Part 5 Chenoa Heals Too

Rescue Mission

Zion POV

I had a headache from hell and Czar was still in my head growling at the disrespect the dragon lord displayed. Who the hell did he think I was? I'm a strong believer in showing with action, no need for talk. I could not wait to finish what we started at the same time I feared for my sons.

Maden was still at the packhouse along with Kade and my parents. The more I read the more uncomfortable I felt. After everyone slept I, Carson and Chenoa stayed up reading. I suppose it was the Alpha in us. Bred to honor and serve, we had to see and read every word ourselves. The best way to win any dispute, battle, war was simply to know the in's and out of your opponent. For example the dragon lord had already shown me one weakness: he was cocky and small minded. He underestimated me which is why I only showed him a mere fraction of my strength. I wanted to dispose of him but not in front of my son. He would bleed, scum. The thought of him touching Catori made me sick to the stomach. My blood boiled, which made me think of Earth. He had come to my defense, so much anger and power in such a small being. My sons would be great leaders and warriors one day and I would teach them to be humble, wise and loyal. Loyal, guilt washed over me. Without a doubt I knew Catori would come back to me. If this world were to end at least I would have the opportunity to be by her side one last time. I looked over at Leilani as she lay sleeping on a cot a few feet away. What the hell have I done? Looking at her now I knew I took her as a mate for all the wrong reasons. My pack, my grief, a mother for Maddy. And if I was being truthful with myself, spite. I was angry at Cat hell I still am, she has other mates. Did he taste her, touch her, love her as I? Love was never in the picture for Leilani and I. I would be lying if I said I did not find comfort in her oddly enough it was not in a s****l way, well sometimes it was s****l. Leilani was easy to talk to, she listened so intensively. Clearly she loved me and not in a I want to be Luna kind of way which happened a lot when you were Alpha. This is how Maden got here, Emoni's trickery all because she wanted to be Luna, or I want the Chosens mate kind of way. Shewolves sometimes acted like Catori was a rockstar and I was her mate which made them want me because she had me. For Leilani it was as a friend who cared to listen. She and Maden had grown pretty close and she kept saying to me I'm worried about Maddy, what about Maddy? I carried her worry as I did my own. Running my fingers through my hair I knew I was in a f****d up posistion. Leilani loved me, pure with such passion. I combed her mind many times looking for fault but there was none, her heart was pure. I would be loyal to her. A man of honor did not take a mate and dishonor her. We would have to make this work, Catori would have to accept her. I felt Chenoa's eyes burning into me. I could feel her animosity, she did not like the relationship I shared with Leilani anymore than I like her relationship with Kreis. I hoped we could find some common ground. "Say it, Noah," I said without looking at her, "it is obviously eating you up."

"She will never accept her. It's offensive that you would ask her too. I am not picking on you, I'm only telling you the truth. You should cut her loose while you still have a chance." Chenoa said and I couldn't help but think to myself how annoying I found her voice these days.

"And you should mind your own f*****g business." Leilani sat up on her elbows to look at Chenoa. I thought she was sleeping, apparently not.

"How does it feel to know you are here simply out of necessity? I mean Zion is hot as hell, even I could admit that but is his d**k dipped in gold? Is it worth dying for?" Chenoa asked, Leilani stared at her and finally she said, "Dipped in gold with a strawberry and whip cream on top and I enjoy licking it off on every opportunity I get. If you must know. So tell me Chenoa how does it feel knowing you are second choice and the man you kiss has your dead mate's blood on his breath?" Oh s**t did she say that? I was not easily taken aback but I did not see that coming.

"Shots fired." Carson said. As Chenoa dove across the room grabbing Leilani by the neck.

"Let her go Noah, you play with fire you are bound to get burned." I spoke.

"Speak on my mate again and I will break your neck," she hissed "Save my sister the time of ending you."

Leilani was coughing but managed to choke out, "which mate would that be?"

Chenoa lifted her from her feet and tossed her at me and Leilani came flying across the room falling into my lap. She looked at me, "your sister in law has a temper."

"They both do Darling." I admitted it honestly. Leilani rubbed her neck, "Should I be worried?" Leilani asked me.

