Atlas POV

I was jolted awake at the sound of horns blaring outside the far window, reed was next to me looking through email still, but turned to me once he saw I was awake. “How are you feeling atlas? You passed out pretty hard there?” I sat up a bit groggy, “ I’m alright just a bit stiff.” I turned my attention to the driver “ what’s going on out there?” The driver jumped a bit not realizing I was awake, “ my apologies Alpha creol, it seems the was an accident if you want I can take an alternate route that might be quicker.”

I pondered it for a moment, “ yes let’s take a different route if you would please.” The driver nodded and proceeded to get off at the next exit, we were driving down the streets of Seattle when reed exclaimed, “Atlas, that’s pike street, dude can we stop real quick you know your mom would love a picture of us there!”  I smiled, “yeah I think. Being a few minutes late wouldn’t be so bad.” The driver got us a good parking spot and we walked in the center of the pike place market the driver naturally came with us, we walked over to the famous sign and the driver took out a picture much to my delight. I know my mom loves it here, it’s where she met my dad for the first time, she was on vacation with her family and my dad was here on business, he smelled her first and bought the biggest bouquet and then went and found her and he wooed her to death, in 5 mins. Mom said she didn’t stand a chance against his charms or the mate bond. I smile thinking maybe I’ll meet my mate here like dad but as quick as the thought came it went away. Why would she want me I’m a killer I’ve killed many werewolves and humans alike my hands and so red with blood I’d stain her with the slightest touch. I sighed to myself. As we walked around there were so many things and smells, and yelling and screaming? 

Reed came right to my side as did the driver,  “somethings up man, I don’t like this.”  Reed nodded we were just about to leave when I smelled it, pine trees, eucalyptus, and honey. My heart lurched in my chest knocking the wind out of me, my wolf howled in happiness. “Reed!” I shouted. He looked at me, “Atlas we got to mo-... Atlas what’s wrong?!” I was panting out of breath, “I can smell her, my mate.” Reed stiffened “ Well what the hell are we standing around for!?” He beamed at me, we took off with the driver hot on our heals, we passed the fish market, and a few shops the smell got stronger as we ran then we saw people running a large group, and they were moving, like normal humans don’t run like that, the charges through the upper level into the street, I ran hard to catch up but they were too far ahead, we ran to the Main Street where we saw 3 black Sudan’s, and then I saw her, I beautiful raven-haired woman she was wearing leggings and a plain gray T-shirt, with her hair falling out of the bun, panting from running and checks flushed pinkish-red, she jumped in Sudan’s with a man following behind her checking out her ass, which made my wolf angry “ HOW DARE HE LOOK AT HER LIKE THAT SHE IS MINE, MY MATE!”   For once I agreed with my wolf she was our mate! I ran hard again trying to get to them but they pulled out of the parking lot like it was an action movie almost causing two accidents. What the hell were they running from?!

The driver came up with a car, “Sir if you get in I should be able to follow them.” We wasted no time jumping in the car we followed the car as best we could but after a while, we lost her. I slammed my hand on the door, “damn it!!” I was growling and angry, I felt a hand on my shoulder and snap my head at the person daring to touch me, reed flinches his hand back, hey easy atlas, we will find her ok just take a breath, it’s going to be ok, who knows maybe she is with one of the visiting packs.” I sighed, “I’m sorry Reed I didn’t mean to snap at you, I’m just worried and frustrated and I wanna know why she was running from what she was running from. Let’s go to the packhouse for now and we can figure this out later.” The driver nodded, the driver to the packhouse took about 25 mins. Reed and I got out of the car and grabbed a bag each and the driver took care of the rest, we walked up the steps and were greeted by Alpha Hendricks and his Luna, “ Alpha Creol it’s a pleasure to meet you at last, how is your father doing.” I sighed “ He is good as can be expected at the moment.” His smile falters for a moment, “I’m sorry to hear that he is a good man, I hope he can recover, but enough of that how was the trip anything happen?” I wondered if I should saying anything, “not much just a lot of flying, unfortunately.” I chuckled to lighten the mood, and he laughed out loud, “I see your father passed on his loathing for flying to you. Come let’s go inside the maids will showing you to your rooms and the meeting will commence in an hour.” I nodded, I stepped into the house and stopped dead in my tracks, her smell flooded my nose and made me growl and eyes turn dark. Alpha Davidson and his Luna stilled, I closed my eyes and reigned in the control I was losing, “my apologies alpha my wolf gets a bit excited and tries to take over but rest assured I am in control.”  He nodded to me, “Good because I won’t tolerate any fight in my lands due to remember that.” I nodded to him and asked for my room to be on the bottom floor as I could smell her upstairs and if I went up there I couldn’t guarantee that I could keep my hands to myself let alone my fangs from marking her. 

