Chapter 4: UNBELIEVABLE STORY Crescent POV: I stared at the sleeping girl on the floor. I couldn't believe it. She actually believed Moon wouldn't hurt her. Moon was on a rampant, I was in a greater fury, but she chooses to believe us and sleep beside us. I stared deep into her face unbelievably. Her oval face, her long looking lashes and pointed nose pointed to my face. She is beautiful, I couldn't deny that fact. But why should I think about that? I just got rejected by my mate yesterday. Shouldn't I be sulking about that, and still be pained about that? But this human girl gave me peace. That was the reason Moon went back to her. He had felt comfort in her. Even I felt comfort in her that immediately Moon went back to her, I was excited. I slept peacefully beside her, and Moon was feeling calmed that he allowed me to take over. I was relieved to see her sleeping soundly and safely. A strange human who gave an Alpha prince peace. Her lip was opened, and quickly I made a spell covering all her wounds. I wonder what brought her to this stage, in this dense forest. "Alpha!" I heard my Beta's voice through my mind link. I tilt my brows, frowning deeply at his sudden intervention. "Alpha, where are you?" I heard his voice again, and this time a growl released my Moon. He doesn't like the fact that Leo is disturbing him and trying to take him away from his comfort; this human. "What?" I returned back the mind link. "Oh thank goodness." I heard Leo make a sigh of relief. "Alpha, the queen wants you back home." "I will be back in a few minutes, Leo." I immediately blocked my mind link after speaking to him. I took a look at the sleeping girl again. She will soon be awake and I really do not want her to see me half naked. I need to get going now. I stood up on my feet to leave. I turned my head to look at her, before pushing my legs further to leave. Eva's POV: I slightly tilt my eyes open, trying to have a good clear of my surrounding. Instead, the penetrating rise of the sun almost blinded my eyes. I quickly closed my eyes, before turning around, avoiding the brightness of the sun which almost gave me an internal darkness. Turning around, I can see that I am sleeping on the grass in a forest. The grass?? I quickly sprang up. I am still in the forest. The midnight wolf. I turned around to look at my side. But disappointedly, I couldn't see the wolf beside me. It must have left while I was still sleeping. I lowered my head in sadness, as I remembered this wolf's kindness. It was my first time seeing the niceness and calmness of a wild animal. A rare wild breed. My eyes brushed a shiny piece of silver on the floor. Picking it up, I realized it was a necklace. A Crescent Moon shaped necklace. That space is where the midnight wolf had laid. Is it a gift for me? I smiled, as I thought about the probability of the midnight wolf keeping the necklace as a gift. I didn't hesitate before wearing the necklace around my neck. "It's beautiful." I muttered. Saying that, I heard a loud roar from the forest, and quicker I stood up and ran away from the forest. That isn't a howl, and I really don't want another pack of animal attacking me. Silvia's POV: "She is not back yet." I muttered, closing back the curtains, before having my seat beside my father who was busy taking a sip from his beer. "I said she hasn't come back." I said to him again, loud and clearly. This old jeez frustrates me whenever he takes sips from his beer and not bother to reply to my words. "She would, Silvia. Don't you worry. She is a good girl." Yes she is. She is a very good girl. A good girl, but I don't want my life at stake. She is my payment, and I really don't want my payment getting missing. She had left since yesterday morning, and she haven't arrived yet, and it is eleven in the morning already. I wonder if she might have had an accident. "Oh no, no, no," I snatched the beer from his grip, and began to take continuous sips, just to calm my nerves. My payment is missing and I am worried. Extremely worried. "What?!" The man roared at me. "I told you she would be okay. There's no need to panic over nothing..." "Sister?" The door banged open, revealing Eva standing behind it. I quickly stood up in shock, as I stared at my sister who looked as if she had gone to a trip of a thousand years. Her clothes looked tattered, and her face looked mashed with so many dark spots. What happened? What happened to my payment. "Eva?" I quickly rushed to her, feigning an overprotective expression. "Where have you been sister? I was so worried about you...I...." "Sister." She hugged me tightly. She really looked so pathetic and awful. Well, as far as she is okay, and unhurt, I would say I am much more relived. "I am so sorry for making you worry." I could hear her tear up, the moment she said that. I pat her back slowly, shushing her up. "Shhh.. it's okay now. As far as you are back and unhurt, I am at relief..." We both unlocked. I wiped off her tears, then feigned a smile at her, for her to be happy. "I am very relieved to see you here. Common." I took her hand. "Let's go sit." *** Now I think this girl is getting crazy at the moment. How could she expect me to believe all what she had just bluffed with her mouth. It's unbelievable. Even my father scoffed at her false story. He also found it ridiculous. How can a wolf protect her from other wolf, which are it's specie. How can I believe that? She is a human, a skin. And wolves are carnivores animals, which can eat anything. Is she bringing that up to cover her disaster? Well, if she is doing that, then she is not a good lier. "You should work more on your lies, Eva." Father said exactly what I wanted to say. I almost nod at him, when Eva spoke loudly. "I am not making up a story. What I say is true. Father, Silvia, believe me. I got saved by a wolf. A real and huge wolf. It protected me from it's other specie. It slept beside me till..." She suddenly stopped, suddenly thinking about something. I frowned and father scoffed. "Till what Eva. Tell us." Father mocked. She shook her head. "I don't know father. But I am telling the truth. It sat beside me and rested beside me. You should believe me..." "Okay, that's enough." I quickly stooped her from saying more unbelievable stuffs, by grabbing her hand. "let us go to the bathroom now. You must be tired now." I didn't want her to continue talking nonsense, so I took her into the bathroom to have a bath.