"Very." I answered honestly. Chenoa came stalking across the room.

"CHENOA STOP IT! THE CHILDREN ARE ASLEEP. BESIDES THAT IT IS NOT YOUR FIGHT IT IS CATORI'S. YOU NEED TO MIND YOUR OWN AFFAIRS." Dorkis said to her very sternly. Chenoa looked as though she deflated. I could see the sadness wash over her, the guilt. She wanted to say more but Instead went back to her corner and picked up the scrolls she was reading as if nothing happened. Leilani snuggled into my lap. She was so tiny. She lay her head on my chest and moments later I heard her soft snore. She was a spunky little thing not many she wolves would taunt an Alpha like Noah. I will protect her at all costs. Even if I took her for all the wrong reasons. She was mine now. Besides, she was also good for pressure release. Although intercourse was not super amazing for me, I did enjoy the oral s*x. She never seemed to tire, she would suck me off for hours without complaints and I allowed her to. Sometimes it was the only way I could get relief.

It had been unleashed by the pure of heart.

"What does that mean?" I asked.

"What?" Chenoa yawned as if nothing had happened just seconds ago.

"That it was unleased by the pure of heart?" I repeated,

"Sounds like it was released by accident." Carson said, "I feel sorry for that poor guy." Carson stretched.

"So what have you guys gathered?" I asked.

"We need to find as many of our people and bring them to safety. This being is…mad no one is safe." Carson said,

"I agree but this being is and enchantress, she can entice anyone. We cannot take in any new people she could insert herself into the pack to find out where they are hiding."

"So in order to save the masses we must leave some behind. Who shall we appoint with that daunting task?" Carson asked, "it will be the hardest task of all." They were all silent,

"How will we get to the Wisteria, hell Russia, the undoing had shut down all flights? It's not even safe for Chastity to fly." Chenoa said.

They were all silent for a moment, "Chandler can not handle losing her again." Carson sighed.

"I can't handle losing anyone else." Chenoa whispered.

"We will plan this out and we will not make any moves that are not calculated." I said to them.

We spent the rest of the night planning, Chenoa was going to go to see if the council could offer any help. That was her task, she was taking her Delta Jacobi. Kevin would gather as many people as he could find from Silver Crescent Moon. Chandler and Chastity would gather the people of Wildfang Shadow Pack. While Cameron would attempt to reach all Alpha's in the surrounding packs to get their people and meet in a discreet location.

I was going to Mystic Moon, once we had our families, we had answers from the council, we would then plan the trip to Russia and Wisteria. At this point we had no idea where the weapons were or how to find them once we arrived at said locations so we would focus on what we could do for now.

I needed a few hours of sleep at least everyone else had fallen asleep. I decided to take a walk, I had barely touched the door knob when Leilani woke. "Where are you going?" She was so connected to me, sensing I was no longer there. "Trouble sleeping, I thought I would take a walk" She looked at me and licked her lips. I looked around the room and nodded toward the door. It was an unspoken message that she was willing to suck me off and I certainly was in agreement. We walked outside and it was nice and warm out. I walked around to the side of the building and leaned against the structure. She pulled her hair back into a ponytail and dropped to her knees, "Are you afraid Zion?" She asked me as she unzipped my pants.

"Of course I am. This is something I can not easily fix." I said watching as she released my manhood with gentle care.

"I am afraid to." She spoke as she rubbed the head of my p***s against her lips, "what if she does not accept us and I lose you?"

I ran my fingers through her hair as she looked at me with her big beautiful eyes. We had discussed this once already but she was still apprehensive.

"I told you she has other mates too. We will all be together. We will make it work." She gazed into my eyes searching for some sign of deception. Satisfied she took me into her mouth and I closed my eyes and enjoyed the warmth of her mouth, the feel of her tongue. Trying not to allow my mind to wander because I so needed rest. Still as I held her ponytail I found myself remembering the first time Cat had given me the pleasure, how it felt.

Leilani coughed, "My Lycan that was quite a load." She giggled, "I wasn't ready." s**t, after all these years just the thought of her touch gave me relief. "Better now baby?" She asked me. "Yes sweetheart, better."

