Vampire and Wolf Kings For Mate

Chapter 2

“Hello my fellow pack mates”, we heard Alpha's voice all through the dining area. The pack suddenly went pin drop silent again. 

“We received a notice that Alpha Robin Blackwell from our neighbor pack, the Red Moon pack has decided to visit our pack coming Sunday, 3 days from now. I want you all to be in your best behavior. I have heard that Alpha Robin is quite a looker and is ruthless when it comes to facing an enemy pack. So, it is better to make him our alley than an enemy. If fate supports, then I would surely want him to be my daughter Eleanor’s fated mate”, he concluded his message to the pack members. 

There was pin drop silence in the room for sometime and everyone started throwing yayys and wows in the air later. Dinner was finally concluded and we omegas started having our food by sharing what was left after the pack had their dinner. Yes, that is how pathetic we omegas life was. Me and Sarah made our way towards our room, after we were done with our dinner and cleaning up the kitchen. 

It was Thursday today and alpha informed us that the alpha from the neighboring pack will be arriving 3 days later. So, we omegas had many responsibilities on our shoulders, as making the pack house neat and tidy was our job. Thinking about it, me and Sarah left our way towards our little space available for us in the kitchen. 

“Selena, what do you think the alpha will be like?”, she asked me. 

“I don’t know Sarah, and I don’t even want to know”, I replied with a sigh. 

I don’t know when I drifted off to sleep and it was morning already. As usual. I got up and saw that the time was already 5am. Everyone started getting up and making their way towards the river to finish their morning chores. We all assembled in the kitchen at around 7am and Mrs Matthews started giving us the instructions for the day. 

“Alpha will surely not come alone, because of the number of our pack members. So, I guess we can expect at least 50 members accompanying him to the pack of 500 members. Every accomplice of his will surely be warriors, and hence it is given that they will surely eat twice or thrice than a normal wolf. So, I need you guys to stay prepared with everything”, Mrs Matthews ordered us just like how a principal orders his school students before the organization of an event in the school. 

“Now, team 1 is responsible for taking care of the grocery shopping, team 2 is to take care of the floors and stairs, team 3 you are in-charge of the washrooms in all the floors, and team 4 I want you to take care of kitchen business, and finally team 5 you guys are in-charge of the surroundings of the pack house like garden areas and all”, she assigned us our works. 

50 omegas were divided into 5 teams and we started with our job. Me and Sarah were in the Team 5 and our work was to take care of the garden area and the pack house surroundings. Our alpha specially ordered us to clean the backyard, as he wanted the alpha and other pack members from the neighboring pack to enjoy some time in their backyard grilling meat and enjoying some friendly time with the pack members and all. 

All was set and all was taken care of and finally the day of the arrival of the alpha came. Luna and Alpha were really having a go at the pack members to make sure that everything was very well maintained and there was nothing that could cause any negative impact on our guests. After everything was prepared, Alpha received a message from the border patrol team that the Alpha of the Red Moon pack has crossed the border and will be reaching within 30 minutes. 

Luna ordered us omegas to stay inside the kitchen and not to make any acquaintance with any of the pack members of the guests. We finalized everything and all of us went inside the kitchen and started preparing for lunch. After 30 minutes, we heard the cars roar around our pack house and everything went blank in my mind. 

It felt like something was tugging me to go out. My wolf, who was very faintly visible in my mind, started howling like she had gone crazy. I felt something clawing her way out and trying to take control. I couldn’t stand even a second more and I collapsed on the floor holding my heart. 

Few people surrounded me and started asking what was wrong. Something was definitely wrong and something was pulling me into my subconscious so that it can take charge. I couldn’t hold it any longer and so I started screaming at the top of my voice, but only in my mind as no sound was coming out of my mouth. 

Sarah started loosening the first few buttons of my shirt and exposed my skin. Luckily, I was wearing a tank top inside. She started feeding me water as I was hyperventilating. I couldn’t hold my breath any longer and I started panicking and taking heavy breaths. I wanted to go out and follow the scent of cinnamon and honey mixed with lavender that had filled my body, soul and my whole system. 

Suddenly, I felt darkness engulf me and yet I could hear and even see everything that was going around me. Something in me snapped and something wanted freedom from the chains. I held my eyes shut and took deep breaths, as I remember my mom telling me to take deep breaths, whenever I feel like my heart is about to explode from my chest. 

My breathing continued and everything resided, but I was no longer in control of my body. I got up and made my way towards the entrance in search of the scent that had filled me like a drug. I saw Luna standing close to something and speaking and I just made my way towards her. Before I could pull Luna off of something that was pulling me towards it, I felt a hand on my elbow. 

It was Sarah. “What the he*ll are you doing Selena?”, she whispered and yelled at me at the same time, but I was not going to budge. 

“Let me go. How dare you lay your hands on my body?”, I yelled at her and turned towards something that had a smell and it was very much intoxicating. 

I turned around and saw Alpha Robin looking at me with surprising eyes. As our eyes met, it was like something paused everything around us and it was just me and him. I could see his eyes turning from their normal dark brown to black  looking at me, and going back and forth. It was like his wolf was trying to take control of his body. We both said the same thing together, when we started our staring contest.
