Akoshka
He knew who I was. I wasn't sure where I made the mistake but I could feel the distrust for me seeping through his pores. I wanted this man so badly, I would have to play his game.
"Blood River Pack, you guys have traveled pretty far." He said to Thomas.
"Oh, not as far as Legacy. She came from the Moon Howlers Pack." River chimed in.
"Is that so?" Zion said. I knew what he was doing. He was trying to determine if he was right about me.
"I know all the alpha's for the most part. What was your Alpha's name?" He asked me. I had no idea, "William Mallory," I lied. He nodded, staring at me with those sexy eyes.
He was impossible to read and that pissed me off. Now I understand why my mother chose him. "We need to find a safer hiding place," Thomas said.
"We should split into groups of two," Janine suggested.
He laughed as all of them blurted, "I'll take Legacy!" Dammit, he was going to catch on for sure at that rate. I had to find a way to dim his suspicion.
"Fine, I will go with River, " Janine said, grabbing River's arm. I turned to glare at Janine. Although I wanted the Alpha, I was fond of River as well.
"Cool Thomas and I can stick together," Ruby suggested.
"Well, that leaves you and Alpha and your friend, of course," I said to the Alpha. I could not wait to get them alone.
"Actually, I was planning on doing my own thing." He said to me.
"And why would anyone wish to be alone during a time like this? Besides, what's so important to get back too?" I asked him.
"I am not alone." I looked at Chandler, "and my My mate, if you must know," he looked at me, "close your mouth sweetheart." He suggested.
"I'm sorry I just assumed the Chosen was your only mate." He had started to walk and I left the others to follow behind him.
"You know what they say when you assume." The Lycan liked pushing buttons.
"So, Alpha Black, how do you imagine this situation ending?" I asked him,
"I'm sure you have an opinion. Why don't you tell me?" he said.
"Well, I don't see the Chosen anywhere on site, so I don't mean to be insensitive, but obviously she doesn't stand a chance, look at all of Akoshka's destruction." I didn't want to toot my own horn but toot toot.
"Well, I could certainly see how you would draw that conclusion." He said simply,
"And you don't agree?"
"Well I guess I'm a sucker for happy endings because I believe good will always prevail over evil." He said the man was absolutely dreamy if I did say so myself.
"You did not strike me as the type of man that believes in fairytales."
"Oh I don't!" He laughed as I narrowed my eyes at him.
"I believe in passion, drive, love and Catori, basically." He said as he walked like he had not a care in the world.
"You really believe that she can defeat Akoshka. I mean I have heard a few stories about her and are sure she seems awesome, but look around you at all Akoshka has done."
"You almost sound like a fan," The other guy piped in, and I looked at him batting my eyes. It would be nice if he did not speak at all. He would be much better at just standing and looking pretty, in my opinion.
"And do you know why she was able to do it?" The Lycan snapped,at me growling, "because the b***h was not woman enough to call my mate out, she waited until she slept to make her move. She is a weak coward and I have no respect for her." He stepped closer to me, "She is worthless. Her own mother despised her and she gave her a life. Do you know what kind of maggot you have to be that your own mother despises you?" He looked at me frowning, then scoffed and turned to walk away. My body began to shake, I was so angry. Who the hell did he think he was talking to?
I raised my hand as the earth began to shake. I saw him stop and slowly turn to look at me. I raised my hand to strike him when a blood-curdling scream pierced my ears. The frequency was so high I fell to my knees. I felt like my head was going to explode. My head was spinning. I watched as the Lycan started running away and I could do nothing because of the ringing in my ears. He was getting away as I lay in a fetal position, "No!"
I tried to stand but before I could lift my body, a wave of power came rushing at me knocking backwards. I saw darkness.
When I opened my eyes, Lucifer stood before me. He had not been seen above ground in decades and now he stood looking over me. He shook his head, "I warned you."
I lifted my body, "so the b***h has risen?"
He laughed at me, "No you i***t that was not the Chosen that bought you to your knees but her adolescent son. You just got defeated by a bunch of thumb suckers." He laughed hysterically but I found nothing funny.
"I will bleed him dry, it's time for the earth to crumble. Are you with me, Lucifer?"
He reached out his hand and we shook.
*************************************************************************************************
I stood by watching as he released the gates of hell. Lucifer was something to see and he was beautiful, so beautiful. We looked at each other and laughed because we knew this was just the beginning of what we would do together. We were making monumental moves. Selene's daughter and God's most despised angel joining forces. I leaned in and kissed him, feeling a fire erupt within me. Now it was time to find that child, with his power, I would be unstoppable. Such raw power. I could feel the energy pulsating through the atmosphere. I started stalking in the direction they went. I was so excited I could not contain my joy. I would have to give up the Lycan and all my dirty little fantasies, but I have Lucifer now, so be it. "Shall we?"