The next morning as we prepared to go after giving details to Dorkis, Leilani gathered her things, "Wait your not going."

"The hell I'm not!" Leilani snapped,

"It is to dangerous for you out there." I growled.

"Not if I am with you Zion," Leilani pointed out.

"I need you to be safe, so that I can focus. Leilani this is not another Alpha trying to take my territory, this is a goddess that wants to end all. I need you here so that I can focus on retrieving Maden and my parents safely. Besides you can watch over Elijah and Earth until my return."

"As if they need me." Leilani huffed

I sighed because I understood her disposition. Elijah was not the same with Earth like he was with Maden. He was very attentive. He watched Leilani's every move and the one time she slipped and referred to herself as mommy, Elijah quickly corrected her. He cleared his throat and gently touched her arm and said, "You are kind I see that with Maden. He needs a mom but we don't." Leilani had quickly gathered herself although her feelings were hurt, "I understand Elijah, my apologies." Leilani had said to him in which Elijah replied.

"Leilani it is okay. I see you mean well. Just please remember, thank you." Elijah had said and he gathered his brother and left. Elijah did everything for Earth except change his diaper. He explained everything he was doing or had done. So much so that Maden had quickly began to do the same, teach him everything he knew. Although Earth appeared to be like any other child, he was not, he was absorbing all the information.

"Dad," Elijah had asked me the day Earth arrived, "where will Leilani go when mom returns?"

"Go what do you mean, Elijah," I asked, "Leilani is my mate."

"Oh, like Lusca is mom's mate?" The boy had asked.

"Elijah, how do you know Lusca is your mom's mate?" I immediately remembered he was there during the conversation I had with the sea beast so I assumed this was it until he said.

"He teaches me things. He is kind to me like Leilani is kind to Maden." Elijah said following with, "I understand now."

The feelings I felt when he said this to me where not feelings I could put into words. "Elijah what do you mean he is kind to you. You have never met him."

"Dad, do you know why I do not like talking to you?" The boy looked me right in the eye, "Why, I do not like telling you things?"

Now a lot of things ran through my head at that moment, mainly that he did not like bringing his problems to me. As an Alpha everyone problems fell in my lap eventually but I was hurt that the one person that should come to me did not. I knew Elijah kept a lot to himself and I tried prodding him for information and combing his mind but he kept a block up, I often wondered why he was so guarded.

"Why son?"

"Because you lie to me." He said to me simply, "even when you don't mean to lie."

"Elijah-"

"You told me mom was in heaven gone dead. I knew she was not. I have always none." He added.

"How?" I asked.

"Because during the day I am here with you but at night when I dream I am under the sea with mama." He gave me the look that he often did, resentment.

"Elijah I didn't know. Your mama and I use to be so close I could hear her heartbeat, like I did my own but the minute she died-"

"SHE DID NOT DIE! You are still not listening dad." In the moment I could tell I had been blocked out once again. He was still there still looking at me but he didn't not hear another word I said. It was frustrating, he was his damn mother. Cat had a way of looking at you but not hearing you because she was upset or disinterested.

"Elijah, don't be rude." I said to him and he asked,"how am I being rude?"

"You are not listening to me." The boy smiled at me as if he was surprised I caught on, "sorry dad."

"Elijah you have a sea beast like your mother?" I asked now thinking to lighten things although I was thinking a million other things like, why does she reach out to him and not to me, so Elijah has interacted with her mate. If nothing more, at least Leilani and Cat and I had a chance.

"I don't have a sea beast." He had simply said.

"UNBELIEVABLE! I AM STANDING HERE POURING MY HEART OUT TO YOU AND YOU HAVE HEARD NOTHING I SAID!" Leilani was yelling at me pulling me from my thoughts and I was as guilty as charged. I'm not even sure when I tuned her out. 'You didn't miss much, Champ.' Czar said to me.

"Leilani I know you are frustrated but your not coming, Breanna, Yeresa, Janette and," I looked around her at the nameless Omega big on respect I said, "Excuse me, your name?"

"Lexi,"

"And Lexi will be here as well as you. I hate to dismiss your feelings but your safety is my biggest priority." I said to her firmly. I knew it was not settled when she began to turn red, "Zion Black I am not incapable of handling myself!"

