WHO IS THE BOSS?

Episode one "Do you take this beautiful, charming damsel as your woman for better all for worse in sickn...."the priest chant on smiling sheepishly I stood opposite to the love of my life Elora ,holding her palm I gave a little squeeze,looking into her face,my mind reminisced on how I met elora . on that faithful day , unfortunately I missed my flight going to beguim which was a result of a dreadful heavy downpour of rain, frustrated I booked a flight instead to Peru ,to sign up some business deals ,after which I knew I would be in so much query of my absence in the conference meeting taking place at beguim,I took a taxi and lounge at an hotel to wait and also rearrange some documents on my company platform site,absent mindedly I think I bumped into a waitress ,cause I was called out of my worried zone . " hello Mr " a lady called me to presence I turned slowly as I looked at her. she frown,hiding her anger with a fake smile. damn I scan her appearance from head to her heels,like I would have just say something came over me ,cause I really wasn't in my right senses,to cut the chase I was amused by her feature, her eyes,those eyes I took not really was so captivating,icy gray pupil. chuckled at my insanity,I bowed a little of apology and walked away,going toward the receptionist to book a room,as my request was been processed I glanced back to the direction of her talking to a lady also in the same uniform,again I gave a smiley face, and she. glance toward me frown and walked away with her accompany. I chuckled sarcastic, really that hurt my pride ,like I wasn't the type to aim for a lady in a cheap way also given the current situation am in right now,talk of even flirt or desire her that so lowly of me. I took the key offered to me to my room and got in to take a quick shower . later on ,I was informed to cancelled my meeting to Peru and get ready to go another assigned trip in four days to come,given the distance from my residence,I concluded to stay at the hotel, better easy to get to the airport to avoid any unfulfilled reaccurance. my stay at the hotel was an unforgetful stay ,cause I feel over heeled with the waitress, surprised? I once thought,but in a case of love aspect ,love can't be in evitable. during my stay at the hotel,preparing for my assigned trip to tokyo ,elora helped a lot and I get to really know her , outspoken,mannered and ever radient eyes,I really talked of those eyes that I was attracted to it ,she laughed it off,saying I was only flattering her, I argued I was sincere. the day I was to leave the hotel we exchange contact and I kissed her,she was surprised ,I too was so shocked at my self like I was under a spell,a love e web . she waved as I went to check out,going to her suitated position,my thoughts raced ,given her sudden reaction she was not comfortable with the kiss,oh what the hell have I done,tap my cheek guess I have to straighten things with her ,cause I won't be surprised if I give a call later on ,she may not pick up or bother to call me cause I was really not following the procedure . lacking some basis on relationship protocol, really not the type into dating relationship,one I had ended up disastrous,which I really don't want to talk about . just in case I we were cool ,I went in search of her to straighten things out , there I found her, talking in a professionally charisma , smiling,I moved slowly to her calculating the moment she glance toward my side and just in time she looked at me and smiled,hesitating to whom she would dismissed . wave at her to draw her full attention at me ,she hesitating rounded up talking to the person and walked up to me. " I hope no problem,and I guess you should get going" maintaining a smile. " yeah I know ,umm about earlier ,am sorry if it was so dissapproving ,really kinda so unthoughtful of me" " oh that , don't be am okay" she shugged, " you sure okay" I asked again my gaze intense. " yeah we cool" she nodded and give a smile . " ok" I clicked my lips an habit when am in a weird and embarrassing situation. " got to get going ,if you mind calling you " I asked her observing at that moment if she would just say she doesn't want anything to do with me " yeah sure" she side hugged me and waved me bye . relieved of my guilt , cause I wasn't a guy who take advantage of a person,and I have made my peace,and wasn't intentional,damn part of me was or I can say one third really want to do it but,realizing want I have done,made me seem to believe I was also doing attributes of what my ex girlfriend did to me and I so much dispise it. successfully I board a flight to tokyo and till this day we come to realize fate brought us together,like if I haven't missed my flight two years ago, I wouldn't have met elora. ( back to present)* " you are one hell of a woman" I drew Elora close to me as I give her a longing kiss,the crowd cheered,all the congregation were in jubilee. " you can say that again" she gave in a short laugh as she hold unto my hands.we stepped down from the podium stage as well wishers cheered on " you