old Military Road. As he drove, he could feel his Skoda being buffeted by the easterly wind; snow was starting to fall, and soon his wipers were battling blizzard conditions.