"We shall." He said, giving a wicked laugh. I followed the path left behind like bread crumbs. The child was powerful. Lucifer was right. It was best to deal with him now, because when he was to come of age he would be a force to be reckoned with. It occurred to me that if the boy was this powerful, the mother would be worse, but then, as I said before, the Chosen is a copy of me. My mother was so disappointed she was with me that she tried to replace me in the form of one of her pets. Which angered me the most. She could have had another child although it was forbidden, but no, she made a f*****g werewolf. Juiced the damn thing up with an imitation of my power and these people worshiped her, it was sickening. I mean sure I was a bit mischievous as a child, but I was bored, no need to take my planet and banish me to the darkness. For years I was alone there. My only comfort was the visits Lucifer paid me on occasion. He was the only one who saw my worth who still wanted to be close to me. Now he was mine and I was his.
And together we would be unstoppable. Oh, we had different styles in mind for ruling. I like destroying things, he likes controlling things. He wanted to turn humans into slaves for his demons. I didn't mind just toying with them and maybe using them for my s****l pleasures. Speaking of which, "Lucifer, before we go about destroying the Earth, maybe we should relax a little." I winked at him and he in return gave me a wicked smile. "As you wish."
He took me right there. All the power he had completely turned me on. He was certainly the better match for me. I could tell my appetite for him would be insatiable. I loved every minute even as his seed burned through my body like hot wax. I was definitely in lust with him. Oh, this is going to be so fun!
Zion Pov
I was sick, desperate as I ran with Elijah in one hand and Earth in the other. My heart felt like it would explode in my chest. Reality hit me like a ton of bricks. I could not protect my son's. The wind began to pick up and then we heard them. "Dad, what are those?" Elijah asked.
"f*****g hell hounds!" and there were a lot all charging in our direction.
I held Earth as Chandler carried Elijah, holding them harder. We started running even faster. My legs were burning and in reality it was fruitless. Out of nowhere, a herd of Vargis went running full speed at the hellhounds. Never had I ever been happy to see those beasts. I grabbed the boys, spotted a ditch and we crawled into a drainage pipe with them. 'River!' I called out completely out of breath.
'Yes Zion!' River responded.
'River, Legacy is the undoing." I blurted the words out,
"Whaaaat!" River sounded shocked and I had no time to explain,
"Listen to me. Elijah and Earth are here. She knows of their existence. I can not be near them.' I said desperately, never feeling so weak as I did at that moment in my life.
'Where are they?' River asked with as much urgency in his voice as there was in mine.
'River, do you remember the time we had the pack picnic? I need you to search that area. I can't just tell you she can hear me most likely.' I explained to him.
'I'm on my way!' River said, not even bothering to question me further.
'These are my son's!' I growled.
'Zion I know.' River said 'I will protect them with my life.'
"We need to go!" Chandler yelled. I cut the link and looked at my boys. They were tall. already Earth had nearly caught up with his brother. It was hard when seeing their height to remember they were still just pups. "I need you to reel your power in Earth so she can't find you that way. Listen, I have to go. I need to distract her to try to get her away from you. Goddess, why didn't you just listen?" I said in frustration, sighing heavily.
"I'm sorry daddy." Elijah said solemnly. I ran my hands through his hair. "It's okay, I lied, everything will be okay." I said, although I did not believe my own words. Worse was the look on Earth's face . I snapped a finger in front of his face and he stared onward, his face completely void of expression, s**t he was in shock. The sounds of the Vargis fighting to the death with the hellhounds was alarming in itself, flesh tearing, cries from both the hellhounds and Vargis. Death was terrifying and I wasn't sure what the boy had seen. I felt completely helpless. I have failed you, Cat and my boys. I held Earth tightly in my arms, "It's okay son," I heard myself lying once again.
"Dad, don't leave us," Elijah begged.
"Elijah I CAN'T STAY, DO YOU SEE WHAT's GOING ON OUT THERE? I WILL GET YOU KILLED," I found myself yelling at him. He began to cry and so did Earth.
"Boys, boys, listen, I am sorry! I love you and I will die protecting you. I have to go, stay here and don't move!" I ordered and abruptly left them. If I did not leave now, I would never be able to and I needed to put distance between us for protection. I wanted to stay close by to make sure River retrieved my boys. The place was overrun with Vargis and hellhounds and there was no cover. I couldn't stand there in the open with no protection as they battled it out. I started running, pausing to look back and saw River and the girl Janine carrying the boys on their backs as they ran. I froze when I saw hellhounds giving chase, but suddenly a Vargis flew down, taking the hounds in its claws, flying high and tossed them. Then it hovered over, River assuring them safe passage as they got away. A sigh of relief came over me, thank you Vanessa.
