Daxon stared at me blankly.
“What do you mean, Roxanne?”
“Um…what if we just don’t sign the contract? Let’s just have this be a marriage.”
A smile came across his face. “I would love that Rox, but…what if something were to happen? You and I both have a pretty shitty track record when it comes to relationships. We have to protect ourselves.”
“You don’t think we’ll love each other in three years?” I asked.
“I hope we will. I hope this contract is something we will never actually need to look at again for the rest of our lives. But I think it’s a good thing to have in place.
