Chapter 15: Circus Happiness

As we entered the horror house, I suddenly felt the shivering cold.

"Woah, it is so cold in here", I told Azrael.

He didn't answer me but go straight and look at the first room we see. He is really serious about this, huh.

When we went outside, we are welcomed by a lady in white, sitting in the chair while staring at us. This must be one of the staffs or the true ghost in here.

But she seemed to be a staff though. I couldn't see any dark or white aura in her unlike the other ghosts I saw. I shrugged my shoulders. Meeting real spirits maybe already practiced me. The true spirits I saw are far more terrifying than that. There were some of those who is full of blood like the Bloody Mary while there are some ghosts who have a bullet in their head, no eyeballs and many more scary things. 

Azrael and I both passed the ghost staff easily. "You aren't scared?", Azrael asked me.

I shook my head. "On the first ghost? It wasn't a real ghost after all", I answered.

He chuckled softly. We then entered the second room but it wasn't also that terrifying, and so the third and last room.

I think seeing the real life ghosts makes me more immune to them so I kinda didn't mind the ones cosplaying or acting like one.

After we finished our tour in the house we both stopped at an ice cream stand.

I ordered a double dutch flavor meanwhile Azrael choose the mango one. He even asked why I chose double dutch even though it is just the same as the chocolate flavor but I just told them they are both different.

Chocolate is just a plain choco for me, meanwhile, a double dutch flavor is much more better in my taste. Well, people have different point of views and taste on everything. You can only met someone with a similar taste like you for once or maybe none in your entire lifetime.

"The horror house wasn't like what I expected. There's no real ghost there", I said to Azrael while licking my ice cream. They have toppings so I kinda liked it more than just a regular ice cream.

"I actually found one though I am not sure", Azrael told me that made me look at him. Wait, what did he just said?

"You saw a ghost in there?", I asked him in pure shock.

"Yeah, but it is more like a spirit dressed as clown. I saw him passing behind you when we finished the last room", he answered.

What? "C-clown dressed ghost?"

He nodded at me and finishes his ice cream.

It is okay for me to see any kind of ghost but a ghost looking like a clown? I will die easily if I met him. And, that clown passed behind me? Oh god, how did I even not noticed it?

"Don't worry, if he will be ever try to meet us again, I won't make him meet you", he assured me that made me smile and be more thankful to him even though he is so arrogant at some times.

"Thanks", I said but I was still scared about it.

Clowns are one of my greatest fear. I first saw one when I was a child, maybe a seven years old child and I remember being so happy at the thought of me seeing a clown.

But then, one day, I was passing into a closed and abandoned playground near our school to play and I noticed that I am the only one in the area or so I thought.

I heard some groaning sounds coming from behind the slide.

I slip though the play house to see what's happening and I saw the clown I saw before hammering a person.

That was the biggest nightmare of me. I immediately run after seeing it and went to my house.

I remember telling my parents about it and we filed a case for it and the clown became a wanted person. The clown had never been caught and is still maybe killing more people.

"What a great story."

I glared at Azrael who is now sipping his cup of iced coffee. He read my mind again. Tsk.

We saw many people running towards the entrance while polices and paramedics are entering the park.

I also saw Jayden holding his phone and maybe trying to call someone.

My phone then rings and I immediately saw Jayden's name.

"Yes? What is it?", I said after answering the call.

"Are you guys all staying together?", he asked me.

"No, we aren't. I am with Azrael now", I answered.

I heard him cuss. "There's a mass missing case in the park especially on the kids area. You should now find Elinora and the others", he told me.

I look at Azrael and he seemed to hear what Jayden had said.

"Okay okay, we will", I said and hung up the phone.

Mass missing case? So it means, people, mostly kids casually disappeared in an instant?

Azrael and I first went to the merry go round where they first go. We both saw that they weren't anyone in here.

Next, we went to the food park but seems no one was here also. The whole park seems like a place in an abandoned park scenes in the movies. Some unfinished food are still here and all chairs were being destroyed maybe because of the stampede that happened.

I tried to dial Elinora and Madison's number but they didn't respond.  Bliant and Mason's phone are also cannot be reach.

"Where do you think are they?", Azrael asked me.

I didn't answered him. Even me doesn't know where they are, if they are safe or not.

"Do you think they are already outside?", I asked Azrael. I have my hopes up if they were already outside. It may seems that they are now safe.

Azrael look at a stall but came back "If they were already outside, they should have contact us", Azrael answered.

We continue to find them until we reached a very familiar place for me.

It was the playground where I used to play before. "Why is it here?", I asked confusingly.

Azrael also seemed loss in his thoughts and thinking why does a playground is here in the deep forest part of the park.

I am thinking so hard if I should go inside and I felt that Azrael feel my thoughts also.

"You could stay here if you want", he told me but I didn't say anything. I know it is difficult for me since I have a great fear in clowns but this is part of the case. I must face this brave.

I immediately enter the place. I then felt Azrael chuckled and also do the same.

We both walk towards the play house and saw many dead bodies laying on top of each other. Some are already rotten while some are only new.

My heartbeat suddenly went steadily fast and it seems like Azrael felt it.

"Don't worry, a murderer cannot kill you. You are protected by the heavens and hell", he said.

That make me feel somehow nice but I still have nightmares of what happened in the past and I can't face a clown at this moment.

We reached the forest part of the park and I immediately saw Elinora being tied up in a tree. I also saw Mason who is also being tied up in front of her.

They are so many people being tied up on the tree. These may be the people who were missing but where is Madison, Bliant and Elvis?

We both remove the ties in their bodies. It became hard for us because they are still unconscious. I then dialed Jayden's number but it seems like there is no signal here.

I tried to wake up Elinora but she really have a deep sleep.

"I think I know what we're facing", I looked at Azrael who is now drawing something on the ground.

"What is it?", I asked him.

He looked at me worriedly before telling me. "It was a demon."
