Eva had been sold off by the ones she had thought were her family; her father and her beloved sister who she had given all her best to.

She was sold off to Alpha Crescent whose mate had rejected the very day he found her.

And instead of getting chattered, the Moon goddess decided to give to him the human girl who had been sold to him.

But what if Eva is more than just a human, or perhaps the moon goddess herself?

Chapter 1: Eva Eva's POV: The trees sheds it's leafs on me, into small ponds, brushing sands on it. The whole New Way Street - silent, only having sounds of my moving feet. And I swear deep down, I can hear the footsteps of an angry woman approaching me. She, a plumply looking bowlegged woman in her late fifties. Her face sculptured with heavy makeup and red lipstick. Her face shows no smile, just a bit lift of lip which is obviously her natural face. "Take this!" A bag filled with clothes was being thrown at me. I quickly caught it before it could hit my face. "Wash those and iron them too. And I will be having them tomorrow." "Yes ma'am." I turned around and dragged my body out of the compound with the bag with me. Well, working like this is better than selling my body for money. I will make sure to work hard to care for my sister. I can't lack. No, I refuse to lack money for my sister's treatment. "Hey trash girl!" I heard someone call me with the famous nickname I usually get called with. I turned around to see him. My crush. This tall looking man endowed with the beauty of a celebrity. But as I was being called trash girl by this same person I got a crush on. He wouldn't even spare a glance at me. My clothes are worn out and my hair do look unkept, of course I fit the name ‘trash girl’. "And Where are you heading to in this time of the day?" "To work." "Here." He threw a bag, and I caught it. "Wash those for me and make sure to return it tomorrow evening." "Yes sir." I quickly nod my head in agreement. I lift up my head to look at his face, but as usual, he wasn't looking at me. Not even spare a glance at me, and that saddens me a lot. "Um." He walked away leaving me with the two bags. I sighed softly before walking towards my home. Yes, I have a home. I leave with my father, I don't have a mother cause she had left me ever since I was a baby. She is dead. I have an older sister who is unfortunately very sickly. My father doesn't care about the both of us, which made I and my sister look for manual jobs just to feed ourselves. My sister just came down with an unknown illness and the doctor had told us to go get up to hundred thousand dollars to treat her. Father doesn't care as usual, but I cared so much about my sister and I will do everything for her to be well again. Reaching home, I met dad dragging himself into the compound with two bottle if beers with him. He grumbled, making a way towards me. His red eyes shows no sign of mercy and he looked like someone who had had a fight with someone before walking back to his home. "Eva, money." "But father, I don't have money." I replied. "Give me money now or you are going to regret ever having me as a father." I scoffed internally. As if I already don't regret having him as a father. "I don't have money pa." My reply came out rudely. But who could blame me? I have been working all day just to put something in my mouth and for my sister's treatment. And the last thing I want right now is to meet a nagging father asking me for money. This is America. As big as if is, he could find a job easily, but father choose not to work, lazing around like a retired man. "Yes you have. You are just lying to me. See..." He pointed to the stuffs with me. "You have got a lot of work over there, which means you must have so many cash with you as well." "I don't have money father." I snapped at him. "You stubborn brat." He slapped me hard across my face and immediately, one of the bottles with him fell hard on the floor, chattering into pieces. "Father, I don't have money!" I yelled at him. "You..." "Father!" His hand was being seized my my sister who rushed forward to save me. "Let go of my wrist right this instant Silvia! You should let me teach this bastard a lesson." "You dare not hit my sister like that." She pushed his hand away. "Sis." I quickly went to meet my sister, stopping her from troubling herself. This man might hit her like he does to me and I don't want that. "You kids are too pathetic. You can't just spare your father a dollar. Shame to you two." After saying that, he sluggishly found his way back into the house. "Are you okay?" Silvia turned to look at my face after making sure he is out of sight. "Yes I am." I nodded in agreement. "You shouldn't have allowed father to hit you like that. You should have dodged his hand at least. You are a woman for crying out loud, you need to protect your face at all cost." "What can I do? He is our father Silvia, and i couldn't just disrespect him cause he hits us." "No, you should have at least dodged his hand. Now look at your face and how swollen it is ." She brushed her hand gently across my face. "Sis, are you okay?" I asked worriedly. She wore a cardigan which covers up almost her face. She must have been really cold all day. Her face shows no color, and that bothers me deeply. "Um, I am. Just a slight cold. It would go away soon." She shrugged it off. "You should go back in and rest for the day." "No, I have to join you with your laundry. That's a lot of work I can see there." "No, I can't risk you catching a flu. I will just do this in a few minute, you know how I could be when it comes to washing clothes." "No let me help." She insisted. "Sis." I quickly stopped her. "You should focus on how to get well again. I can't risk it." "Okay dear." She stroked my hair, before going into the house. Now I am left with this. I sighed deeply. * Silvia's POV: I stormed into the house in exasperation. That man! "Father! Father!!" I called out, throwing away the figurine on the small wooden desk in the middle of our untidy room. They were several clothes on the floor and most of the furnitures were in the wrong place. Well who cares? Eva will definitely arrange everything. Edwardo, my father walked downstairs with the same bottle he had been sipping from. "Father, you are just so unbelievable!" I snapped at the man who raises up his brows in question. "That sister of yours was stubborn. I had to hit her so she could open up. If I haven't done that, she wouldn't have known her place!" I sat on the couch, placing my leg on the wooden table in the middle of the room. "You should have known she had no money with at the moment. Only when she is done with the laundries." "I just couldn't hold back myself from hitting her." The man defended and I sighed. Can't this father of mine at least take it easy? I don't want this girl knowing I am in plans with my father. "Father I told you, getting money from her is easy, but you have to do it slowly. She would do everything you want her to do only if you takes it slowly. You know she only trusts me and not you. You are just too greedy to understand." "But I have to make her fear me." "Eva can easily be deceived. You just have to leave it to me alone. And you dare not hit her for money anymore." I pointed my finger at him before turning around, towards the fridge, bringing out a beer. "See who is talking. You are more devious than I am Silvia. You are the only one who lied to your sister about your sickness, so she could fill your pocket, and you will sell her off very soon as our payment, right?" "Mine and your pocket Mr. And shush! She can't hear us." I took a sip from her beer and smirked. That pathetic and useless girl. After all her mother had left her with us. It's my time to use her. "She is so pathetic and clueless. She sure wouldn't understand a thing even if I explain to her." "She is so dumb." Edwardo laughed it off.
