Chapter 42: Silke“He’s doing better.” Practically bouncing into the waiting room, Silke grabbed a surprised Lauren and spun her around in a circle. “His troponin levels are almost back to normal and his EKG is looking good. Overall, he looks so much healthier than yesterday. Of course, they’ll be monitoring his EKG for a while still, and his enzymes, but if all goes well, he can go to a regular floor tomorrow. Isn’t it great?”
“Yes, honey, that’s wonderful news. Maybe now you can relax and we can have a real vacation together. Like, see some sights? I wouldn’t mind having you show me around some while we’re here. I mean, it’s my first trip to Europe and all.”
“How about we go downtown then? My mom said there’s a guided tour every afternoon. And we could grab some food, too.”