"Chandler tapped my shoulder, "We have to go to Zion."
In the realm of the heavens
I brushed my hand against my Chosen's cheek as she stirred, "Rest my sweet, it is not time for you to wake, but soon I promise." Being free from the void of nothingness allowed me to regain my connection with Catori. Finally, she was resting, her love for others was becoming a hindrance in her healing. She was such a unique being, absorbing everything. Even as she slept she had evolved. She would not be the same when she did wake up. This worried me. My father and I did not share the same concerns. She needs to wake up very gently. Catori was so powerful she could easily destroy the very earth she was created to protect if she startled. This is one of the reasons I sleep more now. To watch over her. I feared she would go into blinding rage if she were to happen upon Akoshka's destruction. I had not a worry in the world that she would lose against her. In fact, in truth, I was not afraid at this point anyone could defeat her. Not alone anyway. My eyes fluttered open. Something had happened and I could feel it. Everything within me ached, I cried out.
"Father," I called out from my garden.
"Come to me, Selene," he ordered. Still only allowed to roam my garden for the crimes I committed, I could only enter the halls of Justice when summoned.
I made my way to the foot of his throne. I sat watching the Chaos as the Angels gathered their weapons, preparing for battle.
"Father, what is it?" I asked as I looked at my sister. Her eyes filled with tears
"The end is here, Selene," Maui whispered.
"Akoshka has made a pact with the devil. They have joined forces and the gates of hell have been opened."
I shook to my core at the thought it was time for her to rise!
"Father! It is time, let me wake her!" He turned away from the angels just to address me. We have had this conversation many times and always the same thing.
"No Selene!" He said as he always did before, but this time I would be defiant, he was forcing my hand. I felt it in the pit of my stomach. "Father! Let me wake her, now! Or everything you love will die!" I screeched.
Chenoa's POV
The transport vehicle landed at the same spot where we took off. "Hurry, we must get back to the time loop. Go Blaine, I will call you if I need you!"
"Noah!" I could see the worried look on his face. "I will be okay and I will return your daughter to you. Now go!" I ordered.
He looked torn but within seconds he was gone. Richard, Kevin, Me and Terry and Rosa held on to each other as I prepared to teleport back, but then from the corner of my eyes, Kevin broke the circle and took off running, shifting. He saw someone moving through the foliage, "River!" I yelled as he spotted me. He came running in my direction, which is when I saw he was running with my nephews being chased by … what the hell were they? I also noticed the girl running alongside him when one of the dogs leaped on her, tearing into her flesh. It tried dragging her away. River stopped and looked back,"Go!" She screamed at him. As he bent down Elijah ran into his arms. River looked torn but he ran toward us. I shifted and ran past him and so did the rest of my crew. It was a bloodbath and when it was over Rosa lay over Terry's body. "Do something!" She screamed at me, but there was nothing to be done. I could not restore a heart that was not there. I looked around us as I saw two more wolves emerge from the woods. "Thomas, Ruby!" River called out and rushed past him to the girl that had lost her leg. "Do you know them?" I yelled at River.
"Yes!" He yelled back at me.
"It's Legacy!" River cried out.
"What are you talking about?" The guy asked River as I teleported us back to the time loop. There was no time for explanations as there were more of those dogs coming from everywhere and I had been injured and so was Richard. "Legacy is the undoing. Zion told me," River announced.
"Zion, what are you talking about?" I demanded as we came storming through the loop. As soon as we fell through, Chastity came running at me.
She threw her arms around me, "We got the weapon! But Zion, and Chandler," she began, until her eyes fell on the boys. Before she could say another word, my father,
Dorkis came stomping over to us, "Do you know what you have done!" He yelled at the boys, "you deliberately disobeyed me!" He was fuming. Neither spoke, they seemed traumatized like they were in shock. "Dad!" I yelled, stepping between him and the boys.
"No, this is not just about them, it is about us all!" He growled.
"We don't care, we want our dad!" Elijah yelled. Earth began to shake.
"Elijah," my father snapped, looking around, "where is Zion?" He said, realizing he had not returned.
Everyone's eyes fell on Chastity, "We dropped him and Chandler off in the middle of the ocean." She said as her eyes filled with tears.
"Your bleeding!" My father looked concerned as blood poured from my arm.
"I'm fine," I said, then turned to Chastity, "YOU WHAT!" I yelled. Zion was a thorn in my side, but he was all my nephews had.
"It's okay he made it to land." River spoke up, prompting me to let out a sigh of relief.
"But how?" Chastity asked him in confusion.
"My mom," River explained, "She bought him to land and your mate."
