Chapter 34: Falling

Ainsley's POV

I woke up as if something strange was happening all over my body. My head was also in pain as if hammering it several times.

"You are awake", said by the newcomer man.

I immediately become so smitten to him. I stared at him like he was the only guy in my whole world. Why do I feel like this now?

"Are you okay? Do you still want to go to the hospital?", he asked me and I just nodded.

I don't know but the aura of his room is better. It was like I am made to be here ... with him.

I approached Azrael as I stared at him. He then look at me confused. "What's wrong with you? And why I can't read your thoughts?", He asked me.

Azrael, I also want to know the answer of that question. But now I just felt that someone is taking over me and you is what it wants.

I stopped in front of him and I just stared at his whole face. Why do I felt something different for this man now?

He patted my forehead and neck and also checked his. "You don't even have a fever. Do you have a problem?"

I did not answer him. I am now staring into his lips. What should I felt if that lips touch mine?

He immediately noticed my stare there so he quickly avoided. He was about to walk out of the room when suddenly I hold his hand.

"Don't leave me", I calmly told him.

His eyes narrowed as if he was worried about what was happening to me.

He was about to speak when I kissed him quickly.

I can feel his body began to be stiffed because of shock. I continued kissing him passionately and pull him to me more.

His lips... it was so sweet that I don't want to end this. I slowly felt him responds. His hands caressed my cheeks and kiss me more sweetly and passionate than what I did before.

"Oh my god."

We quickly loosen our grip with each other when we heard someone. Embarrassed I looked at Madison who was looking at us in shock.

He pointed at the two of us as if he could not believe what he saw. "Are you two—"

"No, no, no. W-We are not", Azrael cut him off and immediately went out.

Madison turned her gaze to me but I was also shocked at what I did just like her. I am so doomed!

"What was that? Is there something going on between you two that we don not know?", Madison asked me seriously but teasingly.

I just kept shaking him. "I am a hundred percent sure that there isn't."

Madison raised her eyebrows at me. "Really? Then how can you explain to me about that kiss?", she asked me.

I fell silent. I almost never knew what I should do. I felt like I was really quite for the whole days and was always focused on every step I am trying to be perfected.

I didn’t answer Madison and forced her to rest. At first she teased me to speak but now, I prefer to think carefully about what is happening.

I went out of the meeting place and searched for Azrael so we could talk. I quickly noticed him on the playground.

"Ainsley, you were hypnotized", bungad niya sa akin habang nakatingin siya sa akin.

I shook my head at him. "No, if I am hypnotized then why I can remember all of you and the thing happened between us as a group for the whole three months."

I sat on a swing. Since I woke up, I feel so much more relieved when Azrael is whenever near at me. It felt like I was with him the longest already but why would I felt this way suddenly?

"That kiss was a mistake. Just tell Madison that I am drunk or something. Maybe she wouldn't suspect something that way", utos niya sa akin

"By the way, I remembered some things."

Tumingin siya sa akin and raised his eyebrows. "What is it?"

Why does he look so handsome and cool on the way he just looked at me?

I immediately shook my head to distract myself from what I am thinking.

"Ainsley?", he called my name to grab my attention again.

"I am sorry about that. As I was saying, I remembered you fighting with some random guy on the hospital. Please tell me it wasn't just my imagination and it is real", I told him.

Azrael sighed and got up from the swing beside me. "That man was Zepar, he is the one hypnotized you. You already know that you are the reincarnated version of an angel and the angel Zepar was just looking for." Tumango naman ako kay sa kaniya.

"So he mistaken me from someone?", tanong ko kay Azrael na ikinatango lang niya.

"Yes it is. Your soul, either reincarnated or not may have deja vu from what just happened on your past but in your case it wasn't like that."

"So in short, Zepar realized that you weren't her angel", he added.

I feel sorry for Zepar. He must be sad and disappointed to hear the truth. Yes, I am the angel that was also her lover's reincarnation but that was ages ago.

When we entered the meeting place where there were no people. Where are they?

I let go of Azrael's hand to look for them when suddenly he pulled me onto him.

Azrael looked at meI looked at Azrael and slowly, the weird feeling left my body. He started walking back to the meeting place so I followed him. I smirked at the thoughts running to my head. I was planning to prank him by flirting with him.

I quickly followed in his big footsteps.I slipped my hands through his fingers that made him shocked.

He mouthed 'what am I doing' but I just smiled at him. and smirked at me. Does the flirting already worked?

He pushed me onto the wall and stared into my eyes which I also did to him. For the very first time ever, I saw his dazzling eyes closer than ever.

He caressed my cheeks whiteout breaking off the stare. "Do you want to do it again?", tanong niya sa akin and stared onto my lips back to my eyes.

I know what he was saying. The kiss. He wanted it, but why?

"Do I still need your permission for this? I know you also want it", Azrael said.

I gulped. This wasn't what I expected it to be.

He gets closer and closer to me and was about to kiss me when he stopped halfway and smiled. And there I already knew he was acting.

I hit his shoulders. "You really seemed to have fun teasing me."

He chuckled. "Well, you started it first."

I glared at him. We spend the entire day together since the others seems to be busy about something important for them.

Azrael and I agreed to forget what happened which I strongly agreed. It will only make both of us awkward if we always ask each other about the steamy kiss we shared together.

I was about to go home when Mason slammed the door and entered the house full of blood.