"Well you certainly have the mouth for it, the skill is where you fall short darling and I do not have time to be rescuing you when the whole damn world is in need of rescue so could you please have a seat."

"No!" She stomped her foot and put her hands on her hip. So I scooped her up tossing her over my shoulder.

She screamed and started kicking and punching. I tossed her in the broom closet and closed and locked the door by sealing it with my the powers that seemed weaker to me every since the last altercation with Blaine.

"You can release her when I'm gone."

As I stomped off I heard the Omega say under her breath I know this is terrible timing but he is so hot.

Breanna laughed and whispered yeah he is. I rolled my eyes. At a time like this how could that even cross their minds .

We were about to go and I had already advised my boys to be on their best behavior. Kevin kissed Breanna and walked over to me. Me, Chastity, Chandler, Cameron, Carson, Jacobi, Chenoa and Kevin all stood in a circle. We knew there was a strong possibility one of us might not return from this trip. "Brother if this is the last I see you," Kevin looked at me and said, we looked each other square in the eye. No further words needed to be said. We hugged it out, in my pack you could damn near kill each other one day and be the best man at the wedding the next. Kevin and I had had differences but we literally played in the sand box together these were dire times. No grudges to carry over into the next life all is forgotten. I could see the fear behind Chenoa's eyes, I could also see her strength she was a mighty warrior just as her sister, she has heart and would fight until her last breath.

Chandler looked fearless while Cameron and Carson looked scared shitless the both kept looking back at there mate. Dorkis came to us he grabbed Chenoa and pulled her into a hug, "Come back to me Noah." He said to her, I looked away because I recognized his pain.

"I will dad." She said making promises that none of us could keep.

"Remember when you are ready for me to come break the stick I gave you." With those last words we were off.

The moment we dropped, everyone took off running. The wind was ridiculous so it seemed the Undoing was still in the midst of a tantrum. There was no cover she had destroyed the majority of the forest so we were either going over or under huge logs. Carson would follow me to Mystic and from there try to phone as many alpha's as he could. So He, Chastity, Chandler and I were heading in the same direction. We stumbled across many wolves hiding under logs for coverage, "What pack, who is your Alpha?" Carson demanded,

"Jake Weston of Blood Water"

"Follow me and contact your Alpha tell him to have his people head toward Mystic Moon take coverage until I send a sign and only allow people that he has known no newcomers to stress to him do not say her name refer to her as the undoing it is life or death! Do you understand?"

"Yes!"

We could not run in a group because we did not wish to draw attention to ourselves. It took nearly an hour to get to Mystic Moon but in the process we had picked up several thousand wolves. I was impressed at how well Carson jumped into action. He was organized and precise leaving no room for error.

As soon as I saw my territory I felt like my heart was ripped from my chest. The Undoing has discovered the shield protecting our territories and she was beating the hell out of it trying to burst through. 'Kade, where are our people?'

'Holy s**t Alpha never been so happy to hear your voice. We are in the dungeons. The ones that did not stay are in the woods.' Kade said to me.

'Don't come out right now your in the safest place.' I said as I watched Akoshka throwing trees at the shield.

I was trying to think of the best way to save my family and panick was starting to set in when Chastity ran over to me. "Zion tell them I am coming in to get them. I need you to move everyone else toward the caves there beyond those hills. It's the safest place and they are deep enough to hold everyone."

"Chastity how you can just walk them out and-" She stuck a finger to my lips to silence me.

"Zion I am a wolf and witch. Not just any witch I am the Chosen white witch that walks alongside the Chosen trust me friend let me save our people. I am awake now." She stood before me and suddenly disappeared. Where the hell did she go? I said a quick prayer to the Moon Goddess and then ran toward Carson's hiding spot, "lead the people to the caves now!" Just like that wolves began to dart from every direction toward the caves.

As much as I trust Chastity I stood back a few moments, my feet would not allow me to leave my son. Then I heard the boom, the shield collapsed and Akoshka had formed into a tornado. In minutes she had completely destroyed Mystic Moon, it was gone, everything was gone.

