CHAPTER THIRTY-SIX
Eden watched her husband button up his shirt. She could see a slight tremor in his fingertips.
‘It’s very cold outside. Why not take the doctor’s advice and stay a night? For observation. Just to be sure,’ she said.
‘I’m coming home.’
Eden held onto Tony’s arm as they left the hospital, determined never to let him go again. Their car was in the police pound following the accident on the bridge, so she had borrowed her father-in-law’s beaten-up Audi. By the time she had driven home to their new-build town house, it was almost eight p.m.