I quickly made my way to my room and threw my cases down and close the door, I was panting hard I am feeling a very uncomfortable tightness in my slacks, she’s turning me on and I haven’t even talked to her yet. I groaned, I went to the bathroom and turned the shower on, I was sweaty from running all over the damn place earlier and I smelled like a boys gym locker, I went and grabbed my shampoos, and body washes, and necessities that I would need, I proceeded to peel out of clothes. It was 15 till, I left the room and walked to the meeting hall, I walked in and was greeted by a few alphas and betas that I knew and paid my respects to there luna’s. I sat down next to Reed to arrive a few mins prior. “ Thank god for the showers man, I smelled horrible.” I chuckled “ I know that feeling all too well.” 

After a few mins more Alphas walked in and then I saw him, the son of b***h that was staring at my mate's ass, it took everything me for to not jump the table and beat the hell out of this arrogant little s**t, everything about him made me wanna kill him, the way he walked talked like he was some big shot, I knew who he was cause I knew his father alpha ember, unlike his son, alpha embers was an extremely kind man with good morals had some quirks but who doesn’t.  His son other the other hand was a silver spoon brat who which b***h until he got what he wanted, and I made my blood boil, the three other men walked in it was an alpha and I can only guess his two sons, they were big and very dominant other alphas wouldn’t look them In the eye’s, when he looked my way I meet his eyes and nodded, the alpha seemed surprised I could meet his gaze and nodded back to me, his sons, however, weren’t moved by this and looked at me as if I were any other wolf, though this didn’t faze me. It seemed everyone was present except one person that was with the alpha and his two sons, I heard shoes clacking in the hall all eyes turned towards the door as the doors opened and there she was, my beautiful mate, and dear moon goddess, she was breathtaking the dress she wore was perfect her hair like a ravens wings and eyes that just shine like stars, and red ruby painted lips, I gripped the table so hard I thought I’d break it then her eyes found mine, and her lips parted as she breathed, I stood, from my chair looking in her eyes, and my wolf and I said at the same time, “MATE!”

Her eyes widened, when I heard it, a thunderous growl tore through the room, I looked and it was the alpha and his sons, “ like hell she is your mate you must!” This came from Aaron, “She is my fiancé!!” I smirked at him, “well that’s too bad, cause now she’s mine as I’m her mate, and your just second place trash.”  Aaron growled loudly, claws and canines extending, I slammed my hand on the table making everyone jolt, “ ENOUGH! We are Alpha Davidson’s quest we will NOT fight here, and stay out of this you wolf trash you don’t get to decide anything this is between me, her, and her family, and last time I checked that isn’t you, so shut and sit down!” Everyone went silent, my mates walked to her seat her eyes not once leaving mine, her brother stopped her and had her sit between the two brothers to ward off Aaron who looked fuming. Alpha Davidson stood, “Alpha Creol and Alpha Raven I think it’s best if you and your family go to the meeting room on the third floor to discuss this, uh, situation.” I nodded, as did Alpha raven we both stood along with his sons and my beautiful mate, Aaron made a move to get up but alpha Davidson intervened, “ONLY THE FAMILY, YOU ARE NOT FAMILY AARON.” Arron sat back down, so angry I thought he would bust a vein in his head. We walked out of the meeting hall up the stairs to the third-floor meeting room and sat down to discuss the situation as alpha Davidson put it.   Moon goddess don’t let them kill me.
