It's a beautiful tale about compassion, sacrifice, and the true meaning of happiness. Here's a summary of the story:The story begins with a description of a statue of a prince standing high above a city. The statue is covered in gold leaf, with sapphires for eyes and a large ruby set in its sword hilt. The citizens admire the statue for its beauty and majesty. However, the statue is not truly happy because it can see the suffering and poverty in the city below. One night, a swallow flying south for the winter stops to rest at the feet of the statue. The swallow is about to fall asleep when he hears the statue's voice pleading for help. The prince asks the swallow to stay and be his messenger of compassion. The swallow agrees, and over the next several nights, he helps the prince distribute his gold and jewels to the poor and needy in the city.As the winter grows colder, the swallow becomes weaker and weaker. Despite his declining strength, he continues to carry out the prince's wishes, even plucking out his own eyes to give to the poor. Eventually, the swallow dies at the feet of the prince. When the townspeople see the dead swallow and the now dull and tarnished statue, they decide to melt down the statue and sell it. However, when they try to remove the ruby from the prince's sword hilt, they find that it won't budge. They realize that the ruby is the prince's heart, and they leave it in place as a reminder of the love and compassion that once filled the statue. The story ends with the mayor and town council discussing the need to clean up the city and help the poor, inspired by the sacrifice of the swallow and the prince."The Happy Prince" teaches us the importance of empathy, kindness, and selflessness in a world often plagued by greed and indifference. *THANKYOU*