"I knew you would still be here!" I heard Chastity's voice but no one was there.

'Alpha good to see you,' Kade said.

'So what's our next move?' My father asked.

"The caves! Let's go, people." Chastity ordered. Once we reached the caves we realized we had picked up nearly ten to twelve thousand wolves. Not to mention when entering there were probably twelve thousand there already.

Inside the cave I kissed my son over and over. And hugged my family and was so happy they were safe. I looked at Chastity. She had an entirely different aura and confidence about her. I had no words to say to thank her. I just hugged her. "You're welcome, now Chandler and I must go. She will certainly go for Silver Crescent and Wildfang Shadow next. I told Kevin to lead them here and Carson has told our people to head in this direction. I will go to meet them halfway to offer a safer journey since they must come further.

"Yes, go be safe!" I shook Chandler's hand and off they went. Back into the danger. Once I knew my people were safe I went back out to join Cameron and Carson. They went north and South so I went to the east and Kade to the west. All of us agreed to meet back in a few hours. Our mission was simply to save as many as possible.

Akoshka

The shield was beautiful. I rather enjoyed myself as I destroyed it and then it occurred to me why was it here in the first place. It was not of Earth. In fact the damn thing was quite powerful, resilient. I needed answers! I had snatched up about three of those pesky wolves demanding answers. All of them refused to tell me anything. I forgot how loyal the damn things were, so finally I found a starving vampire "I will give you a meal if you can tell me where the shield comes from."

"I don't know where it comes from." The vampire admitted,

"You're useless!"

"Wait, it's Zion Black's territory, the mate of the Chosen I'm sure it's something she created." The Vamp blabbered out

"Mother gave this Chosen a mate?" This had never occurred to me. What was he like? Of course she gave the copy cat a mate all her people had mates. Everything that was this Chosens was supposed to be mine including this Zion Black he should belong to me. The problem was I had raised so much hell there was no telling where he was or how to find him. Surely this vamp would not know, "Where would I find him?" I asked the squirming Vamp.

He looked at me, "Seriously hiding somewhere from all this damn wind you're stirring up or scrounging for food like me. How the hell should I know? I thought you knew everything!" I stared at him, I could have ripped his head off but I decided to spare him for now. "Find him and I will give you another tasty meal. Got it?" I asked as I bought a fat calf and dropped him on it.

He didn't answer and nodded his head as his teeth sunk into the calf. Time for another visit to mother.

'Zion guess who I just stumbled upon?' Kade said to me,

'Who?'

'Janora and her niece,'

'Wonderful and Xavier?' I asked him.

'I don't think he survived, their pack was attacked when they refused to sacrifice the children. They are not sure exactly what happened but none of the men are uh around.' Kade explained. I was saddened by this. Xavier was a good man. I knew Janora had to be devastated. 'Try to get them to safety.'

My heart was aching because I knew this would be just one of many tails of grief I would hear in the days to come.

By the time Chastity arrived back to the caves they were nearly full to capacity. 'Okay I will use my stick first for this group and then we will travel further out. To spread the word has anyone heard from Kevin or Noah?'

"No not yet they should have arrived by now I will go in search of them." Chastity said

"Wait, Carson just linked me Cameron is injured he got hit with flying debris." Chandler looked scared just thinking of his brother's fate.

"Let's go babe, Zion you are taking the first group in?" Chastity said

"Hell no! Kevin is still out there. I'm heading toward Silver Crescent." I stated I could not leave them behind.

"There I see them." My Uncle Omar yelled. They all came running in like a herd of elephants. As I snapped the stick and Dorkis appeared, "Nice crowd!" Dorkis said. Zion watched as Kevin scanned the room. His eyes came to him, still he said nothing Once we arrived back I immediately started shouting to the other Alphas, "Alpha's find your people we need a list of all the missing people confirmed dead or lost! So we will not accept anyone that is unable to be vouched for. Please comb over that list. No one wants to turn anyone away, especially not a loved one" As soon as I said the words I turned to find Kevin standing before me.

"Where is Tabatha, and my son?" Kevin asked me. An Alpha must stand on all his decisions, I looked him square in the eye and said, "Banished!"
