Chapter 31: Stopping The Future

After I leave Lucifer's place, I immediately contacted Azrael. If I am right, tomorrow would be the day.

"Why are you calling me... in your bedroom?", Azrael asked me after he appeared in front of me.

I rolled my eyes. "It wasn't what you think it is. I called you here because I learned about your little secret", I said and went near him.

"If I touch you, I will know the people you would be killing tomorrow", I told him. I was about to touch his arm when he caught my hands.

"Who told you about that?", he asked me seriously and stared at me straight into my eyes.

I shook my head. "It doesn't matter. What I need to do, is to alter the future you were about to make", I said and concentrate my ability.

I closed my eyes but I couldn't see any visions of death. Does it mean he wouldn't kill anyone tomorrow?

"Don't try too hard. I am planning to lock myself up", he said and he took something on his pocket.

"A handcuffs?", I asked. "Really? You want to lock yourself?"

He nodded. "This wasn't just a regular handcuffs. It was from Mr. Gregorio's secret room. I took one since it made Denzel's ability weak so probably it would make mine also", he explained.

I am still not sure about that though but I should just trust him. He knew his ability more than I do.

"You really won't talk to your Dad?", he asked suddenly.

I glared at him. "He wasn't my father, not even in a single time. And do you know that I was an angel before?", I asked him which just made him shocked.

"It was written in the book?", he asked me back. "Yeah, I know about that. But I don't know you as an angel so even if I knew that fact, I wouldn't be able to share some things to you."

He sat on my bed and take a book on my shelf. Feel at home, huh?

Do all angels really have that kind of attitude?

"Who told you about my secret?", he asked me while reading a book about psychology.

"If I tell you, you won't be angry?", I replied to him.

He dropped the book and looked at me seriously. "You didn't go to hell, am I right?", he asked me.

I didn't answer him. Technically, I didn't go on my own there. Lucifer teleported my soul while I am asleep.

"How many times do I have to tell you not to go near there? Do not trust your gut feeling about him ", he commanded and reminded me.

I looked at him seriously. "Why are you so mad at Lucifer? Based on what I see, he was way better than Michael."

He shook his head at me. "You do not know him very well. Do you know the real reason he fell to the earth and his removal from his position as one of the archangels?"

I became silent. "I-I don't know", I answered. I just know that something was fishy about him being the first fallen angel.

"He was guilty about murders, treason and why does Adam and Eve were sinned. It was all because of him", he answered.

"The evil in the humans' hearts were already been activated way before. That is the true reason why he was fallen to the Earth", he said.

I don't know why but even though he told me about Lucifer's evil deeds, I still didn't believe him. There must be something or someone behind those things.

I just couldn't really tell that it was really Lucifer's doing. As I can see based on the days I knew him, he wasn't that kind of person.

"Maybe he was trying to get you into his team so he didn't really showed his true colors to you", he told me.

I pretend to not hear him. The way Lucifer approached me and his eyes just really said he is telling the truth.

Azrael and I both went to the station. We immediately saw Jayden who was confused on why we are here.

"You are on a night shift, aren't you?", Jayden asked me after he approached me.

I nodded at him. “We just need something there in the chief’s secret room”, I said and pointed at the main chief's office.

He quickly sent us to an available office. "Didn't I told you before?", he asked us.

We both look at him confused. "What did you told us? You didn't tell us anything other than Gregorio's death ", Azrael asked.

He scratched his head so hard. "Oh, I'm sorry. So here's the thing, the late chief's secret room was demolished days ago", he said.

Demolished? "How come I haven't heard?"

"It was secretly made by the main station. I also don't know why they kept it secret."

Azrael sighed. "Gushion maybe told them it was classified. There are so many weapons and stuffs that was hidden there that may killed any creatures."

"Like the angel blade?"

He nodded. "Let's go to the main station", he ordered. He was about to pull me but I removed his hands off me.

I shook my head at him. "I don't want to see his face again", I firmly said.

Jayden look at both of us, confused. "What's up?"

"It was his Dad", Azrael replied to him.

Jayden's eyes widened. "Did your father come back to life? Did I think he was dead and his spirit was on Mason's body?", he asked in shock and wonder.

"It was the man who I had taken my genes with that he was talking about", sagot ko kay Jayden.

"If you just said that he is your biological father, you won't have a lot of chatter ", Azrael teased me.

I didn't answer him yet and left the station. But I was stopped when I saw a vision.

"Aaaaahhhh!!!", I heard a familiar woman's deafening cry.

I quickly went to the other room and I saw Elinora's dead body, full of blood and Azrael ripping his internal organs.

Oh the hell?!!

I feel like I was going to throw up. And he k-killed Elinora. H-How could he do that to the person who trusted him?

I was about to go back to my room and call the others when suddenly, Azrael look at me with his fiery red and dark eye. His face and clothes are also full of blood.

He smirked at me before he rushes towards me.

I immediately came back to reality and was shocked when I saw myself being carried by someone.

"Thank god you are now awake. I couldn't see or read your thoughts, have you seen another vision again?", Azrael asked me before I went down.

He look at me like he was worried but when I look at him, I couldn't help myself but to remember his deadly and scary face.

His face become serious when he noticed me being frightened at him. "You saw a vision of me, am I right?", he asked me. I slowly nodded at him.

"At first, I don't see anything but then, something may had changed the occurrence of the future", I said.

He just nodded at me. He knows what I am talking about but then, what should we do to stop it from happening?

"What do you think changed it?", he asked me.

I them reminisce what happened before my vision. "W-We fought about my father", I answered.

He looked straight at me. "Maybe, you need to go to him to prevent the future?", he asked.

I glared at him.

"Just for this one, I know it's hard but it's harder when whatever happens in your vision", he added.

He's right. It will be more difficult because I, myself was also killed.

"Just for this one", I told him and went straight to the main station.

When we enter Gushion's office, I quickly noticed him talking to someone.

"Hey, young lady!", the person he was talking to shouted when he saw me. It was Lucifer.

Azrael's eyes narrowed when he saw Gushion and Lucifer together. "What's the meaning of this?"

Lucifer smirked. "Isn't it obvious? I am recruiting him", he said and patted my 'dad'.

Gushion looked at me and smiled like he was happy to see me.

"And will you go with him?", Azrael asked Gushion and he just nodded.

"Azrael, you know I knew Lucifer more than anyone. Thank you for helping me to talk to my child but this time, I might have sided with him", he told Azrael.

I saw Azrael suddenly emerged in anger and irritation. He grabbed me and walk out.

He then shouted to vent out his anger. I just rolled my eyes.

"The way I see it, your anger towards Lucifer is too personal", I told him. "It is about Sibylla, am I right?", I asked.

He didn't answered me. I am right. It is about a woman.

I chuckled at him. "Well, I actually think Gushion had already made his choice", I said and bought an ice cream.

"Obviously. So how the hell should I do now?", he asked me irritably.

I turned to the main station and was about to enter when he stopped me again. "Are you coming in again? Don't you dare talk to Lucifer", he reminded me.

"I won't, okay? I'll just get the other supplies you need", I replied before I removed his hand and went inside.

I went straight to the investigation unit and noticed that almost all of them had a strange aura. They're more like an ...

"Angel?", one added while smiling at me.