ready? " I asked her . " ready my what? " having no idea what I was going to do next. immediately I swept her off the floor holding her bridal style and I walked toward the awaiting car. " oh my gosh Dave you go over romantic" Fredrick my best man voiced out ,which caught the attention of the whole guest,the cheered on for my approval. " let him be Fredrick this is his day ,let him get the full of it" my mum chipped in her hat one hell of a design. my twin sisters chuckled,while my dad nodded my approval,will be so proud of his son. " you okay with it babe" I asked elora ,who was a little taken unaware. " sure" she laughed out in excitement and I adjusted her dress,taking her weight balanced to my arm. we drove straight to our planned honey moon resident were we spent a month there,and how it all begin ,Elora was carrying my child. I was damn happy,like I would be a father we planned our place of settlement and we finally agreed to stay in Texas. mum wasn't happy she complained of not able to see and take care of her child,cause our family doctor advise her to avoid travelling of her healthy issue. my dad calmed the situation,signing an agreement I would come visiting occasionally. they should be worried ,well I was there only son,and I so appreciate that,mum hesitated on her approval ,but she later gave in ,and I was set to begin a journey of fatherhood. meanwhile I quit my job and based on photography,just to balance my responsibility and also see to the need of Elora,she was six month gone and her enlarge tummy was a sight to behold ,how I thought it was a twin . she laughed it off saying I was imagining things ,yeah we talked to the baby and I swore I heard the baby kicked ,like I was so excited ,I can't wait to see my baby boy, yeah that another issue she claimed it was a girl,we argued so much about the gender when she grew so tired of arguing that we should go on scan ,I refused even from the first month she pleaded to go confirm I told her ,it will be surprised,and if it being a boy or a girl,she laughed so hard ,that I thought she really found my amusing, " so you prefer to argue ,Dave,when technology had made it easy to know what gender is inside my tummy" " no , technology aside ,I don't want it interfere in my children privacy " I told her. " oh my gosh ,Dave you mean the baby told us we should not go to scan" she grinned " yes " " when ,Dave" playfully holding her sheepishly smile. " when you were asleep,I talked to my boy ,he want to come as a surprise " I touched her tummy demonstrating the communication between me and her tummy . she burst out in laughter" Dave you really a comedian,like seriously?" " damn serious," I said sarcastic " ok ,so if it a girl that means you won't take all the same" " I will ,why not ,but you saying it know ,can make my boy to turn to girl,so let be even it gonna be a twin to you okay with that "I asked her. " you really so mean I am carrying only one and see what am going through,you want me to take in two,Dave" she frown . " my mum gave birth to twin ,so you can do it" I cheered her up . she hesitate to reply me ,but she just burst again in laughter. two months and three weeks Elora put to bed ,yeah she was damn right a baby girl,my adorable ,charming sweet little girl,she really took Elora eyes ,yeah I know I really wanted a boy but seeing my baby girl I just concentrated on cuddling her,doctor said she weighed 2.5 kg ,and so Elora have to stay with the baby for a week to further monitor the baby health status . two month gone,since Elora gave birth to Haley,that what I named her,my sweet cute Haley,Elora argued a lot on the baby given name ,but I oppose cause am her father and the head ,she don't tell me what to do. she alot complain I was so obsessed with the baby,like my own baby,and what is she even saying am really do her a great favour,having to take the burden of going to the grocery store to get baby stuff, change diapers ,there so ,her only part is to feed Haley. " sometimes I wonder if really you think you were the one who gave birth to her" Elora said one day ,as she neatly folded the clothes,into the laundry wardrobe. I chuckled ,my back on the door frame , watching her keenly. "biologically,I take 70 percent of the baby existence, without me there is no baby to be formed in your tummy" I said ,moved close to her as I embraced her from behind. " then without my 30 percent contribution,there is no baby,you know right?" she giggled,welcoming my playful romance. I nodded,kissing her cheeck.that why woman is a very important role in man's life,cause without a woman ,man will be so alone and that why God created woman , and I wonder this days ,man put himself in so much pain to want to give birth to baby, biologically,is it really with there anus or d**k the poor kid will squeeze out from,the world will soon go crazy one day . just then the door bell rang,I was taken a back who could that ,cause I wasn't expecting anybody and really not the type you get visitors or friends,my studio I opened after I quit my job at Amazon digital networking