Chapter 9: SilkeHaving looked forward to her one-on-one dinner with Lauren, Silke was still a bit miffed when she got out of the car in front of Olive Garden, but the sight of Lauren doing the same instantly lifted her spirits. Besides, she was curious as well.
“So, who’s this guy again?” Silke asked after they’d hugged.
“Apparently he works for the company Craig was negotiating some sort of deal with. He said it’s important. I have no idea what it’s about, but he came all the way from Dallas, so I should at least hear him out.”