"Thank Goddess," Chastity said, the guilt of not being able to save them was killing her. I could see it all over her face.
Zara nearly knocked me down trying to get to the River. She threw her arms around him. Kissing him on the cheek, "I thought I'd never see you again! Mmmuah" she said, looking around. She spotted Richard as he kneeled over Terry's lifeless body.
"Where is Tabatha and the kids?" She asked. No one bothered answering. Truly, at this point, she, Kevin and Richard were the only ones that gave a f**k. I'm sure that was harsh thinking, but the world was ending. I had more pressing s**t to deal with.
"Why did Zion not come back?" I asked Chasity, who was now joined by Carson.
"He was touched by the Undoing. He couldn't or he would have led them here." Carson explained as
I watched as our healers came forward and began healing wounds on the girl. "So Zion is MIA. How did you end up with them?"
"Elijah and his brother figured out how to leave the loop." My father announced, glaring at the boys.
"What boys, you can't do that! Did you see what was out there? You could have been hurt!" I found myself yelling.
"We can't just leave them out there," Carson said as he gathered his thoughts,
"So I have been reading since we got back and," Carson saw Elijah and bent before him, "thank you for my life, my little prince. One moment," he said, looking at me as I held my aching arm, brushing off my father's touch as he reached for me. Carson knelt to look at Elijah. It was only then that Elijah uncrossed his arm and nodded in respect, acknowledging the Alpha.
I looked confused when Chastity whispered, "We almost lost him when Elijah healed him, from here I guess. It was awful, Noah really bad."
"Thank you little prince I am forever indebted to you." Elijah leaned over and kissed his forehead, so humble he was at that moment.
Carson stood and finally looked at us again, "Uh it says here. Once touched by her, it is like she has your scent. She can find you anywhere."
"Wait touched. What exactly does that mean?" River looked alarmed.
"Why did she touch you?" Zara asked.
"I f****d her!" River screamed.
"Oh s**t me too." Thomas mumbled.
"Um and me," Janine confessed.
"You're not even gay!" Thomas yelled as they all turned to look at Ruby, "It was a threesome, okay, we all screwed her! That is not f*****g relevant right now! Did she mark us?" Ruby huffed. Everyone turned to look at Carson for an answer. Carson did not need to utter a single word, we all knew we were doomed.
I felt it hit me, my vision. This was how she found us. I took off running for my daughter, hearing my father yell, "You have to go, you're going to lead her here!" But it was too late. The loop began to spin around and we all screamed, bracing ourselves, "Ah so this is where you have been hiding!" She cackled, Akoshka's voice spoke. As our world rocked, I ran for Dora, "Dora!" I screamed. It was utter chaos from that moment on. I reached the room where the children were grabbing Dora and Summer, who were huddled together. Squeezing them tightly, I held on for dear life to both of them.
'Noah, what's wrong?' Blaine's voice rung in my head.
'Its happening Khrisna and we are not prepared!' I screamed as it felt like the bottom was snatched from under us. We all began to fall toward the Earth. My stomach dropped. As I braced myself for the fall but holding on to both girls, I landed the wrong way, and I heard the bone in my leg break. I screamed out in pain. Not even feeling Dora or Summers nails as they dug into my skin.I tried standing when someone fell from the sky on top of me. All I could do was scream as the weight on top of me pushed me down.
"Mommy, I can't breathe," I could hear Dora gasping for air. "Help!"
Suddenly, there was relief. I looked up, "Dad," my father dragged me and the girls to the wall of the dome Akoshka had trapped us in. I could hear the girls crying as I looked around. Where did he go?" I spotted him as he beat against the dome trying to free us. It was no use. We were trapped, stuck like rats in a cage. Zion! I saw him running toward Elijah. I knew from my vision. I tried to go to him. I cried out in pain, the pressure on my leg was unbearable, but I had to try to get to Elijah. Zion was struggling as he ran. He held on to Earth's head, forcing him to continue looking into his chest, surely trying to shield him from seeing Elijah. I ran a few feet and through the crowd I saw Maddy lying on the ground as well. Maddy was a little closer. I was torn? Do I save my blood or Maddy? Maddy was closer so I went to him and, using what little strength in me, I ran my hands over his body as I kept looking over my shoulder at Elijah. Damn it, why had Zion not made it to him yet? I held Maddy and looked back. River had laid his body over Elijah, "thank Goddess," but where was Zion? I tried pulling the kids to safety as people trampled over one another, the screams, "cover your ears!" I choked out to the girls as I watched as Carson went soaring into the sky. She tore him apart and tossed his body, his upper half came crashing into me and the kids, splattering blood all over us. Dora came unglued, and started screaming, as Summer started yanking at her hair. There was a loud crash and the dome shattered. My eyes searched around. "Blaine!"