company, I had decided I won't work under person but be a self employed person,reasons was mainly to be there for Elora during her pregnancy period,like she really went through a lot and I was so grateful I was there for her,if I hadn't quit my job,I would have heard a phone call ,during my numerous business trip something had happened to my wife,or she was rushed to the hospital,I think I would ever forgive myself. " Dave are you expecting any body" Elora stopped what she was doing straighten up, her eyes curious. " nope,but I will go check it out" I said going toward the exist frontage,I input the password , automatic open ,slowly I pull back the door,and there stood my mum,my mum!!! ,oh my gosh. " hi sweetie" she smiled brightly ,gave me a hug and handed me her bag, literally she walked inside and left me speechless and dumb at the door. " Dave " Elora voice caught of my perplexed state . " hello Elora " my mum smiled giving her a hug " nice to see you" Elora responded with a warm smile. " how is your body now ,hope you are fine ,I could have come visit earlier but I was told I wasn't fit to travel ,all courtesy of my husband and Dave " she eyed me giving throwing a cold stare at me. " and I wonder while you didn't listen"a little bit of sarcasm and a fake smile. " you can't stop me from seeing my grand child ,my first grand child" she abruptly replied. " ok ok fine I get it" I waved, surrendered,knowing fully well if I continue with the conversation I will have a lot more coming. " and how is everyone home" I asked changing the topic. she exhale, probably exhausted of the long trip " everyone is fine "she answered looking around "well I will leave you for a while,and get food set" Elora stood up took mum's bag walking away. I bit my lip , another habit I do when am upset and worried." so how you feeling,you could have just told me , really wanted to come ,and I would have booked a flight to come over" she hissed " do you think am that weak ,am fine Dave " hesitating to speak,I exhaled,releasing my anger build up in my lungs and flashed a smile " come let me show you your room,you probably gonna stay for sometime" . she stopped mid way ,turned and scowled at me " yeah , why do I bring a bag for, and I did not come for you,am used to not seeing you alot, Elora and my grand child is what I came here to see". " ok fine,hey the baby,we agreed when the baby is six months old we will come over ,that was the agreement " " Elora!!,come hold your little man he is a pain to my arse" she suddenly yell out walking toward the door to her room I had already open,she took the door handle,frown and jam the door. smiling at her reaction I walked back to the living room to get my phone . " we're is mum" Elora came behind me " in her room" I sighed collapse on the chair. "you have to be easy with her Dave , seriously you damn lucky you had your mum around to worry ,unlike mine who is no more God bless her soul" " I don't need her for now,like I got it covered and also her health,am more concerned" "all the same,just be happy she is here,you can now have time to be more focused on your studio,it been over a month you been there " I gaze at her,amused and amazed by her compassionate way in how she talk things through,I would at times wondered how she get those wisdom tactics from,in one or two occasions she had helped me in solving a case I thought I wouldn't handle. before I came up the idea to be a photographer,choosing a good location, a task so very difficult for me,reason is that living in Texas a place so developed and occupied,left me no place to get a cool spot for my studio,like I wanted it to be in an open place ,were it can be well patronized and also spotted,I searched endlessly,still I couldn't see the one which matched my requirement. Elora came to my rescue,I had almost given hope, frustrated and no other means to get a place,mind you I wanted a place close to home,if not that I would have gotten one since I worked in one of the famous ,biggest networking company before,just a phone call from my co workers and company organization,being am a top staff ,I would have gotten a suitable place . Elora made a contact,and within a week ,she had acquired a show room,in exactly the area I wanted it to be,damn like ,this is the location I struggled so much ,and just a space of a week am so good to go. " you really a one hell of a woman" I caught her unaware ,pushed her to the long couch and we were locked up in a warm romance, I was so aroused that I had attempt to get my hands underneath her undies ,caressing her smooth enticing laps." stop it Dave ,we are not alone" she whispered to my ear,I glanced toward the door side that lead to the other room,for a moment still untop of her I tried to process her word ,then it hit me ,damn my mum. on a normal day when are so full of our self we do not wait to get to the room and have s*x,we do it right this couch, and if to my own reasoning is not a bad idea ,for example holding up you fart to get it out at a hidden place seems impossible,also same goes to s*x. " nothing" she