Chapter 19: Arrived

“We are still not at the island of death right? But why does strange things are happening here?”, I asked them while trying to get the supplies off the car.

"Well, we also don't know anything", Mason answered.

"Maybe the demonic aura of the island was so strong that it influenced the other nearby island as well", Bliant answered.

“Bliant is right. The island of death has a radiating darkness in it and it was also the hideout of some cruel spirit and one of the doors of hell so the ares nearby may had negative aura in it”, Azrael explained.

"You just rephrased what Bliant just answered", I said to Azrael but Azrael just rolled his eyes at me.

"But I said it clearer", he told me before he stormed off and get some available boat.

Mason and Jayden help him while the others help me to get some of our supplies like flashlight and such in the car. 

"Do you think that place is safe for us?", Elinora asked us. "Its name is 'Island Of Death' so it was kinda scared me and maybe there were really some fatal deaths that happened there. That's why it was named like that."

I just shook my head at her. "We have no choice but to go there. Azrael seemed to not mind anything about it at all so I think, it may be safe for us", I told them. I do trust Azrael and I know he wouldn't let us be in danger. Well, he need us. 

I took all the things I think we need. I then heard Mason shouted at us. "The boats are ready!"

We all carry our things while walking towards them. Thankfully, they helped us carry them since it was really so heavy.

"We aren't gonna do camping in there, right?", Jayden asked Azrael while looking at the things we all got. He maybe notice that there are 4 bags full of foods and sleeping materials. It was so obvious that we maybe go camping there.

"I think we will stay there for just a day. I couldn't think of doing anything fun there except for finding clues", Elinora said. She is still in fear about hearing those rumors about the island. Well, in fact, all of us are scared. Island of death is like its name, full of pain, miseries and killings.

Azrael just smiled at us and get in the boat. I think there is something special about that island. By the way Azrael acts, he seems to be so confident about the place we will go. Does it look like the beaches in Hawaii or Cebu?

We used three boats and padded towards the island and Azrael's boat is leading. There were four islands that passed by but we still aren't there yet.

"Are you sure about this, Azrael?", I asked him. I know it wasn't that loud but I know he would still hear me.

"We are near, okay?!", he shouted so I can hear him.

We padded and padded until we reach another island.

I stared at it but it was just so breathtaking. "Is this the Island of Death?", Bliant asked me.

"Oh god, it was made of gold?!", I heard Elinora shouted from the other boat.

The island was just small but its sand was made of pure gold. It also had unique trees and flowers that I haven't seen before. It was like I am in a paradise.

We landed on the beach and tied our boats on the trees nearby. As I stomp my feet on the sand I was shocked that the sand was so soft even though it was made of powdered gold. I can also see gold in the rocks and also some diamonds. I could get some stones here and then I will be rich.

"How the hell the locals didn't seem to know anything about this island?", Jayden asked while trying to pick a fruit that looked like an apple with a violet color. Is that even a thing? It was like a massive grape.

"Only angels and demons could see the path so they really can't find this", Azrael answered him.

I felt more negative aura everywhere than what I usually felt. It was like every part of this island have atleast one demon living in it.

I can also sense the familiar auras of the spirits who tried to kill us in here, specially Elinora's ex-husband.

"We should divide ourselves into three groups. One should get some woods for fire. One should try to catch some meat, a chicken, or other wild animals", Azrael commanded.

"Don't try to catch a demon in disguise. It is so disgusting", Madison interrupt in between.

Azrael chuckled a little. "Well, Madison's right. And for the third group, they will stay here and put up the tents."

"Is everyone clear?", he asked us which we all nodded.

We then play rock paper and scissors for the selection of team and I was teamed up to Bliant and Madison. Jayden and Azrael will catch some animals while Elinora and Mason will remains and will assemble the tent.

I told them to let Bliant in the tent group but they just said that there won't be anything scary in the woods.

Well, except for the fact that this whole island is a demon den, everything is terrifying.

"Just gather some woods. If you think it was enough for a whole night then you cab go back", Mason told us.

I just nodded at them. This job is so really hard.

We three went to the nearby forest. It wasn't far from the beach so it was just easy for them to hear us if anything bad may happened.

"We will pick the dried sticks and wood right? Just the dried ones?", Bliant asked us.

"Yeah, I think so. I've never been in a camping before so I really don't know", Madison answered. I just raised my hand at them and wave.

"Actually I've been into one but it just lasted for an hour so I can't really gasp that moment", I told them while sorting out the dried sticks from those who are not

"Excuse me, are you new here?"

We all looked at our back and there we saw a white haired man with a long beard who looks like a Hobbit character.

"Uhm, sir? Who are you", I asked him.

"Oh, I am a local here. There's never been a visitor here for ages, what are you doing here?", he asked us again. There was no visitor here? Well, I think it's true because who would come here if you felt something strange in the aura of the place.

"We are finding some clues for our case but as of now, we are finding some dried stocks and woods for our campfire", Madison answered him.

The man went from smiley to a serious one. "You aren't planning to stay here, right?", he assured us. What's with that serious face?

"Actually we are planning to stay here for just a day then we will set off tomorrow", I answered.

He look at us worriedly. "I am warning you, it is crazier in here in the night time. You won't be able to survive", he warns us.

"W-why? What do you mean?", Bliant asked after being startled by what the man said.

"The demons in hell are being be free for the whole night but it was back to its prison on the daylight", the man answered.

What does he mean by that? Demons being be freed in hell? I didn't know they have such a rule like that.

And if so, they still couldn't get out of this place. Surely there is a barrier in this whole place to have such a rule here to make sure no imprisoned demon would come off this island.

"So it means?", Madison asked.

"It means we can be ambushed on our first night."
