When we got back, Damon was there waiting for me. I could feel he had the same sense of dread that I did. It was time for me to go home. My whole body was telling me to stay and not go. I couldn't listen to my heart or my body. I knew I had to go back home. That's where I belong. I know that I'm supposed to completely abandon my people and dedicate my life to these new people, but it is just not that simple.