shurgged, flashed her sweet charming smile at me. my mum stayed for two months,and I bet those seasons were the most, dramatic season,she really feels she was the owner of the house,if only her possession of caring for Haley was not enough,she boss us alo....ot. through my childhood to adult stage,I was always distant from home,at six , I was enrolled in a boarding school,due to the time mum was still working at the insurance company,and dad a sailor. although my education,I was always distant from home,by the time I entered college,my mum got pregnant with the twin,so after I graduated from college,I was immediately offered a job and continued my life ,living alone. on one occasion,she forced me to go to the grocery store to get an irrelevant item ,we argued and argued,that my throat hurt,Elora could not help the situation she burst in laughter so hard I ,got so upset that I faced her. " laugh as much as you can,because it is good for the health" I said sarcasm. " oh Dave " she chuckled, trying to suppress her laughter. " don't mind him ,he really unserious being ,how do you live with him" she asked turning to Elora. " that what I keep asking myself" she waved her hand in an excited gesticulation. I looked at her,she winced at me, chuckled again . " just go and get me does item Dave,as you feel you like to stay always at home ,and be so clingy to the baby" mum said .taking out a diaper to change the already messed up one ,on her . I grabbed my car key on the way to the exit,wore my coat and left. another occasion,which I concluded in my heart ,if I had to get her to go home,will be made as soon as possible, like she didn't even have any plans to go back to Chicago,that were dad bought a house , after I got married,and dad lease out the old house. my dad is a person who you will classified as a simple,and cool man,his jovial mood and non belligerent character got me so much respect for him, although he retired from service,he never been idle hands,having running around one business things all the other unlike mum,who quit when she gave birth to my twin sisters,she hadn't laid or worked ,which I was against, fully against, cause I made show I helped a lot on financial support. on that embarrassing occasion we were chatting,and having fun ,while mum was with baby in the nursery room,we got so much into it ,that we started to go romantic,and like I said,we sometimes have s*x on the couch we were so aroused that we started getting ready to do our thing there , forgetting we had an elderly person on the loose, halfway to insert my cucumber,I heard my name been called. I left to see what mum was calling for,I entered the door,she stood,near the door ,hand folded,watching me. I was shocked like I didn't expect her to be so close to the door,and that means one thing,she saw us . I cleared my throat " ye mum" I flashed her a smile " do you want to wake the baby with your weird love making" she furrowed her brow. " do....I" I was short of word, embarrassed,no!!! why would I be embarrassed in my own house,I shurgged having no words in my mouth. " when you want to do your love making,why not in the room,and you shamelessly decided to go ahead doing it in the living room,turning things upside down" she click her tongue , staring at me,like I was the worst sinner on earth. just imagine my own house I get to decide were and we're to do anything,is not like we went to far,at work place in the studio shop,my co employee discuss how they even went to the extent of having s*x in the kitchen counter,like that was what you call craziness . " when you guys her through,tell Elora to get prepared ,cause we are going to the place I discussed with her yesterday about" she sigh, paused looking at the direction of the living room,stare at me in a irritating and walked away. I exhale, pissed off,cause I really know get to go to the process again will never be as sweet as before.strolling back to the living I sat on the couch and picked up my phone. " so what did she say" Elora whispered to me. " she said you should go get dress you and her are going out" I said absent mindedly,my attention on my phone. " Dave am starting to consider your mum stay here" she adjusted ,close to me ,trying to be in a low tone. " oh,here comes the darling, precious daughter,cause she had taken you as her daughter,you don't have to complain ,it seems you are enjoying the attention she is giving" I put down my phone. " how is she giving me attention" " denial it ,all you want,and am not buying that lie" "Dave are we not in this house together?" " yeah we are in this house,but almost every day you people go outing,like as if you are in festive period,she can never ask if I will tag along" " so you mean if I were to ask you should join ,you would?"Elora ask me. " yeah, right she is my mum,am not against she taking you out ,but she left me behind " "is that why you are angry" Elora asked grinning at me. " before I would be,but now am not anymore,she has over stayed her welcome,it time to go see dad,I made an agreement Haley will come visting when she is already six months" " she is not going now,Dave let her be" " can you imagine telling me were we will have s*x , when we know fully well this couch is our favorite spot,so an......" " hello" Elora greeted Desmond,my subtitled and personal manager,meanwhile I went to park the car at the garage parking lot,very close to my studio. "hi Elora" Eric on of my employees,who was an artist gave a handshake, ushering her further into the studio,the moment I stepped inside. " hello desmond" I waved at him . " what a surprise visit ,nice seeing you today,we have been expecting your calls" he stood up from his chair ,picked up some files on a table arranging in order. " and here I am" I smiled," so what going on ,how is the project preparation,you called me weeks ago coming about" I asked him admiring at the artistic paints Eric drew on a canvas board. " about that ,I forgot to tell you, essentially we need to get a model to play the role in a the tv show,our media have come to a conclusion on a joint meeting,and for our budget now ,there is low finance to endorse on a model" I click my tongue worried ,why did I not have that in mind ,and it was my fault to my absence from work for over a months,had I know about that,I would have been presence,and find means to raise the money for the show. " the dead line would be ending of next week,cause the fixed date for the show is on Monday,I thought I had it under control , and mainly because you were staying care of your wife who just put to bed months ago,believe me Dave ,I didn't mean for this to go wrong". " it fine Eric, literally I blamed myself for not coming to work earlier,now we just have to figure out a way to get some money to sign up a model" " I have an idea,why don't we take a loan" he asked. " no , am so much against it" I smile faintly and leaned back in my chair. " so how we gonna go about it" I was lost in thought as I battled irritation, trap in between confusion and ideal,on what spell and magic I have to do to raise $ 20,000 which seems impossible. an idea struck my mind,Elora once told me she always has ambition to become a model,yeah that it!!!!, she is what you can check pass for a model,I stood up and strolled into the show room going to where Elora was chatting excitedly with Desmond. I walked into the art room and sat near an empty chair,watching keenly as Elora kept on relating with Eric,her laughter echo around the art room,I came around to her side and slide my arm on her hip. " come over here" I smiled seductive. she didn't hesitate,rising from her chair and sliding into my embrace ,her arms wound around my neck. " I can feel you" I murmured,closing my eyes,savouring the sensation of her body scent,treasuring them. " I feel you too" she whispered " I have something to say to you" I loosened my arm ,taking her to seat on the couch, further away from Eric ,who turned to his artistic painting preparing his paint brush ,for another drawing. I narrated everything to her ,and what we her facing now, bringing the favour if she would take up her dream to be the model for the tv show. this question hung on the air,seeming weighted with significance, something important was happening here,she struggled for the right way to answer, instead " you mean I should be a model?" she chuckled,not sure of what she heard. " yeah,it has always been your dream to be a model,so now is the time to show yourself and actualize it" I took her hand and gave a little squeeze. she nodded without saying not another word. I swore quietly" I thought it will be a surprise to you" " it a fantastic surprise " she flash a smile." the instant you told me ,my first thought was that I stepped into wonderland" my smile began to return" cool am glad you really gonna help me out,you will love it" I assured . we made preparations,mostly on the background settings on the tv show,our sponsor who was hosting the show,said they wanted to have a meeting with the model ,that my wife . Elora talked excitedly about the meeting and I happily celebrate, encouraging her and two days to d day we went on shopping, never mind mom stubbornly ignored my green light she has over stayed her welcome,and I was glad she followed her heart and stayed,true love on her grand child. we bought her outfit she would wear on d ay for the tv show,and also got some groceries for home. onto the day , we left with my media crew to the event ,Elora was called to the back stage of the show were she was marked up ,I and Desmond commence the setting up of the video cameras,tripods to get the camera in place stabled,speed light,audio cables connecting to different video cameras in position, five of my employees were going around checking on the batteries and lense filter,to avoid any malfunction I was so pre occupied making sure we were good to go,just then Elora came out from the make up room with others model from another agency ,they were so much in deep conversation that she walked past me , probably didn't see that coming,I wanted to tell her how damn beautiful she were on that charming blue dress.
